Only downside to the Railway is that it loses VAT lock. I am using the automatic receiver recoil is like riding a bull.
Use it like a semi auto. Just tap fire.
I dont lose VATS lock unless a player walks directly in front of me, I try to stay on higher ground to avoid this and have no issues

I have both the Q50c25 Railway and the AA2550bs EPF with the correct mods. Solo'd Earl with both. No comparison. The railway was under a 60 second kill. The EPF was 3 minutes.

Flamer guns are great for short-range indoor fights and the railway rifle is great for mid-range combat. This is why on missions, I use them both in combination.
Groll Quad Rail is the best for everything lol

I was about to start farming for one (just came back after a long break), realized from watching a few vids that it was worse than way easier to get weapons.

@@rustcohle3088 I have a EPR stabilized and it's absolutely amazing for most of the events, especially those where you are in close or indoors. Like at Sons of Dane, I can just stand in front of the door when waves of ghouls come in, and just spray the door and watch them all melt. It definitely still has its uses and honestly, what makes it really strong is that with the full set of right perks you can absolutely destroy stuff at a lower level without needing to be in the 1000's of levels to do a proper bloodied. I started using mine around level 80 and it was basically god-mode. You're not gonna do that with a RR at low level.

I miss the Enclave Flamer being a Rifleman weapon.. it was nice having a versitle weapon to go with my Guass rifle, now I feel Rifleman builds have alot less to offer compared to commando/heavy guns builds (even more so after the change..).
Guass rifle + EPF was a really nice combo that could handle anything the game threw at you.
Honestly it should always be semi auto is rifleman auto is commando.
They changed it? When did they do that? I don't actually play the game any more but I'm looking to come back when they added the next expansion.

Quad groll Rail is the strongest weapon in the game by far.

AA25 Flamer will totally crush it or match it. I’ve done a lot of math and the odds for the railway to beat the Flamer or Holy Fire in TTK is slim to none you have to have a bunch of auto reloads. They are second to Flamers which makes em the best for rifles
Femos killed Earl in 14 seconds using EPF. Angry Turtle just doesn’t know to handle EPF, has wrong mods on it and so on. Very biased imo
@@FalloutKurier6 that was a long time ago when the energy dmg was bugged and way higher than it should be, now the EPF kills in about 20-24s, still really good and on par with the elders mark(but it will be beat by the elders mark if you get even 1 auto reload) heavies CAN beat rifles in dps but it is not easy juggling all those buffs, harder to be stealthy harder to hit your target too but when it works it’s the best dps in game, the flamer can kill Earle in 10s but it has no range so it’s almost impossible to actually hit Earle Im still trying to find a consistent way to stay in range and maintain all the buffs
I have an Enclave Plasma Rifle with a Prime Capacitor and Aligned Flamer Barrel Mod. The 3 legendary effects are Anti-armor, Vital (+50% Critial Damage), and VATS Optimized (-25% Action Point Cost). My AP cost on this is 24. TBH I never really noticed if it was more or less AP while using VATS. But I also took a very long break from this game after legacy weapons were removed.
FYI AA2550% is the best since you can kill in one mag you don’t need to increase your total damage with 50c you can go with FFR
@trentenfolland3982 Either way your doing massive damage and have a G Roll lol. I have a Bloodied, replenish AP with kills, and 15% critical charge, on an Enclave PR with a relex and stock. I have a boxed Mod for both the automatic barrel and True Flamer Mod. No one has made any offers as it just has a regular barrel mod atm but if I was a bloodied build it would be deadly I imagine lol.

