I just ordered 3.5 metalcloak game changer lift with the fox shocks and driveshaft. I can't wait. I'm feeling like a kid at Christmas time.
Heck yeah! I swear the 3.5 GC Lift from MC is absolutely the best bang for your buck. It flexes so awesome!! You won't be disappointed. Congratulations 🤟
I'm going to order my MC GC 3.5" this Labor Day so I'm just curious if there was a reason why you chose Fox Shocks over their RedSports? Not bashing or anything just asking before I buy. Thank you!
I'm curious too. I have beat the hell out of my redsports and they have delivered. Maybe more adjustment for the fox ?
Looks good! My jt is a hybrid with teraflex 3.5 base lift and track bar and metalcloak control arms, rear sway bar reinforcement, tie rod and drag link and sector shaft. Love metalcloak stuff and if I could do it all over again I’d probably just go all metalcloak.
Me too. Not that other brands aren't great, but down here in south Texas everyone on MC kits has zero complaints and always talks great a out them. I was able to ride w 3 diff people in MC jeeps and they all rode and performed great. So I made the switch too.
I bet yours drives and performs great w those mods!

so you went from 4' Rusty's to 3.5 Metalcloak which is funny because I was looking at both lifts myself. Metalcloak seems to be worth the money, quality product. Glad I found your channel.
The Rustys Kit is great, but for me the height and ride quality of the MC 3.5 GC lift fit my needs better than the 4+ in rustys lift.
My Jeep is solid. No rattles, no worries. I feel like the flex is the same if not better w the MC

I love the 3.5 height a little better. I'm older and getting in the rustys kit was hard for me and my wife lol was a little more kit than I needed.
I'm not sure I could drive a non lifted Jeep anymore, I'm totally use to the look now too !

Nice setup first. Why not go with the 4.5" GC kit its the same price and you would have increase breakover vs the rusty's?
I'm older and underestimated getting in and out of a 4 plus inch lift. Me and the spouse specifically 😆. So this kit is about all the height we can handle.
That long arm kit tho looks fantastic

Well done! MC is the route I'm going as well. How are the Toyos treating you? I'm thinking of going with the same tires when I replace my Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

I'd love to hear your review of the ridge grappler
So the particular Toyos I chose were 37x13.50r17 and E rated like 10 ply sidewall tires. Damn things were very stiff and extremely heavy (96 lbs ea vs KO2s I'm running now like 69 ea). Night and day difference in performance esp w my 5.13s. Wild I didn't even think of that when I got them. Now it rides and steers better IMO.
But these KO2s are not new and need swapped out before too long. I was wondering about ridge grapplers next (38x12.5x17 in my case )
@@TXJeepDad I've got about 32k on the Ridge Grapplers, and they look maybe 30-35% worn. They were very easy to balance, and are very quiet on the highway. Weight is a bit high, but it hasn't affected my mileage much at all. They do seem a little slick on rainy roads, but not overly so. Off road, they have performed as well or better than my previous ko2 and km3.

did you have to cut any of the oem hardware off to make the lift kit bolt on?
Not really. I had to use a dremmel for the track bar to fit the bigger head in the OEM hole. But it was easy. I did cut off the brake line brackets - but nothing for the suspension etc. I read the o line directions before I got the kit just in case so I'd kinda have an idea. And MC c/s is outstanding
Why the switch from Rustys Advance kit to the MetalCloak?
The rustys kit was too tall. Threw everything off and was hard to get into for me and the family. Most my friends run MC without any issues even when abused. So I made the switch. Mc is the way to go IMO
How do like the ats stabilizer any problems get that combo to work. It the same route i Had planed for a long time.
Works really well. I was having all kinds of suggestions on how to run it but went with this route (extended TB bolt and mount other end to Tie rod). With the RPM tie rod and drag link there is plenty of room to fit it in with out any clearance issues 👍🏼

Thanks! I like this kit a lot. Now I'm on BFGs KO2S 37x12.5x17. They aren't as aggressive looking as others but man they great on the trails and are perfect on road 👌

That would be a great set up for sure. I also like the ridge grappler in 38s for a taller tire too. Both are on my want list for next sets for sure

Ride quality. The rustys kit I have seems to be geared more for offroad performance vs both on and offroad. Wasn't a fan of the Track Bar or control arm joints in addition to spring rates fr and rr
Looks like your front swaybar end links are installed wrong
I hope I didn't screw up lol it happens tho.
They are Rustys Quick Disconnect endlinks. I did an install video, I thought everything was on correctly.

I finally have an appointment for alignment and check trackbars and control arms this week. I'll have everything looked at. I appreciate the heads up 👍🏼
Is it when the tires were still off? I still had the axle at full droop from adding the springs. Driveshaft was off too, I had it way down.

What do you have a far as options for the willeys
I have power locks and windows, cold weather pkg and that's about it. Came w the tow hitch but not tow pkg. Not the tiny radio but not the bigger one

How long did it take to recieve lift kit?
Waiting on same kit, almost a month now.
I placed the order in pieces over a few days. Took like 2 weeks to get everything. I called and talked to them to get updates. Call tmw and see what they say. Should have shipped by now. I know they got slammed w order for the sale
Is there a big difference between 3.5” and 4” in appearance?
The rustys 4 in kit was definitely 1 in higher up front and about 1.5-2 in the rear

I get about 13-17 w the 5.13s and these super heavy 37x13.50r17 mud tires. I don't commute so it's not a big issue now. I can only imagine if I have to tho lol
You're going to be like WOW when you see your jeep on 37s for the 1st time. It's a rush !

Right now I'm on a 2" spacer with 35x12.5's waiting on that clown posing as a president to be replaced.
Then the price of fuel should come down and my jeep will go up.
Im barely getting over 21mpg at the moment.
Heck nothing wrong w the spacer lift, esp w 35s. I bet it looks great!
Ya the economy sucks and everything costs way too much !
W my 5.13s I average about 12-15 mpgs 😂
