    Thx for another great video. I actually did run into the error object array problem I have found if that comes up people have most likely either mixed up the variable name for the individual unit for the whole squad variable name. and if that's not the case they just need to rewatch the vid and make sure they typed everything correctly, trial and error. But thx again you're probably the best Arma tutorial guide I've ever watched.

    So I did everything from the video and the sidechat would not appear, when I named the variable and the callsign the same it gave me a generic error for some reason

    I know this is a 3 year old video. But is it possible to have one trigger enable multiple lines of text from the same NPC? or am i restriced to one sentence per trigger

    I know I'm shooting in the dark here by dropping a comment on a video thats 2 years old, but I've been building a new mission and I keep running into your videos, they've been extremely helpful in the process. I was wondering if anyone had figured out to have independent send text chat messages that a friendly side can read? I have a task that BLUFOR needs to meet with INDP officers to gain more tasks to do, and I have the tasks and triggers all set up and working. I just was wondering if there was a way to get them (INDP) to have text chat appear when the player (BLUFOR) steps into the trigger for the INDP character.

    Hi. Trying to get this to work without luck. I notice in the wiki it says 'Must have assigned "ItemRadio" to see or transmit the messages' . Not sure what this means, does it mean I need an active radio?

      Disregard. Got it to work - I hadn't included a variable name. I notice in the 'Hint' wiki scripting command that there is a way to increase the text size -- is it possible with Sidechat ?

      @@MrLittlepe In side chat, there isn't a way I know of to increase the text size. There are other ways of displaying larger text messages on the screen, that look like this: ocb.net.au/images/bigtext.jpg but that uses sql files and takes a bit of work to do.

      OK - many thanks anyway OCBN - without you good guys to show us, I don't know where we would get the gen. I managed to find another way to get large and bold on-screen messages using 'hintC'

      @@thomassimeth278 the unit or player need a variable name. Double click on the unit, in the top box add a name of whatever you like. That is the variable name.

    Awesome tutorial. If I use one trigger, but have a conversation of several lines using separate “company sidechat” scripts, can I set a time delay through a command, or would I have to place multiple triggers in the same spot with a time delay?

      Multiple triggers with delays is how I'd do it. There may be a better way, and if you find one, let us all know.

    dont work.. sorry But this dosnt work for my game.. i have no mods or so.. Nothing work always say Wrong

      @@OnlineCombatBN Same here, followed every step, frame by frame, and the text always reads as soon as you load in the game, not on trigger activation.
      So I think you have done something with the triggers and have not shown or told us.

    i know this is 3 years ago, but i have been trying to do this for 2 hours straight. i have followed these instructions to a T i also did stuff you did without out explaining like naming the veritable name to chat at 1:18. i am having no luck at all

      @@OnlineCombatBN i am using a list of mods, think that could be whats making it not work? I set a sound to play when the trigger is activated so I know it's being triggered, but still no sidechat

    Hey bro yr tutorials are great. Can you help out with a script to trigger task complete once a plane has received fuel from a tanker? It’s a mid air refuel task and I can’t find the right script to add to show the task complete after receiving fuel. Would really appreciate yr help. Cheers

      That's a tricky one. The way you may be able to get around it is, consider how long the fuel takes to receive, time that, and set the task complete trigger to be the same amount of time as the refuel.
