Kevin, you are awesome! This 67 yr old retired RN, turned full time farmer has now learned to work on 2010 Gas RXV. From troubleshooting ignition system, replace brushes in starter, replace cooling fan and busted shroud, remove and clean carburetor, along with general maintenance, you show me the way! You have saved me money and sanity. Use this cart every day for chores. Thank you!
Hi Kevin , absolutely love your channel it’s helped so much. Getting ready to purchase parts and was wondering where you normally go. Thanks for everything .
I have had the same thing happen numerous times, it is always a relief that it is just the brake drum and not something striped inside the differential. I just put on a new drum and torque it to close to 100 ft lbs
Spun hubs (especially on EZGOs) are super common. The amount of times someone claims 'the tranny went!' it's always a given the hub is spun. The main cause for spun hubs is the brakes adjusted too tight. A lot of customers want their drum brakes to be disc brakes and expect the same performance so they run the adjuster so tight you can't even spin the wheel and it EOL's the hubs. I'm too old school for those plastic chinesium tools. I have a ton of bad luck with Milwaukee tools (they shut down when you 'work them too hard') so I'm just using a 4-way from the 50s. I also got tons of metal power tools from that time and drills with keyed chucks and that works so much better for me.
I've never had one on a Club Car, one or two on Yamaha, but mostly EZGO. A separate hub and drum would help solve this. I can't say the same for Milwaukee tools. I work mine pretty hard and have not had them shut down.
@@Kevinsgolfcarts never had a spun hub on anything but EZGO here. the reasoning behind sacrificial hub splines is to prevent people from flying through the windshield in the case of a locked up hub or axle. That's EZGOs word at least but if that were true they would not have made that goofy brake on the RXV
good morning. what could cause an ezgo with the Kawasaki13.5hp engines drive belt to flip? the clutches seem to line up well and the engine mounts are good. the clutches appear to be working right but could the driven clutch not be closing or opening all the way and be causing the belt to flip over?
Hello Kevin. I picked up an ‘89 gas 2 cycle Marathon off Craig’s list. I’ve been learning about it from TH-cam and Google. I’m so glad I found your channel and am enjoying your videos and picking up lots of tips and tricks. I’ve done a break job, fixed a bunch of little things that crop up. Going to put new shocks, wheels and tires this weekend. One thing that is an issue is I can’t run the fuel down past 1/2 tank. I’ve checked the siphon tube, replaced some fuel lines and filter, but still seems to starve for gas when the tank has some air in it. Is this a sign the fuel pump needs replacement? Keep up the good work!
Make sure you have a vented gas cap. If the tank is creating a vacuum, the pump cannot pull fuel. It is also possible that the pump is getting weak. I would check the siphon tube where it connects to the tank nipple. I have seen them leak very slightly causing air in the line. You could also pull the fuel line off the carb and crank the engine to see if there is fuel flowing.
Hi from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷Marc. I had the same problem in my cart and I resolved it with a low pressure electric gas pump from Amazon. It cost me aroud 12 bucks + tax and shipping. It's very easy to install. Put it in the same gas line, one wire to the start switch and the other to ground. Try that and thank me later. Good luck my man!!👍🏾
I have a 2010 Electric RXV. Occasionally I have a problem getting my cart to go especially forward. If I turn the key right away to F it will not go. If I turn the key back off, turn the key to R, hear a click and then turn it to F, sometimes it will go. But sometimes, I have to keep repeating doing that, or sometimes if I turn to R, let it click, back up a little bit, then switch to F it will go forward most of the time. Then problem is if I park to close to something or someone pulls in close to me, and I don't have room to back up. I also notice that when I have this problem, and have to switch the key back and forth it drains the battery down faster even if I don't move. Thanks
I've been chasing this problem for awhile now on my rxv with the kawasaki. I've changed the carb with Amazon carb, adjusted throttle cable, new pedal switch, just adjusted valves, new fuel and air filters, and spark plug. It will not crank unless you barely press the peddle. What else could it be?
Unfortunately, I don't offer any type of direct support. I just don't have the time for anything like that. You can ask your questions on here or during my live streams and I, or someone else may be able to help.
Hey Kevin, I have a Ez go 2001 gas golf cart and everything on the cart runs good besides the rear end. The rear end slowly moves and when I move it by hand forward the opposite side moves in reverse any tips on how to fix this problem besides cleaning?

Thanks for everything .
I'm a RHOX dealer and buy my parts and accessories from them. Everything Carts and Buggies Unlimited are 2 good places for consumers.

As usual Kevin! Great Job. New information for me .
Super common issue. Good job as always!
It happens way too frequently on EZGOs.

What if the cart is stuck? Can’t move forward. But when I lift the rear end up the wheels spin in opposite directions
My 2005 TXT Gas cart will start but does not move in any direction. I cannot even push it when it’s in neutral

Update to my problem. After lifting the cart on jacks, 3 tires rotate, the one that doesn’t is the rear passenger side tire.
