In a perfect world. Doubtful they’d finance the R & D that should have already been done. Much like this flu. Decades for a vaccine previously and now one in less than a year. We have Veterans with PTSD/TBI/CTE and wonder why they self medicate for pain, anxiety, impulse control, the list goes on. I kept my son out of football. He was sent to Afghanistan. He’s got all the issues but not prescribed meds that work. So...he’ll self medicate. Alcohol causes the most dangerous behavior. I’ve seen it in psych patients, soldiers and athletes. Motor vehicle accident patients as well. Our brains are not designed to withstand that impact, imagine the hits from one football game. And they are cheered on to continue. It’s a mess. Some people just drop dead from an aneurysm without warning. Scary business. But the good ole boys want their football and their wars.

And nobody thought after these statements to mention his behavior to anyone? Now 5 innocent people are dead and one is fighting for their life, Plus the shooter whose life may have been saved if somebody had just spoken up. I don't know how a person lives with that knowledge.
To see this happen, possibly caused by playing football, like I played in High School 47 years ago, makes me very sad.

Unfortunately many don’t or refuse to accept that they have a medical condition that affects their behavior. Some do but are non compliant with their therapy and meds. There are many factors that contribute to unnecessary pain, suffering and death. Unfortunately if taking care of these individuals isn’t profitable to a certain group, they won’t be cared for and the cycle will continue as it always has.
