Watching this on a 12 year old 720p Sony Vaio laptop, and it's just beautiful. Beautiful, that the laptop is still able to access youtube. Probably was worth the purchase. I wouldn't know, because I found it in a dumpster.

@@doogustrog That’s not true with h265/vp9/av1-compressed video. In that case the bitrate can be orders of magnitude lower. And that’s how it works on TH-cam.

I am using Innocin 27" 4K with mini LED and it looks stunning. Not the highest-end monitor but comparing this to my MBA (not truly a fair comparison due to the screen size) that the high contrast ratio is not a gimming.

Compressio actually fucks with a calibrated HDR. Uncalibrated, it look great. Calibrated for the peak brightness and darkness. I can see where its either the video itself or compression. and I drives me nuts.

This looks better on my Neo-QLED QN95A, than on my LG C1.
The HDR is just much more impactful when you have 1830 nits worth of dynamic range.

I have the same monitor, the 27M2U and its great for SDR content with good color accuracy but there's definitely issues with its HDR playback.
