I prefer the red on the 2012 pair. The 2012 had terrible quality thst leather was so tough but I’d rather go with 2020 pair.

Exactly what I wanted to mention. It seems that on retro, for a lot of things, people compare to previous retro as if these was according to original situation too. And maybe the same for the red. A lot of people claimed that red is not the good one. OK, but noot the good one compared to what? Compared to previous retros? Compared to pictures of the OG (but on pictures, color depend to the light, to the quality of the picture, ...)? Compared to our own memory of the OG we worn... 31 years ago? Compared to the true cracked OG you have in your dressing (with colors and shape worn by years)?

2:40 SNKRS gave you ghost stitching and ripped netting. That's unacceptable as UA's won't be that bad in terms of QC. If I got those from Nike in would at least show them and get a discount code and keep the 4's.
The OG, 2006, and 2012 version, the netting on the toe box extends much further than the 2020 version.

The orientation of the netting on the side is different..
2012 is horizontal, 2020 is angled parallel to the lacing area.

When the midsoles on my 2012 pair crumbled due to age, I noticed that theres an air bubble attached to the instep part of the midsole making the 2012 pair foamy and bouncy when worn. I hope they had these on the 2020 pair too. The 2020 Breds didn’t have these instep air bubbles.

I bought the pair for like 50 dollars (2,499 around philippine currency) coz the previous owner quitting the shoe game and when I started rockin them, the midsoles became powered on feet lol but yeah I managed to sole swap them and I was able to keep them instep air bubbles after that.

Bro the stitching on your 2020 pair is missing by the netting right by the slower red tab. QC was Horrible in the 2020. Had to go through 5 size 9.5 to get one pair that was perfect

@@locusfocus6998 you can’t fix it. You would have to paint it. But with black lining it would be to hard. White cements are easiest because of the white netting and white liner.

2012 was bad in almost everything..I don't know if paint will chip easily in 2020 bit god..details are og like in 2020..only thing is the toe shape that isn't quite og..tongue lining is a nice improvement in og style

Honestly I always remembered the fire reds as the 2012 version so when I seen these 2020’s I thought they looked weird without the liner peaking and all the other differences but apparently they’re closer to the OG’s haha I never knew that
I don't know if they modified the pictures, but yes, liner is not visible here on 1989 release...
