Rainbow Macaron Cake - Polymer Clay Tutorial

Showing you how to make a rainbow colored macaron cake using polymer clay in this tutorial. Polymer clay is an oven bake clay.
THE CAKE:
I mixed the different colors, rolled them out with a rolling pin, and then cut them out with a small cookie cutter from hobby lobby (in the clay section).
CAKE TEXTURE:
I used a needle to texture the cake.
FROSTING:
I purchased silicone caulking from Home Depot for about $3.00. Cut the tip off and placed it on the outside of the cake AFTER I BAKED THE CAKE.
MACARONS:
I made the individual macarons with the left over clay from the cake layers.
Once the silicone frosting is dry, you're finished!

Wow, I can't believe how real it looks! You did a wonderful job :) I also appreciate the tip about doing one layer at a time, because knowing me, I totally would have just done it all at the same time and messed up the colors, haha XD

When you cut the cake how did it not smudge? mine always smudges
you freeze it first.(or at least that's what I do)

If you are using a softer clay usually it smudges (like sculpey 3). But if you use Fimo or premo it doesn't usually smudge. :)
Put it in the freezer or fridge

If you mean the food kind,I got some at lovin oven bakery because they just started selling them :)
