Alexander Izak is someone we should be looking at and a step in the right direction because the pace of the Arsenal with Saxa , Martinelli, Trossard is incredibly fast , dwelling on the ball was a problem for Arsenal last season in certain important matches in attack so that has got to be looked at when buying someone, Victor Gyokeres would be another player that would be able to fit in the Arsenal playing system .
Sesko would have been no different in style than Arsenal's own Mika Biereth .

A question: Do you find the allure with Isak is due to his silkiness reminiscent of Thierry? Do we want a bully pitbull type (more.. Osimhen/Haaland esque) vs a silky striker upfront (a la Isak)? I think Havertz has actually a good balance between the two of ability to be aggressive and get stuck in, but has technical flair to go with it. We saw it took him half a season to be put in the ST role, and I feel he closed out the season with respectable numbers that show if he was there at the start of the season, he'd of potentially got the 20 goals we expect in an upfront person. And having seen him in Germany (both yesterday and throughout the past couple months), I believe he actually might be our go-to talisman. I personally prefer Havertz to Isak as I like a striker that can get dirty; well versed in the dark arts but equally has the technical flair without being bullied by CBs. There is a possibility I need to watch full games of Isak to make a comprehensive judgement (vs the highlights I've watched of him)- I find him to be a great player, I just don't know if I start him over Havertz at the moment (unlike the wilfulness I would be open to if Osimhen was given the buy). But maybe it's a system judgement - maybe the consensus believes you plug Isak into our current system and he becomes "the guy". Also - RIP Kevin Campbell. Condolences to his family and friends.

I agree. Get him, Douglas Luis and Fofana who is on the cheap. Keep Tierney who will be coming in around the 70th to 75th minute to close out games just as a rotational player. Both Tierney and Tommy are injury prone so we need to rotate them. Occasionally play Timber on the right so Ben White could get some rest. Rotate Tommy with Gabriel at the Back for rest. Rotate Ben White with Saliba a couple of games. The main idea is slightly rotating the team in a way to maintain continuity. Even if we could get a right back so Isak, Douglas Luis, Fofana and a right back. This will cross £200K but that's not talking sales into consideration
The CBs dont need a rest. They showed that last season. Its more the attacking players that need rotation.
But yes tomi needs to be used as squad player. Tierney is not worth the wages alone considering his god awful injury record. Better to sell him.

We should be smart and sign a proper winger this summer and try for Isak again next summer. Also we could sell Jesus which would bring in some money. NC won’t sell this summer and next year another year from his contract would be off.
I love AFTV and rate them high, but the disrespect they give Victor Os is too much. What has Isak won yet? Which team has the shoulder? Havertz it’s going to be our starting striker. He’s an Arteta signing that we spent big money on and that’s our highest paid player.
Partey will leave, so in a replacement for him is probably were we will spend our money.
Nelson will leave, so we will probably get a replace my for him as back up for Saka. Or we’ll get a back up striker (someone young that won’t cost too much) and use Jesus as back up for Saka.
We will probably also get a left back and replacement for ramsdale.

Newcastle WILL NOT sell Isak. We don’t need David, we have Jesus. Sesko is staying for another year at least. For me, I don’t think we should go for Osimhen. The total finances of that deal would restrict us in other areas that need quality, not cheap 2nd rate players. We are passed that now and if we are expected to beat City, we need quality in every position. Toney is a player that I don’t think will mix well with what we have built. Something about his attitude doesn’t sit right and Mikel wouldn’t want any controversial personalities in the dressing room being a negative influence on our youth. Gyokores had an excellent season but he isn’t better than the others on the list and I’d rather not get a 3rd choice who’s gonna cost over £100m. Vlahovic does have a reasonable release clause however, the way he’s agents behaved last time we tried talking to them, I wouldn’t be surprised if we decided not to go for him. A forgotten man is Tammy Abraham. Mikel tried getting him before so I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes in for him again. Personally, unless Newcastle accept £80m, I don’t see us going for him, or signing ANY striker. However I feel we MUST get in a RW to compete with Saka. The kid needs a rest, he’s being played into the ground. Bakayoko from PSV, Adeyemi from Dortmund, Soule from Juventus, even Omari Hutchinson back from Chelsea would be ideal. COYG
