Love listening to the podcast and great info. I rolled the dice and purchased a high quality quilt from enlightened equipment. You custom order them to what you want which in turn it takes awhile to recieve it. Almost two months. They have a great website that gives you total weight based on your options. Mine was 800 down long xwide 20 degree and it weighs 25oz. I don't work for these guys but and used it for four years and it's worked flawlessly. Keep up the good work guys!

A great, and very informative video. Thank you. I really liked the discussion on sleeping bags and sleep pads.

You can wash your down bags in the washer. I use Nikwax down wash. I think you need a front load, but there should be directions on the bag for care.

If foam rolling is killing them, I wonder what they would think of body tempering with 100 pound metal rollers.

If you take one of those warm water bladders and heat up water and put it inside your bag do you think that would help warm it up

If you haven't tried, use the foot or toe hot hands stuck to your sock in your bag when it is cold. Worth every once.

Yep. Just did the same thing - bag fully compressed in the closet. Fail.

Ok I think this sold me on synthetic. 4lbs for a 0 degree bag is acceptable knowing the reliability.

And then you can just use it as drinking water the next day because it's already boiled.
