It ironic that the hero became a monster
And
The monster became a hero
That's the whole premise of Undertale
In a genocide run you were never the hero, from the very first encounter.
To be fairly honest if someone attacks you and is TRYING to take your LIFE AKA SOUL. Then you have EVERY RIGHT to DEFEND yourself and to kill, if you feel that your life is threatened. However there is a FINE LINE between defending yourself and taking others life. It in other words defending yourself and genocide. The irony of this is here on Earth in the WORLD it really is kill-or-be-kill. But if you do the teachings of the Bible and the way Jesus was showing kindness, mercy, and Grace. Meaning "GREATER is HE that is in YOU than he is in the World. 1 John 4:4 so what I am saying hear the Bible Passage and choosing whether to be kind and good to others even though they are hateful and mean to you versus being a jerk is how I would describe undertale in the sense of Christianity.
The important part is that Undertale tries to simultaneously model the gamer experience as well as the decision-making process of a character who could do anything without permanent consequences (hint: it's the same thing). Would they despair upon not finding an obvious route to the happy ending? Would they even care much about what the right thing to do is once they found out what it is? Would the sheer sense of existential isolation and/or causal narcissism drive them to terrible deeds? Will they grant Monsters the peace they desire at cost to themself, or will they milk this world for all its Novelty and leave a dry husk in their wake?
In the end, not one of the monsters understands OUR point of view. Their world is:
1. A dark underworld of creatures that want to slaughter an innocent child and take their soul.
2. The family a bitter child never had. This child tried to save them but failed and now only offers guidance the holder of Determination.
3. An entertaining microcosmic timeline enacted through code. Will we grant these tiny beings their dignity? Will we show compassion? Will we abuse them over and over again for our own amusement?

you know, i always make jokes about songs about Undertale making me cry on youtube, but i have to say, for the first time, a thing related to Undertale that is not the game itself made me cry without second thought. I just closed my eyes and listened to the melody after "His Theme" started to play. Suddendly, Memories flooded back, everything about the game, its Characters, my emotions playing it and the little time spent with Asriel, I've bursted into tears without even wanting for the first time since i played Undertale.

@Minelight | I feel a similar way when I hear the Undertale soundtrack, I might not necessarily burst into tears, but on the inside, I feel a strong connection to when I first played Undertale and how it felt to me as a gamer, and as a singer, I have a good ear for music, and there isn't a part of the Undertale Sountrack that I don't like (some of them might be a little ominous, but a little bit of booga-booga never hurt anyone!)
I wish more games would give me the same feeling as Undertale... Which reminds me, play the demo of Undertale Yellow! I swear to you, it's worth it, It's the most complete and sound Undertale fan games yet!
Remembering the scene at the end of Asriel's fight, when 'his theme' starts, can still make my cry at times. Oddly enough, watching it does it less often.
Marik Zilberman it’s most likely because your the one behind the controls not someone else, hence a stronger connection. But same the first time I got to that ending and that song started playing I cried and everyone around me was staring at me.

Actually, the one that was showed during Battle Against a True Hero is also the Undying. Notice ho she has the heart in her chest, the hearts in her gloves and her shoulderpads have three spikes.
The music at 5:20 makes me think of travelling through the underground on a pacifist run and all the great experiences of it and then saving Asriel.
This is a very well made, beautiful piece.
that first Undyne Vs. Frisk picture, I looked at it and my brain just immediately went "ONE PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCH!!!"

Frisk stands breathless, watching Asriel as he collapses to the ground. "I just.." Asriel trails off. Frisk examines him closely. He realized that both of them were beat up quite a bit and so, Frisk walks up to Asriel, determination written all over his face. Asriel stared at Frisk questioningly. Frisk stomped their way up to Asriel and stared at him. "What are you doing?" Asriel asked, his head raised and body stiff. Frisk thought a moment, before smiling and leading Asriel away and into the throne room. Asriel's eyes widened as they got further and further into the castle. Everything, the same as when he left. His eyes teared up before he inhaled sharply, his eyes landing on an ajar door. His and Chara's room. When he walked in, his eyes widened even more so, seeing his parents huddled there, talking in hushed whispers. "Mom?" Toriel turned around and her hands flew to her mouth. "Asriel?" Asgore whispered in disbelief and a moment later, the three were hugging tightly, crying. Frisk smiled and watched the reunion with happiness. That's all they wanted. Suddenly they were pulled into the hug and even Frisk began to cry with glee.
THIS... this I have no words for this it just goes to show how far we've come as Frisk sparing every monster we come across. Like how we befriend them and the sad and fun memories we come across just to break the barrier and set monsters free. It's so warm and heart wrenching to here such a magnificent orchestra between both races to the end.

fast paced, anime feel, glorious sounds, guitar awesomeness, and amazing and unique renditions of songs I've so many times. This is the best orchestration in my opinion that I've heard from you. Keep up the amazing work and stay determined.

3:13 to 6:33 I always come back to this part, when the 4:59 hits I can’t help but get chills, I can imagine a whole allegiance of Monsters along with the main cast supporting and backing up frisk in battle as he helped them all in the past as well.
