- In Episode 114 we do a Bumper-to-Bumper breakdown of a 1971 Plymouth GTX which has a very RARE option inside!
Our friends at Nevada Classics are the owners of this 1971 GEN 3 Plymouth GTX…. In this episode Brian & Mike from Nevada Classics help us do a full rundown of the cars history and features. We open the episode with a wicked burnout and find a super rare option on the inside.
John, Isaac, Mike & Brian at Nevada Classics are always willing to open up their garage door and show us their latest finds and for that we are very appreciative. Side note - This GTX is for sale! If you are interested reach out to NV Classics and our guys will take great care of you. (702) 755-0059
This rotisserie-restored 1971 Plymouth GTX is powered by the factory matching-numbers 440/370hp engine paired with a 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The exterior is equipped with an Air Grabber hood, remote left mirror, factory tinted glass, black hood treatment and a black vinyl top.
The interior features factory gauges and a 150-mph speedometer, a standard AM radio, power steering, a console-mounted cassette tape player with microphone, bucket seats with black vinyl upholstery, a premium wood-grain console and an interior trim package. It rides on 15-inch Rally wheels wrapped in correct Goodyear F70 Polyglas tires.
Finished in the original High Impact In Violet exterior color, this GTX is listed in Galen's Registry as #102 of 159. The original Fender Tag decoding from GTS and a matching spare with jack are included.

As a car guy, I always look forward to your videos. MOPAR muscle is my favorite. MOPAR or NO CAR
Indeed. MOPAR is king, period.
I appreciate the support! This GTX has to be one of my top ten favs… the color is epic!
The 1971 - 72 Dodge and Plymouth had an interesting coke bottle shape to them like the 1968 - 1970 models but rounder contours to the roof. Both designs were good ones and looked great on the race track.
Ma Mopar does it best like no one else!
Beautiful MOPAR ✌💖☮
Truly is… incredible condition!!
I'm a GM guy, but this is a beautiful car.
Regarding the name of the GTX, I read an article once where the Plymouth executive who came up with the name said that the X meant nothing. The car was brought about to compete with the Pontiac GTO so he started out with GTA (a ford name) and went down the alphabet till he got to the letter X and that is who GTX came about.
Thanks for the info! I had heard something similar before!
dude your arms are insanely shredded
💪🙌
The "Tuff" steering wheel option would be nice.
A classic look and feel!
Beautiful Automobile!🙆♂️🙋♂️
Amazing condition! And not bad with burn outs!
Overall, looks good. Just a few minor detail issues that I can see.
The really huge one is the shiny black Air Grabber bubble... if something this big is this wrong... let's play a game... everytime the guy describing the car says something stupid, take a shot... that fifth will be gone by the end of the video...
@@roberthill2219 Lol
I kept looking at the silver R/T
That should be our next episode!
My favorite Mopar! You made my day again! Thanks JC
Thank you!! This episode was a lot of fun! Incredible GTX!
My Mom had a Satellite Sebring Plus which had everything this Car has except for the additional Horsepower.
Chrysler did have big problems with Rust On This Body Type and Chrysler says it's because of Lead they found in The Detroit River System.
This car hasn't seen the road that much.
Probably because what Car Collector Would Want To Drive it That Much!
After 1973 these cars were pretty much Junk unless Someone Had Them in a Garage.
People who Buy Them and Have Them Completely Redone Spend Anywhere From $55,000 to $70,000 or More to Redo Them.
Yet Some People Manage to Find Them in Someone's Garage.
Which is Very Rare.
The Bird Cars Were Much More Of A Find Because They Actually Came With A Hemi In Them and Very Much "A Rare Find"
I had a 1972 Satellite Sebring Plus With a 400 C.I.D. Engine With a 4 Barrel Carburetor
Wow! Thank you for the info! That is wild about the lead in the water leading to rust! Thanks for watching!
Cassette deck! I would think the 71 wouldve had the 8 track or even the 4 track, i had a craig/pioneer 4+4 in 1975 it played 4 and 8 track tapes. Yeah lol😉👍
Love it! Yeah - kinds of a rare add on!
самый крутой автомобильный ютюбер💪💯👍
Thank you!!! I appreciate the support!
Do they make one of these in electric. Ooops did I say something wrong.😅
71 were down to 370 hp and Plymouth called a 3 2 barrels a 6 barrels not six pack...
It was known as the 6 pack. Your not a Mo Par guy. It's o/k stick with your chevy shit. Real car guy's know that if it's not Mo Par it's no car.
JC, love ur Vid’s !!! Thx ! But 1 thing i noticed : I wld Not actually Touch anyone’s Beaut’s with my hands / fingers , Unless we are actually Driving the Car ( with Permission, obviously ) . It just seems a bit invasive & rude. I wld not dare to paw another Man’s car unless i was allowed to.That’s proper. Otherwise better not . Just my opinion. 💁♀️
I appreciate you watching and 100 percent agree! If I’m at a car show I never touch them! By the time we get to filming an episode we have usually established a relationship and they understand what the filming involves… even still you can hear me in most episodes asking if it’s okay to sit inside. Lol
It's rare that a Mopar video in this day can have so much bad information...
