When you start casting flipping jigs, I’ll buy everyone of them! 🤣. But if I may, on your jigs if the molds allow it, when the weed guards are closer to the hook, the less likely they will get hung up. One reason y I buy G-man’s signature jigs from buckeye lures. The ball’en out jigs are outstanding because of the design. I’m very interested in the bladed jigs.

I work with lead most days and the vapor point of lead is way higher(roughly 1700C) than any temperature you will reach it since it melts just over 300C. Dirty lead can stink or have oils on it that are not good to breathe but you are safe and do not have to worry about breathing in lead fumes. Wear eye protection, gloves and a dust mask to keep dust from lead getting to your lungs. With my job I have to get tested for lead yearly and I have even tested anything above 0 after working with it (and 'breathing' it) for over 15 years now. The most contamination from lead is ingestion.
Cool to see the process I have been thinking of picking up some sinker molds for awhile now, I have access to tons of leftover lead scraps. Not sure I would do the jig heads though I am in need of some cheap catfish sinkers though. 😋

Thanks for the info! Before I started casting jigs I didn't have any experience with lead and my go to has always been to operate out of an abundance of caution. I really appreciate the information 👍Do-It has some great looking sinker molds that let you make several different sizes!

@thedadfish never hurts to be cautious and you already have the equipment too. I will wait until you get some affiliate links before I pickup molds and a pot.. 👍
