Maybe... well actually no one really knows what they did "that night" (except for Leon and Ada themselves, and Mr Shotaro Suga of course), but whatever it is, knowing that they did spent a night together (outside the games/movies) is enough to make me happy for a day ;)

You can't expect them to just leave their lives and be together. That would be convenient but they just can't. I just know they had strong feelings for each other and that they would take any chance to be together like 'that night' they were talking about in Damnation. But Ada knows it's still not the right time. Leon also acknowledges this when Helena tried to push Leon to go after Ada right after Simmons died, but didn't take the chance.