@@luckyjohnson29patton16 I know understanding some of these thresholds were AA beats Bloodied is weird. I look it it like Bloodied is best outside of bossing since there’s no damage reduction unless you hit certain creatures on certain limbs. Weak points don’t have any damage reduction outside of bossfights though. Very few guns are better with AA than Bloodied
I have not played this game in a long long time... I went with an explosive build and realized all the bosses had super resistances to various energy damage types. Which included explosives apparently. I did almost no damage with rockets, cannonballs, and the 40mm.
It doesn't look like that's changed, which kind of sucks for anyone using those larger more expensive ammo types.
Damage not registering with certain guns is a major problem.
I spent a fair amount of modules and cores to roll an ultracite laser RIFLE quad / 50 crit / 25 less AP and on a private server it’s very impressive (especially being quad with gun fu it just clears the map). On a public server especially in events it will not register any damage if I use it “too fast” completely defeating its usefulness.
Very disappointing.
Even the king (Railway) has problems with not registering. Higher Fire Rate ones are made worse by the fact that a lot of times the shots just get eaten/the target dies and you shoot nothing, it's one of the reasons people have started moving towards Explosive ones, but even those don't seem too good since bosses have such high explosive resist
I love both, but in my opinion the RR is better just because of the Endangerol Syringer. I have both an AA/25/Dur and B/25/15 EPFs and a Q5025 RR. They are all nasty to whatever they attack. I also play OE not Uny.
Rr is always better.
Your spot on Endangerol does wonders and the more you have the better it gets, in a full squad this should have the Fastest TTK in the game. I’ve only done solo and duo math 😅
I jusy got a q/50c. Made a new bloodied build to use it. After years of playing a full health heavy PA build with god teir weapons. The railway just blows everything out of the park. Feels op lol.

VATS accuracy on rails can drastically improve with long scopes. The AP penalty is negligible because they are already low AP 🤙🏻
Also they just recently buff earle and his energy resistence is stupid high now

I know this is a bloody build but how is he not taking any damage when I try doing this with earl I get one hit I use level 3 serendipity with life giver and fireproof, I’m guessing it has to be the buffs? Or sent armour
its mutations,armor and certain perks. Blocker is a must when being hit or you will die lol

I dont have sentinel armor but i have a few pieces of ap refresh and run dodgy rank 3 he doesnt kill me in one hit. I also use lone wanderer so that probably helps

Think I'll work on having my epr with true flamer and calibrated capacitor being vampire at least and then get a railway rifle that is bloodied at least since i run the unyielding stuff.
Do VATS criticals still only proc from just the base damage of the weapon? You said yhat in a video from 3 yrs ago. Criticals vs sneak atk damage. Im trying to decide if I want to make a VATS crit build.
Accidentally rerolled my bloodied rr and got a quad 59 vat chance this makes me feel a little better

prime example for 2 things: 1) how streamers influence people with no opinion(earls flamer video before flamer went viral) ,2) in fallout 76 u got to deliver 3-4 times the dps needed for the boss to die due to servers being what they are:S
How do you have 220 damage on your railway? Mine only has 155 with the auto receiver and full commando perks.
I expected enclave plasma to do far better given some stuff from the past, but i guess the changes took bigger hit on it than I realized
dont forget that when Femos did it in 13 seconds or whatever. Legendary mobs had half the health they do know, including bosses. used to be at 50% hp legendaries would mutate and regen their health. if u were fast enough u could burn them down before they had a chance to mutate. now days they dont mutate but have twice the HP. so its no longer possible to burn them down that fast.

How is your flamer doing that damage? I'm level 343. I have all commando and science perks amd mine only does 54 regular, 54 energy, and 24 burn damage with gama wave emmiter..
I notice that his health goes down to like 5% then magically back up to 20% and Idk if he's got a shortcut to take a super diluted radaway, can someone explain this? I stay at 20% but when I drop too low to stay alive, I have to take a diluted radaway which brings me up *too* high ie. 50% health or so, then I have to drink toxic goo to get back down to 20%, its tedious, how can I go from 5% HP to 20% so quickly like he does in this video?

