Perplexagon Part 3 performed live at Assembly Summer 2016 during Kebu's Perplexagon Tour on August 6, 2016.
The song was performed using only analog synthesizers, either played live or sequenced. The performance was recorded directly from the mixer to a stereo track and later mixed together with the ambience from the venue.
Equipment used in this song: Korg Poly 61, Polysix, Mono/Poly, Micro-preset M500; Roland TR-808, Juno 60, Alpha Juno 1&2; Jomox AirBase99; Touched-by-sound DRM1; Oberheim Matrix 1000; Alesis Andromeda A6; Dave Smith Tetra; MAM MB33 mk II; Akai MPC2500 (only for MIDI sequencing); Yamaha 01V96; Lexicon MPX500, MPX500, MPX1; Kenton Pro-2000 mk II, as well as a midi patchbay and additional preamps for my mixer.

Écoute Laurent Oh , je me suis fait la même remarque,mais à la différence que Jarre serait incapable de faire ce genre de chose en live,étant donné que ses lives ont toujours été fake et joués en playback.Ce mec est talentueux , mais j'espère qu'il a mieux sous le manteau que ce genre de soupe effectivement très JMJ.

J'avais croisé Jarre vers 1995 chez Quasimidi , à Paris , ou il engrangeait les synthés , gratos , puisque Sa Majesté faisait la pub pour le Raven dans keyboards mag.Et c'est là que le vendeur (dont je taierais le nom) , qui avait envie de se foutre un peu de la gueule de "François-Xavier" , lui avait sorti ça "alors Jean Mich,toujours en playback tes concerts?" , Je me souviens alors d'un regard "révolver" il l'avait très très mal pris.
Mais ce même vendeur , une fois la DIVA repartie , visiblement content du tacle qu'il venait d'envoyer , me répéta l'information "je te jure il joue ses live sur DAT " et l'ayant vu sur scène plus tard , je pus vérifier qu'effectivement , il fait semblant de jouer sur bien des parties pendant ses "lives".
De toute manière , j'ai toujours pensé que bien des musiciens auraient fait mille fois mieux que lui s'ils avaient eu la chance que Papa ait banqué tout ce qui se faisait de mieux , comme synthé à l'époque du premier album.
Alors oui,un prophet , un mini moog ou un Arp odyssey , ça sonne , surtout si en plus,tu as le meilleur matos de studio du moment.
Si tu ajoutes qu'à l'époque,on n'avait pas les oreilles aussi éduquées pour ces types de sons qu'aujourd'hui, les gens étaient impressionnés par ces musiques "extra terrestres" et il y en avait tellement peu , qu'ils se contentaient de ce qu'ils avaient.
Il n'empêche que les mélodies de Jarre , ça n'a jamais pissé bien haut et évidemment , avec un tel matos , n'importe quelle merde sonnera super bien.
J'aime autant ce qu'a fait Kraftwerk à l'époque avec ,en plus , bien moins de matos.
Tu avait compris que j'ai de la bouteille , mais les jeunes qui écoutent de la musique électronique aujourd'hui te citeront plein de noms , certainement pas Jarre.
Du haut de mes 54 balais , je préfère mille fois un live de Vitalic à un live de Jarre.

Yes, you can do that with a modern "workstation" synth like a Roland Fantom, Korg Kronos or Yamaha Montage.
