Sabah is a really nice place to visit!!!! I, myself is from Malaysia and I've been to Sabah. The seafood there is a must try I must say! Remember to visit d Mount Kinabalu for breathtaking view of sunsets and sunrise! Also, prepare your swim suits for diving! ❤️

Good for you Kimmy. I loved Hanoi and traveld through Vietnam for a month. Definitely check out Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quater. You can find a lot of great food, local pubs and more in these areas. The Lakes in Hanoi are beautiful and are so lovely to walk along. Good luck on your travels and keep up your great spirt!

Hi I'm from NZ as a suggestion get to Wanaka rather than Queenstown, it's less touristy and commercialised! I live in Australia atm but spend a good portion of my year in Christchurch - I also recommend going to Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park - it is AMAZING!

+Kimmyonaquest check out Naked Bus or Intercity bus lines you can usually get a fare from Christchurch to Queenstown for $1 if you book a few months in advance. Car hire is ridiculously expensive

From what I hear Spain is about meat and a lot of it. Don't know how accurate that is but I hope you take us along for the ride. I will hopefully start teaching next year starting Aug-Sep! I've got to ask, what program are you applying for in Spain? Do you get a visa, and for how long? To the research that I've done, a lot of teachers do some hours in schools and make the rest by doing privates. Congratulations again on all your hard work in and outside the classroom lol thanks for sharing your adventures!

Funny, I thought you were Filipino when I first started watching your videos. The economy is Spain is really bad right now so they might not be hiring many relatively expensive foreign English language instructors. (Especially as there is an endless supply of them a few kilos away across the English Channel.)
good luck! quick question: what do foreign teachers typically do on spring break, do they have to fund themselves or is the accommodation still available?
I did not have a spring break during my time as a teacher in South Korea. I would imagine most schools outside the U.S. also do not have a spring break week, but there are other public holidays. Housing is provided for the entire school year in South Korea, but I cannot speak for other countries.

I would recommend you to stay in large cities because the level of racism skyrockets in rural areas, especially where one of the official languages is Catalan or Valencian (unless it is Barcelona or the city of Valencia) because they tend to show a lot of discrimination. I used to live just 70 km north of Barcelona, in a city that got a decent number of tourists because of its beaches, and I almost never saw an Asian person, and black people are the ones that have it worst. Keep in mind that I'm only talking of Catalonia and Valencia, other areas might be completely different! Btw if you decide to stay in Spain, it's gonna be really easy for you to become a permanent resident because Spain makes immigration really easy and straightforward. I heard that in Korea you can only become a permanent resident if you are married to a Korean or have contributed 5M USD to the economy, is that true?

What part of Spain will you be going to? I am from the northeast and people are usually racist to non-whites there.
