My favorite Phish ballad. First heard it in Portsmouth 2014. Many memories listening to it while both in the Blue Ridge mountains and the Rockies. It's too bad they didn't include it on Farmhouse.
I get it.....that moment in the show when the shrooms peaked out, you have just about lost your mind, and they pull you back to earth with a tune like this, in an embrace of love, only to find out they have a super soaker water gun stashed behind their back, and .....yes you will probably get hit in the face with it.......yup I that was my last Phish show in 95.
I’m here cause my good friend Dominic , sent me a link. He turned me on the Greatfull Dead as well, although I don’t know much about them, only that I can listen a random song and let the music take over drift away. Same with this band too

I enjoy the jam of any song, as well, but standing next to the soundboard and CK5 Sunday night when they blessed us with yet another stellar Simple...The crowds reaction says it all. It doesn't matter what song it is they can take it any-fucking-where. ie: Sample in a Jar on Jam night of Baker's Doz.
Dudes, they didn't play a slow song in a vacuum. They just finished destroying everyone in the building, brought it back down with this one and the went into meatstick. SET 2: Carini > Sand > Golden Age > Twist, Mountains in the Mist, Meatstick > Split Open and Melt
