As a motorsport Enthusiast myself i love the accurate representation in the show. Real Tracks, actually real brands all over the place, the business side, the rivalries. Especially in the lower classes, like F4, people often lose their temper quickly and the overall lower driving skill. I'm looking forward to this Anime evolving. ^^
this is a far better anime than mf ghost for sure. especially after the latest ep when you see both MCs' backstories and how they're kinda pushing each other to get over their past traumas and move on to greater things. the art is also beautiful and most importantly, the direction and interactions are top notch.
mf ghost is really just initial d nostalgia... loads of very cringe bits like simplistic schoolgirl relationship drama and very pre-metoo sexualisation of women (actually almost all the same girl). the racing gearhead infodump is the only part that's good, but it's being interrupted a LOT by the cringe stuff. overtake is far better as an anime.
Overtake has been a decent casual watch. Not really immersed in it but don't really hate it. Now Idolmaster Million Live, I really like. Lots of cameo appearances from previous seasons 👍

I saw that one glider racing anime movie, it was a lot better than I thought. I might give this a go

i mean, i didn't like the first 2 episodes because the car stuff turned me off, but i'll check out 4 maybe.
