Fun trail I used to ride often when living closer. You should look up old videos of this trail, it used to have like 10 awesome wooden features, from double gap (small) rolling bridges, single and double teeter-totters, wall ride, wood roller, wood drop, and skinny's! Still awesome but used to have all that too!
I park here: www.google.com/maps/@32.6373717,-117.0337834,353m/data=!3m1!1e3?entry=ttu You can then climb up the road, or climb up the double track on the other side. Take a look at Google Maps to decide your route. Have fun!
Thanks for showing this. I've heard about Snake trail, but never tried to find it. Are there other trails nearby to extend the ride? It looks like there is another canyon south of that one.
I've seen some kids on bmx bikes ride it. The start would be the hardest part, but it's a pretty tame trail after that. If you do, just take it slow and ride within your limits.
It drops in right next to the fire department here: www.google.com/maps/place/Chula+Vista+Fire+Department+Station+4/@32.6395409,-117.0142201,877m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x80d94fbe9dde6763:0x3c9c8a479f16bbd0!8m2!3d32.639171!4d-117.012529
I've taken some beginners out here and they have been fine. The worst part is the initial drop in. After that, there's almost no technical features, and it's not too steep.

Those features all looked so cool. I'm bummed they were taken down.
A few days ago I saw some bikers leaving that area its nice to know there is a trail within biking distance of me.
It's really fun, too. All flow!
Great 👍🏻 video thank you. This was always my favorite secret running trail.
No worries! I'm happy it's legal for all to enjoy now.
Love that trail.
It's so good.

Great video! I was there that same day missed you by a few hours.
Man! Maybe next time we'll cross paths.
Nice riding
Kudos
Ty for posting the adventures
Thanks, and no worries!
My son and I recently started mountain biking. How or where can I find this place in Chula Vista? I'm in National City

Race track is just on the other side another fun trail. Check it out next time.
We rode a bunch of other trails in the area, but I'm not sure if that was one of them. I'll have to see if I can find it!
Rob looks like a fun guy to ride with.
He's a blast! He's definitely one of coolest people I've had the pleasure of knowing.
Is this trail good for hardtail? And beginners?
Thank u in advance
It's definitely good for a hardtail. If you take it slow, I think a beginner would be fine.
I take my gravel bike through snake tons of fun!
The wood is gone? That sucks!
I never got to ride it with the wood features, but I heard they were cool.

There are a bunch of trails in the area, but their legality is questionable.
@@MTBTrailReview thanks
@@MTBTrailReview I love questionable legality. Show them all 😁
Finally gonna start biking again today!
Nice! Hopefully it's an awesome ride.
What did you take to loop back around to the starting point?
You can climb the road back, or there is a fire road you can take back around if you continue down the hill.
Can people ride this trail on a bmx bike? Or is it too much for all that?
I've seen some kids on bmx bikes ride it. The start would be the hardest part, but it's a pretty tame trail after that. If you do, just take it slow and ride within your limits.
Where is the entrance for this trail?
It's right next to the fire station. Here's a Pin: www.google.com/maps/@32.6388106,-117.0145427,402m/data=!3m1!1e3?entry=ttu
Are your feet strapped up in?
No, I ride flat pedals.
Yo where is that at let me know

Do you park on Paseo Ranchero near the fire station?
so you start by the fire station (paseo ranchero) and you end up by home depot on H St?

I'm new to mtb and this is supposed to be a beginner trail. This doesn't look very beginner-e to me 😅
