I've always found it funny how Strong Bad takes the effort to make excuses for why "Homestar" won the FCUTRERSTUD and made up with Marzipan, but just flat-out _admits_ that he stole Homestar's criminal record himself.
I think it's because stealing something from the King of Town makes him look cool. He's not gonna elaborate on how he set a really elaborate trap for the King of Town to give Marzipan grody Styrofoam chocolates, and besides that Homestar's whole conflict is that he lost the race so Strong Bad had to make him think he imagined losing it since he can't lose it and also have the trophy.
What's funny is that this cut makes it feel like an extension of a standard email. The first 12 or so minutes are the actual events of the cartoon, and everything else is Strong Bad having consequences for his actions he doesn’t expect and working through them in his usual manner. It's a really interesting take on the formula.

absolutely perfect! the cut of this game that i never knew i needed until now! you should totally do the other episodes too, if it wouldn't be a ridiculous amount of struggle. there is a *lot* of boring filler content there that gets mildly exhausting to play or watch

Bless you for this. I always thought the games lacked the wit of the cartoon, but it really was all down to comedic timing and this proves it.
