I'm still listening to it September '24. Kav sings this off the planet and Xani is amazing as she tells the whole story with her violin. This will always be the defining cover, I've never heard anything better.
I reckon nobody else has been bold nough to attempt this song- and wow how they've pulled it off. The violin is on par at least with the original( and I'm very fond of this song) and the rest of the band is fantastic. As usual. How the hell did this show get the axe? Seriously?
I love this violinist’s performance, she projects the music, brilliant! I never saw the original band’s performance, so can’t fairly compare. This was a show, a series? I’ve watched many of the rock wiz youtube vids, i really missed out on the series, thank goodness so many are published on youtube. Love the vocals.
@@tomeemerson Rockwiz was a music quiz show on tv in Australia. It had 2 teams of 3 with 1 famous singer or member of a band on each team. Each episode started with the singer/ band member doing a mini performance of one of their songs. Then there was the quiz part, then each episode ended with the 2 well known singers/musicians doing a cover version of a song. This video is the cover song for that night. There are so many amazing cover performances of musicians who normally would never play together, but they managed to create magic. The Rockwiz band are superb as are the back up singers Vika and Linda Bull.

Xani put together a fantastic show a couple of years back called Stand By Your Woman which featured an all woman backing band supporting a wide range of leading male and female Aussie performers, which I was lucky enough to attend.
Kav, you friggin absolutely nailed it, made it yer own 👏👏. And of course what a superlative band, violinist and the best backup singers in the history of Oz music. Epic fully rockin version.

This song 'Hurricane' is by far the best cover version of the Bob Dylan classic I have ever heard in my life. I Just wish I had of come across it years ago, but unfortunately I only found it last week. And you BETTER believe its in favourites + playlist already.xx