@@Regenicss Not how his health goes up, how he gets rads perfectly down to around 20% health so quickly. I take a diluted radaway then need to adjust with toxic goo like most bloodied players i know and it's not as quick. i looked it up and sounds like he has keyboard shortcuts making it quicker than on a Xbox controller.
Yeah pc had the advantage of being able to hot key items to numbers so we can spam 1-9 to spam eat items. And as far as rads, use a diluted rad away (-150 rads) then spam 3-4 spoiled Brahmin milk (+30 rads per milk) is what I do
yeah i have been having that weird thing where the damage doesn't register and i just stand there thinking im getting kicked but no it just had invincibility for 20 seconds for some reason

Yep love my RR Rifles. I have all top tear explosive variants. AA, bloody, Quad, Furious, Mutants (Mutations increase only) im giving my buddy a instigating explosive RR wt 50 break.
Oh i also have vamp explosive RR.
I like my railway rifle BUT! I LOVE MY ENCLAVE PLASMA RIFLE even more.. Having a forceful stock makes it last longer..Besides you cant melt the enemy with a railway rifle but love the choo choo sound.. Thank you Angry Turtle..❤❤❤

My vampire enclave plasma flamer is essential to my bloodied commando build but i also frequently use a 10mm smg so what do i know (definitely a great support weapon or backup)
Doesn't Endagerol syringe only work for ballistic damage? It wont make a difference for energy weapons, right?

I'm over here with my Q50c25v Fixer because I think it's neat.
My AA2525 epf with calibrated capacitor beats out my QEDur RR by a mile and a half, and it doesnt break mid fight either.. i dont know what happened during your test but maybe you should redo it..😅 dont get me wrong, i LOVE the RR because i dont need to spam coffee to do good dps.. but the difference for me was about a 1 minute kill compared to a ~30 second kill.
The biggest flaw of the epf is the distance thing you saw, it feels like you have to stand further away than the flamer would actually reach at times.
The dps difference vs eerle with full buffs of an AA25 EPF vs a QFFR15r RR is the EPF has a 84.81% dps advantage. Its not even close. The epf is capable of around a 12 second eerle kill
I do think the server end really screwed with you though
What scenarios are you getting 12s kills?? A full squad hitting him with endangerol? Ive done a lot of math and spoken with dataminers about a lot of things and learned stuff the game doesn’t tell you (it’s so bad) fastest TTK you can get with the EPF under absolute max solo scenarios is 24, and that’s not taking into consideration the two times you’ll have to reproc follow through or how long it would take for him to hit you. Plus inconsistencies with his movement means he could go out of range too. So I expect longer than 24s probably closer to 30s kills
QFFR15R railways with the same scenarios as the EPF(except you get stealth damage too) gets 19s kills on paper without auto reloads. Same things to take into consideration how long he takes to reproc ToftT ect. Can extend ttk and auto reloads can shorten it. With the range, vats accuracy and AP Cost the railway is winning (On paper I can’t stress that and I have confirmed the damage with dataminers like I said)
@@trentenfolland3982 My numbers of about a 30 second kill are much more realistic now, there was a minute where you could crit EVERY shot with the EPR flamer, resulting in a rather famous 14s eerle kill *that angry turtle even commented on the origional video* it is disgusting strong dps. Right now woth crits every other shot, and some damage nerfs a reasonable eerle kill with full buffs, revenant and adrenaline 5 with the first 10 seconds being alsp effected by follow through, youre looking at a 30s ish eerle kill, in comparison to double that with a RR.
Best i can say at this time is get an AA2525 EPF eith calibrated capacitor and aligned flamer, use full buffs, bobblehead etc and compare it to a q2515r RR, its night and day.. Turtle here got slapped silly with server lag.
Ive done the testing myself with an aa2525 epf, calibrated capacitor and aligned flamer full buffs and canned coffee in comparison to both my q2515r RR and qedur RR.. It wasnt even close
What im suspecting is the calibrated capacitor *which gived an additional +100% crit damage* is insane and that particularly is what is making such a drastic difference.. mind you i also believe turtle in this vid does not have a calibrated capacitor.
@@FearLegion-co8gg that’s what you got over me rn is testing my math says the railway is king. There is a up to date speed kill with two railways that was about 12s or something like that solo I’d expect it to preform close to the EPF im no rifleman build and I’ll forsure test this

You can rarely find them in the vendors at watoga. They'll be in the mods section of their inventory.

