Amos that was great to learn, I can't wait for the final product. Nice to see you out with the family fishing, watch out the girls may out fish you, as when I used to fish, the girls used to out-fish us guys, most of the time! Thanks for the video, I loved it.
Can't wait, this technically falls into my realm of chemistry and pharmacognosy, elder flower is a nice choice, I don't drink alcohol anymore but I want too make mead, I have made a sorta rum I forgot all about just too make use of my yeast (I felt like it was making my cupboard yeasty like in my mind, even if it was not happening) any natural chemistry related video I will love, peace V &
Watch the thick brush at the edge of the water when you're gathering and picking whatnot; I was along the waterline and seen some big wild black berries, so I started to step up in them to pick and right there was a huge rattlesnake giving me the evil eye! She wanted to slither down to get a drink, I gave it plenty of space, she gave me cold chills!
Elderberry is a favorite fruit for me. It is so hard to find the jam jelly or whatever, my mother made the best elderberry pies. Never thought about the flowers other than to produce the berries. The wild patches are a jealously guarded secret up here (Ontario).
Nice one man!! I just finished my first brew of mead yesterday!! Only honney water for me but i use the same yeast as u, Mangro Jack M05 is a good one ✌️hope yours turns out great to!!
This reminds me, back in the late 90s, of making pruno in the county slammer! I worked w 13 other dudes in the kitchen crew, and we were always making hootch! lol, I made the big trays of jello w mixed fruit and they always told me, 'save the juice!', from the ten pound cans I opened. We had yeast, and other whole fruit, and they hid the container in the ceiling! The kitchen bosses who were older ladies, weren't law, only civilians, and kept telling us, 'we know y'all make it, we don't care, the thing is we don't want anybody getting sick!'🤢🤮 Really tho, out of maybe a half dozen attempts at full fermentation, only one batch of pruno came out decent. Omg, good times in county lockup!
Ive always wanted to try a taste of a well made mead. Now is that anything like a homemade wine? I really can't even begin to imagine how it would taste
I wish youtube would get rid of the upcoming pre release feature. Zach insits on using it all the time thinking it will generate excitement but it just pisses me off that i cant watch the video when it pops up
given the fact that alcohol has been used as a biological weapon against our native communities (drink this, now sign here, now move over there..etc) I probably should not promote in my channel the making of an alcoholic beverage. I have had my fair share of bad alcohol specially when I was young and stupid in El Salvador, so I am not drinking right now. been taking a break from it for what I said above and too much sugar etc. but when I was at the river this summer the elder flowers were so abundant and I've always wanted to make elderberry champagne. so I did. I need to be a good example to the people that want to overcome addiction so I am seriously considering your comment and may just advocate for safe medicines like psilocybe, peyote, cannabis, etc. the high levels of alcoholism Ive seen in the native nations of this continent are damaging at an extreme pace so I can see where you are coming from.
Going to make some blackberry mead this week with our gigantic harvest from the backyard here in Oregon!
I love the hula hoop trick for learning to cast. What a great idea!

Is that like Elderberry wine Amos ?
it is but since is made with honey its mead
Gday 🍻
hi
That seemed like a lot of lemons and not much honey
yeah it definetly needed more. I had to go get more honey from the be yard to add to it.
@@amosrodriguezsurvival when I make a mead or wine I use only 1/4 lemon per gallon of mix that’s plenty
no sundancer drinks alcohol..
