  • Temporary pen of polybraid with a electric gate handle is all that is needed to put animals in when sorting in pasture. For more info go to greenpasturesfarm.net

      Greg Judy deserves more recognition than Joel Salatin! Greg needs to go on Joe Rogan!

      Jesse Campbell absolutely agree with you. We need to get all of these regenerative ranchers on main stream outlets. A passionate, educated, well spoken and down to earth individual like Greg can really change some minds if he can be heard by the everyday consumer. Rogan would be a great way for him to spread the message to that consumer who is wanting to be educated and learn new things. It would help to have him on Rinellas podcast as well as most of those listeners are people trying to do right by nature and take just what we need

    Now THAT was a great tip! Not knowing anything though it would be nice to see/know is this just steers? Do this to take out animals you dont like the look of? Other reasons for separations? How often? And where possible, start to finish as the steer was already separated. Just throwing vid ideas out for us city slickers.

    Good idea, wish you would show start to finish how a single animal was sorted out.

      I will make one from start to finish, couple of good pointers that I can add as well.

      Did you ever make a video start to finish on sorting? After seeing your trailer load video I hunted this video down and rewatched it... but still hard to get my head around how you cut a steer or cow out of the middle of a herd.

    Wow! A leisurely stroll during sorting (and for a bull?!) I did not think that was possible. Even Temple Grandon's methods seem stressful compared to this. TFP

    How do you keep track of your animals? Software? Pen and paper? How do you know how much they weigh or who to cull?

    • @gregjudyregenerativerancher
      @gregjudyregenerativerancher  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have both. We keep records on a small notebook that is recorded on the computer. We cull any animal that does not perform well.

    Greg do you think you could raise buffalo same way

    • @PlazaQueen
      @PlazaQueen 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I live in Utah and know of a herd of "Beef-alo", a buffalo crossbreed near me. They use 5 or 6 feet high electric fencing on a large plot of land, as in more than 10 acres.
      That being said, i would not try this with one lol. I'm sure they spook too easily.