I still really like my AA2550 and V2550, but yea they aren't really boss killers. Way too wonky in vats with the crit registration issues. Really both the laser gun and plasma gun need proper buffs. The science cards were nice I guess, but we need buffs that make them better in vats for them to be good endgame options.
how is ur radiation(red bar) decreasing just enough to allow 20% hp for bloodied? i have to use radaway an it takes away too much so then i have to reshoot myself with gamma gun
Sit in a pool of water? That's sounds slower and a way safer way to slowly tick up yours rads
Save spoiled Brahmin milk, it adds 30 rads and you can click a diluted rad away and then slowly spam milk till your back where you need

AA 50 crit 25 railway works really good for me actually. Earle in less than 5 minutes. For the wendigo spawns I usually use the nuka launcher or if I forgot to carry it my b 25 25 fixer
The only situation AA2515ris better than Q2515r is when you get incredibly lucky with auto reloads. And i mean suuuuper lucky

Bruh - help the level 281 newb out. First - how do you get your per/agi/luck to the 30s. Mine tops at about 20 with buffs. Second - what’s the build? I am using your gauss shotgun build but it can’t really dent Earl or SBQ. I want a boss build but haven’t a clue what to do. And of course I’m legendary card and lego mod starved at this point but I need more than I’m dojng now 😂

The rail is probably better but this has got to be the most unfair test.
Should be Q50cX or QFFRX Railway vs AA50cX AAFFRX enclave, with calibrated capacitor, not prime. No endangerol syringer either as it only debuffs ballistic resistance. Enclave damage was barely registering throughout the fight & weapon also broke. Should have also done the fight multiple times for some consistency.
You should have endangerol in there as it benefits both guns and would be done in solo gameplay to proc Follow through. FFR is the best for TTK we don’t want to deal the most damage possible we want to deal damage as fast as possible. QFFR15R Railway Beats AA2550% (it kills in one mag so no 15r) EPF. EPF maxed out compared to a Maxed Elders mark preform almost the exact same and auto reloads let’s the elders make beat the EPF.
Ive spent a lot of time looking into math and having dataminers confirm it. I have accurate damage numbers just there are variables that stop me from getting accurate ttks. I know how long it would take under max scenarios but to get that it takes as second to proc things and every ten seconds you need to reproc either Follow through or ToftT, plus vats accuracy, range, server lag/hit registration.
Since Railway and Elders mark have much better range vats accuracy and imo they land more shots. You might as well go with those two.
The railway had crit damage while the enclave didn't, and for an enclave flamer you want to use anti armor for killing bosses because you get more damage from reducing his armor than you do from bloodied

From my experience with plasma weapons, they all seem to be janky when it comes to dealing damage and I actually like plasma weapons
Im not surprised at the results but I think it was a little unbalanced with basically a 1* bloodied epr. Should have used a groll epr since your rail was a groll. I think an AA50c25 epr would be a more fair comparison to your groll rail. Im sure someone on pc market76 would lend you one for the test.

Is quad explosive the best or no?
Though I see the logic in wanting either ballistic or energy rather than both, I still think energy damage is much more efficient than ballistic due to low energy resistance on most enemies. Making the plasma better. Also your not forced into a vats crit build, which I personally feel is a bit boring to use all the time.
Even better is elemental damage, but a huge downside is Endangerol doesn’t work. On certain guns it makes them incredibly powerful, but other energy weapons are great too like the flamers
Vats crit builds are really the cherry ontop of everything else your doing. But you have to lock on in vats to deal max damage
I have an qe90 railway my damage does 328 per shot and my q50crt15fr 317 per shot but when I used my BE15 it does 422 per shot but I asked my friend what’s his damage for his he only does 220 lol
Damage numbers can be a bit hard to follow without explaining what buffs/debuffs you had

Any endgame commando who has done their homework knows that after the legacy nerf, Railway rifle is king in boss fights. Q5015 you have is ideal but any quad will do. All you need is a good build 1 food and 1 drink and all bosses fall.
Q2515r is better than 50c Hands down. But yeah railway is a absolute beast.

