I own the 5' crossing and it is by far the best awning I have ever owned. And now that you sell optional poles, it's absolutely perfect.

Heck yea! Thanks for all the support! No pun intended...

Great job guys! I appreciate the humor mixed with extremely scientific testing. Looking forward to owning one of these bad boys for my Delica!

We're basically running a lab down here in Texas. Let us know when you get yours mounted up! We'd love to see it.

I got a Crosswing as part of the Kickstarter; I haven't mounted it to my tiny camper yet, but I'm curious as to the torque forces from the awning as my camper is fibreglass and I'm contemplating whether or not I'd want the pole pack to keep it from flexing the camper. I'm planning on using the mounting plates on the inside and outside as a sandwich, then through-bolting it, but any ideas or thoughts on preventing damage from wind / rain before I mount it are welcome!

We wouldn't recommend mounting to fiberglass without some solid reinforcement to prevent the fiberglass from cracking. Mounting might require some creative solutions. Reach out to us at hello@kammok.com!

@@KAMMOKvideo Thanks -- I've already got some "reinforcement" in mind but will certainly reach out to see if your team has additional tips beyond what I'm thinking. :)

Tell me what you think about this. I’d like to mount this on my Chevy Silverado cab roof facing forward to deploy when hail try’s to damage my windshield and hood.

That's an interesting application for sure. We've never considered this, but it certainly sounds like it would work.

After seeing you guys throw rocks very hard I said that should protect against hail. I had major damage last year from hail. Do you have brackets that would mount from that area? I will be purchasing an Ovrland camper that I might like to mount this to the front of the cab over section.

@@biggarfish You would likely need our Vertical Brackets and a vertical surface with t-slots to mount to. It's certainly possible, though depending on your setup it might require a creative solution.

Thanks for the response and ideas. I would put a Fairing that folds down in front of it too. ???

Are the wind speeds the are referencing in MPH, KPH, or knots? They did not specify the unit of measurement, which can make a big difference...
