I really like the song from Tinkara Kovac from Slovenia. Was happy to see it in the final.
2014 was the first year i got really into eurovision so it will always have a special place in my heart. All the songs were good at some level and the postcards were amazing too.

Omg Estonia was my favourite in 2014 i would of expected this song to come from a nordic country since Estonia doesn’t do much uptempo, but that choreography was amazing 🤣 should of qualified

i will never forget about silent storm! one of my all time favorites. 2014 and 2015 are my favorite eurovision years. so many solid songs. also the 2014 postcards remain to be my favorites

My first time watching Eurovision! Still the best stage imo, slick overall production, decent songs. My first Eurovision disappointment happened that year when Portugal failed to qualify. Her voice wasn't perfect but come on Europe! I forgive you lol

Conchita was my winner!! While I can see why a lot of people liked the Netherlands, but to me Conchita had a flawless performance. To me "Rise Like a Phoenix" was a lyrical masterpiece and also the way the staging of Conchita's performance was perfection. Actually that song is my favorite Eurovision song. 2014 was a great year for Eurovsion. Also I feel Spain should have scored higher, same with Ukraine in my opinion.

OK I just want to say something... I know a lot of people in the commands wanted the Netherlands winning (what I actually can't understand but ok) but In my opinion it is so important that conchita won because she did something different something special, something with a message. For a younger generation it is important that they can see that it is okay to be yourself no matter what other people say. Conchita also lived this song, got hated for this song. I remember in Austria some people started a "anti-wurst" page to stop her from participating because they were afraid of getting ashamed. She really told them better and thats great... 🥺☺️
Honestly didn't hate Russia that year, and they ended 7th anyway. I feel the Russian government just bogged the girls down more than they deserved in the public eye.
Austria, Netherlands, and Finland were my favs, and Sanna was one of the few times this decade that I've understood Sweden hype, along with Loreen. Valentina deserved her qualification, but 2013 was a MUCH better and more deserved qualifier imo.

I haven't forgot about Silent Storm I love that song and I prefer the live version more than the studio, I just get the feeling of the live version more. and Silent Storm is just my favourite of all time if I have to choose.

We NEED Ireland to send another ethnic Celtic masterpiece, but maybe instead of something midtempo, a powerful and catchy ballad or pop bop perhaps. To think Eurovision's most successful country (apart from Sweden) has lost the memo.

What my country said about Austria that year was the definition of HATRED and it never recovered from it.
On a side note: Albania was kinda badass for me and Denmark was the most hated song for me that year besides Greece.

Oh, God. Still, to this day I get angry The Netherlands didn't win.
The thing is... I think Austria also deserved to win. Conchita had a big message a great voice, and she really wanted to change something. When I first listened to the songs my favourite was Sweden but I want to be honest... I think Austria deserved it more than any other country that year. Not only because she sang really really impressive but also because the message meant so much for her and it showed how open Europe was...
I don't know how I really manage to disagree with almost everyone on this but I really thought 2014 was one of the worst years for Eurovision, I think when the songs were good they were *really* good but when they weren't they were *really* bad, like a usual year I only have like 1 or 2 songs I refuse to listen to but I had 12 in 2014
I'm with you, this is my least favorite year of the entire decade. I even enjoy 2011 a bit more because of some iconic entries though the contest overall was really boring as well

Alesia, as a French I thank you for liking Moustache, but it is unfortunately a very bad copy and paste of the great song Papaoutai by Stromae. I thought that Moustache was fun, but once you hear what I would call the more than similarities, you can't help but being mad.

Okay this is not going to be a popular opinion, but I still think the Common Linnets should have won! Rise like a Phoenix just didn’t grab me. And it still isn’t. Lot of these songs are on my playlist... that one is not..

@@AlesiaMichelle sorry for my opinion but for me the song just was sleepy and I think that it was important that conchita won because she really sent a message and sang so good on the other hand. No offense but I think that her message, her song and her reason to participate was just made for winning. And I am austrian so I don't like when people say something bad about our winning song. We have our pride that kinda hurts. But yeah I think everyone can have and should have his or her own opinion. But I think it was important that conchita won... That said a lot about Europe

Yep we deserved to win.... in 2015, 2019, maybe this year and in 2017, but definitely no in 2014 (in 2021 Maneskin had been the Top of the Tops 🥰🥰).
Emma's performance was really bad, below her standards and capacities, the song was 🤬
Austria, Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Ukraine, Finland, Romania, Armenia were very best than Emma.
One of the worst years tbh. Some gems, rest is just bad.
Bridges will win, Eesti Laul is very predictable and this year will be no different, the favorite going in will win it. Unless the staging is a total flop but I don't see that happening.