I actually got an xbox several months before the release of 76 purely because I wanted something for my brother and I to do together, and hey a fallout mmo sounded like the coolest thing ever...what a let down.. but man I love it now.

I expected more from your test. With a epg you get 150 crit on the gun alone. Get a lvc and pop some coffee.
Honestly, I feel like this is a pointless comparison since the Enclave plasma has been severely nerfed and the increase of Railway rifles in public servers is insane

I’m not sure if you can grab it anymore? It came out with the anniversary event like a month or 3 ago if I’m not mistaken. You got the birthday suit , a party hat , a rolling pin skin and the last reward was the cake
The good news is that other players sometimes have Birthday Cakes unlocked in their camps so you can take the slices.
it was a limited time event, but a lot of people leave it unlocked at their camps for other players luckily. I try to have on near my vendors so people can grab some when they are at my vendor

railway is a bit different u actually dont want Bloody or AA u ONLY want Quad if ur using automatic reciever. B/E rail is kind of a mid weapon at best. ur reloading way too often with a bloody even if u had 15 reload for a 3rd it would still do less dps than a quad just due to the reload animations thats why they dont have much value thats probably a 5k cap gun depending on ur platform
Sometimes I do that with decent weapons, if I don't have room to store & i'm worried someone will grab & scrip. If they have to buy it, they know what it is & it isn't lost to the scrip machine. It at least gives it a fighting chance. Lol

Railway beats EPF in damage ttk, plus with higher range vats accuracy and less vats cost it’s cheaper on canned coffees and your missing less shots hands down the king of rifles, trust

Have a Bloodied replen 15 AP/-25% AP RR that I will toss on my vendor if I get low on caps. My daily driver is a Zealot, replen 15 ap, and -25% AP when I am loud at SBQ. AP cost of 2, I can get off about 30/40 shots if I am not trying for crits and not using ap buffs. Of course losing VATS is a PITA. If I am minding the crits I rarely empty my AP bar.
Given the crazy grind ritual to get the EPF, RR all the way. Also ammo is dirt cheap.
Also makes sense the crit and the follow up shot behavior I noticed with my RR.
Ure using a godroll railway rifle and a dogshit plasma with one good roll. Get a plasma flamer with bloodied +50 crit dmg and +15 vats charge so we have an actual comparison
Yeah. If you are fully optimized and willing to farm all the buffs and carry all the coffee and cake, and put up with range and VATS issues, EPR flamer has great potential in a boss fight. But who wants to do all that?

While eprf was bloody which does less damage than aa vs earl …also he didnt use calibrated capacitor ..and his ap was probably low ..to max this weapon need to use ll3 magazine to raise ap to around 500

Yeah is a pain to max its potential as need right stars, mods, build buffs..but if they want to say which is the clear best they need to post the clear best of both and run both..
Is it not an unfair comparison at roughly 5:00? He is comparing the bloodied damage of EPR and then says if you have a bloodied RR then the damage goes to 300. But he is showing that on a quad RR, so you wouldn't have the bloodied damage. Maybe you'd get 300 on a bloodied RR sure, but then you lose quad and that's the main desirable perk.

Very rare. I've never got one. I had to buy a non legendary one and add effects to it. Spent literally 2 days non stop server hopping trying to get the flamer barrel to spawn at watoga train station or watoga shopping center and literally took 2 full real days to get the mod

I’ve been rocking my be railway since level 30. I always got hate for it, but for me at the time it was the best thing I had, that and a lvl 15 bloodied 25 15 handmade, but the rail way was just easier to manage. Always had a few hundred spikes on me no matter what lol
okay so enclave plasma just sucks with so many downsides while railway has literally 0 downside cuz it eats so little AP that everything dies before you run out anyway.
