Wachting this on the Macbook Pro 16" 2021 on almost 4k screen and HDR support and mini LED technology really shows how close it comes to an OLED screen in contrast and blacks.
I am using Innocin 27" 4K with mini LED and it looks stunning. Not the highest-end monitor but comparing this to my MBA (not truly a fair comparison due to the screen size) that the high contrast ratio is not a gimming.

I'm using Chrome v.106 on Windows 10 v.21H2 and this video is only available in 4K. I'm not aware there's even an 8K option on TH-cam yet. And there's tons of banding in this encode anyway due to TH-cam's crappy compression algorithm. Is there somewhere this can be downloaded so I can play it back at full bitrate? 🤔 Looks like superb photography. It would be awesome to watch it in its full quality...

The HDR is just much more impactful when you have 1830 nits worth of dynamic range.

I am using Innocin 27" 4K with mini LED and it looks stunning. Not the highest-end monitor but comparing this to my MBA (not truly a fair comparison due to the screen size) that the high contrast ratio is not a gimming.
I have the same monitor, the 27M2U and its great for SDR content with good color accuracy but there's definitely issues with its HDR playback.
Samsung Odyysey G5 HDR10 and that is looking fantastic

I'm using Chrome v.106 on Windows 10 v.21H2 and this video is only available in 4K. I'm not aware there's even an 8K option on TH-cam yet. And there's tons of banding in this encode anyway due to TH-cam's crappy compression algorithm. Is there somewhere this can be downloaded so I can play it back at full bitrate? 🤔

8k is only available as HDR. Otherwise it's 4k max

@@doogustrog That’s not true with h265/vp9/av1-compressed video. In that case the bitrate can be orders of magnitude lower. And that’s how it works on TH-cam.
