The second game is very unique yet surprisingly funny?
You have this high adrenaline horror scenario with all the best sound effects with the screaming and the monster...
...but then tiny dot bopping around a blueprint 😅

Honestly second game was really cool, love the horror that not actually seeing what’s going on brings, and I also find it interesting the monster is still partially human, as we hear it in pain after losing its arm, but also the inhumanity of it saying that it has a replacement
I took that "we have another" line as a statement that humans often come equipped with two arms

Isn't the story about two minds in one body though, we control the body but cannot see, but it seems the voice knows whats going on but can't move the body. That's why he said "you've been out for hours" and has been trying wake us up (the body).

I'll be honest: I love the first half of the first game. The music that plays while you're driving is just... peaceful. 10/10 driving simulator.

You'd love The Long Drive or Jalopy, both heavily driving based with a chill soundtrack/atmosphere.
TLD is more combat/exploration based however.

I recognize the melody, I think it's like a chiptune version of an actual song or something.
This isn't something I think about very often, but your titles are a big driver for why I click on a lot of your videos. The odd, almost janky nature of the titles give that mysterious allure to your videos that makes me want to find out what's going on. That second game seemed freakier. The repeating voices and being trapped in that loop seemed incredibly scary. The voices changing their tone really got to me. The unknown definitely can let your imagination do most of the work when thinking what the enemy could possibly be. It's cosmic, or Lovecraftian, horror at its core.

If they make a sequel, they can call it "I was sure I hit something ", and if they go for a trilogy, they should call the third game "Yep, I definitely hit something", or "huh, guess I really didn't hit anything", depending on whether or not you actually hit something.

The second game, Repeat Repeat Compulsion, is interesting.
The sightless gameplay, despite gimmickness, was pulled off quite well and as you pointed- audio was top notch in setting the mood.
The story tho- the second ending implies the loop is far less litteral that one might think, even tho the exit from it implies character's unwellness and refusal to adress the situation otherwise
The camera angles are godlike in the first game, so much creativity
I do want to direct movies sometime in the future ;)

Some felt... glitched, I feel like there were times where the camera was supposed to be pointed at something important but wasn't
3:22 "I think I made a terrible decision, get back in the car. Hit it again." Manly will survive many a horror movie scenario and I would pay to see the logic employed with great gusto.

it really is a chilling and compelling story- as someone who struggles with compulsions it is pretty much like that to be honest? the voice telling you to do the compulsions always has a sort of “i’m trying to help you” vibe and it’s really true how it isn’t until you’re at your breaking point that you realize you don’t want to let the compulsions dictate your life for you
It's also an interesting meta gimmick, sort of referencing the character as a character, it's neat
I would really love to see the developer of the first game take that style to another game for sure. I'd even love a longer version of the game here, throw in a bit of mystery about how the creatures got here or something! The whole thing was just awesome

The second game is like a horror version of the Impossible Quiz, and I absolutely love it
I Think I Hit Something has great tension, but I'd say Repeat Repeat Compulsion beats it out. Super simple gameplay and basically no visuals, and it's still pretty gripping all in all.

Best commentary for a horror situation. And agreed - get back in the car. Hit it again. The game's superb sound design carried it and made it realistically scary. I enjoyed the concept. The next game put me on edge wondering what would happen. With a completely cold start, I was immediately immersed in the 'action' of listening. Extremely well done. This dev has an interesting talent that I like. Looking forward to the last of the trilogy set of videos!

These were the most solid, non-traditional games I've seen in years. Like Silent Hill 1 and 2 were incredibly ground breaking for being a first of a genre within the first two Playstation generations. But this dev team captured something else. Something visceral and primal that sparks so much fear and genuine feeling when it comes to an old trope of "scary unknown monster chasing protagonist".

Second game reminds me of a game played by riskrim years ago. Where the whole game is pitch black and you used sounds to get things done. It was interesting called HEARtREAD

Dang I am LOVING this anthology. I'm not a huge horror lover or anything (very casual consumption), but this has really gotten me craving more. I've never ACTUALLY wanted more horror 😂 (if that makes sense)

I love how the second game is pretty much the survival horror equivalent of that one episode where Spongebob and Patrick were playing in a cardboard box.

Man I love the music in these. Techno isn't something you normally see in horror games. The persepctives of these are really unique, too. Great games.

Ah is the second game about living with OCD? the looping, the 'I'm here to keep you alive," the "taking my body for a joyride," and "not surviving this life anymore," ultimately only escaping through suicide. The title itself is a huge tip-off too... and the 'monster' and the speaking person/people (and the 'player' too, I think as the victim who is suffering the intense fear and adrenaline and needs to respond to it immediately) at times seem to be interchangeable and transform into one another (could be very wrong about this,) since with OCD the 'fear' (=monster,) coping mechanism/'inner voice' (=person trying to keep you 'alive') and then 'yourself' (the person who wants to truly live, be free of the endless loop of fear) are both the same entity and yet always at 'war' with one another (so no escaping like you could from a real 'monster.') At the start of the loop you're asleep, which could very well be a way to not have to feel the suffering of living with OCD, (hence "I've been screaming in my sleep for years,") but as soon as you wake up, well... :( I suppose the ending where you defy continuing the loop (I.e. listening to the voice trying to keep you 'alive'/continuing the loop) is a more permanent escape... it's a sad ending that does in fact happen... anyways, that's just my take on it. I've definitely gotten excited and speculated wrongly before. I love small horror games... they always offer a unique and creative experience :) cheers to the devs

I am really into the developer's games and looking forward to the rest of the collection. The first game had some really great visuals and atmosphere, and the second game was probably the best "blind" horror game I've ever seen, even if the intention isn't for the character to be blind but rather for the gamer to use their imagination. Very talented and creative developer.

i think i have a timeline of sorts (if this takes place in the same universe)
Don't look up: the incident, the start of the nightmarish events, this event is most likely human caused.
repeat repeat compulsion: survivors trying to escape a monster during the incident.
just a peek: humanity is now sheltered while they attempt to rebuild society.
a sheep's gun/i think i hit something: humanity now has gone back to something somewhat normal, and there are public safety exercises and police task forces to deal with the paranormal.
So game 2 you are, mostly, going blind. And need to trust mystery voice.
The sound of the radio in the first game was impressive! I like how it moved when you looked. The second game was really lovely and creepy!!

I've gotta say, meAT (or MEat, i dont remember how the capitalitzation was lol) was a great and funky horror game but these latest games? DANG are they good. Horror is a genre that gives itself to be good in a multitude of lengths, and the dev has made some really good bite-sized horror games. I do like the dev still have that cartoon-y style with human characters, tho.

Kind of got reminded of Jeepers Creepers. Where they just run the guy over a bunch with their car then they sit there watching his body as his wings flap out uselessly.
I wish the director of jeepers creepers was the one getting run over repeatedly.
for some reason the voice acting and sfx in the second game remind me SO MUCH of far cry 3
