POSSIBLE ANSWER TO THE MUD QUESTION! I've heard that you weren't supposed to spit in dirt on the sabbath because you might accidentally water a plant. You were supposed to spit on a rock. It seems like Jesus intentionally breaks the Pharisee's sabbath rules

v29 "We do not know where he comes from" just like it was not known where Melchizedek came from, whom was a foreshadowing of Christ!
