Beans are part of a Traditional English Breakfast. Normally sausages, bacon, eggs, beans and toast.
Additional extras could be mushrooms, tomatoes, black pudding, hashbrowns, fried bread, chips.
It could be lunchtime which is why the man is eating stew. Sometimes a full English breakfast is available all day.
Well made me laugh when you asked if those are cookies on the plate haha I knew you was talking about the Black pudding.

Our beans are very different to American beans Tim 👍🏻 most Americans when they try ours actually understand why we love them so much 😁 and yes beans go with everything 🤣 the “cookies” are sliced black pudding or as Americans normally call it blood sausage it’s a mixture of pork blood oatmeal onions and spices “it’s way better than it sounds” 😅 need to get you a legitimate full English breakfast Tim it’s life changing 👌🏻

@@scotthill1600 as Brit’s we do often eat more of the animal than lots of nations trying to be less wasteful so we have made food that might not look amazing and normally sounds bad but if you blind ate it most often you would enjoy it👌🏻. If you think most of us like blood in our steak? So just because they use that nutritionally good and flavoursome part without the flesh people squirm a lot. Just remember the Scottish eat haggis and that’s made with sheeps lung and is wrapped in sheeps intestines 🤣🤙🏻.

Beans is a very British thing for breakfast. We eat it a lot in Canada because of that and I love it.
For our confused American friends... 1) Scouse Stew is traditional only in the Liverpool area, we don't eat it anywhere else in the UK. 2) Black Pudding is a sausage made of pigs blood, sliced thickly and fried. It has a crumbly texture and is much nicer than it sounds. 3) no we don't all eat these heavy breakfasts every day - for most they're a treat/weekend thing - but plenty of people do. A place that specialises in this type of food is usually called a "greasy spoon caff" (spelt café, but said "caff")!

Beans is a staple food in the uk, if you ever come to the UK Tim please try a full English breakfast & Greggs! Also if you don't like mushrooms, mixing beans with them might help.

That's mostly an English breakfast. Being Scottish we don't do the fried tomato but we have fried bread, and yes timmy, beans are the essential lubricant for the very dry black pudding, toast and slice sausage. Beans are a breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper side in Britain. Oh and the only pizza you should eat is a chicken, pineapple and bacon one. Next time your at the chippy ask them if they do a battered deep fried black pudding, haggis and chips. You can thank me later once you've tried them

That is black pudding. I make black pudding as a job. I love the stuff, it is works blood, with barely, onion, fat, spices, and oatmeal. There is other stuff that goes into it. But they are the main ingredients. It is made with dried blood in powder form.

Uk beans are savoury and have a tomato based sauce...where US beans (Boston beans) are cooked with molasses and pork salt or bacon over a long time making them smokey tasting

Beans are standard on an english fry up, never had spam or luncheon meat on one, though. Defo a scouse thing. I also have to have desserts to balance the salt intake a bit.

3:44 Beans are very normal as part of a "Full English" breakfast, which that most definitely is not but has the same ingredients, except for the hash browns, that's an American thing, until a couple of decades ago it would never have been part of a "Full English". The rest though, yeah, definitely part of a normal FE breakfast although the sausages would just be normal ones not those massive phalluses. If you'll notice he has toast (toasted bread) too so you can put the beans on there or just dip it in the beans, you can also dip the toast into a soft yolk of your fried egg. (Boiled egg and "soldiers" is another, quicker British breakfast, where you have 1 or 2 soft boiled eggs with toast cut into strips just wide enough to dip inside the egg, after you've chopped the top off, that's a breakfast enjoyed by kids all over the country).
5:52 Yeah, like the text said, it's "Black Pudding", also called "Blood Pudding" in Germany where I think it originated, it's pork blood, oats and spices, as soon as you mention the blood most people turn right off but it actually tastes nice and is a FANTASTIC source of Iron. It's really good in a bread roll, with something else like fried egg, haggis pudding (which is cut into the same form, a thick circle) or a "square sausage" which is sausage meat cut into a square, similar to a burger, really nice quick breakfast/snack with some brown sauce. You'll usually get them from snack vans, at building sites or industrial sites but also from small cafes.
Tim, You REALLY should get together with Beard for a collab at this point, maybe 2 trips to visit each other and go for a meal and IRL video?
If those fried eggs were on top you can guarantee Beard would've started with them, he usually does cos they're the easiest to get down.

Tim the black things are not cookies. Its called black pudding, which is a blood-infused sausage that originates in the UK and Ireland. It's made from pork or beef blood, mixed with pork fat or beef suet and oatmeal or oat/barley groats. Almost non-existent in the U.S. because its illegal to ship overseas blood-infused products into the U.S. if you want authentic black pudding
