It makes a huge difference for someone with a disability and mobility needs to be able to get a wheelchair accessible room, but unfortunately it’s very common that the rooms are already taken.
The two other hotels that I showed you were wheelchair friendly, and this one is a normal room. I think it’s important for those that aren’t aware to see the huge differences that it makes for someone like me to have a room that doesn’t meet their needs.
If you are given a wheelchair accessible room on a cruise or a hotel, it’s a great idea to talk to management and offer to switch rooms with someone that needs it.
Traveling as a wheelchair user can be stressful because of the lack of accessibility but it’s good to have little tips like asking the front desk for a shower chair when these problems come up!
