Matt buddy ..... the whole point of an alternate is to be able to do the dance if a dancer can't dance. You have to KNOW and learn just as much as a dancer with the position.
But in that last competition, Fernando had the same job as he did, and he learned everything... so you can't complain that it can't be done. There's no excuse.

Honestly! It irritates me that he's not paying more attention! As an understudy/alternate, you need to learn everything and you should always be on the ball because you never know what could happen. You can't just pout in the corner about being the alternate and be on your phone -- don't you want to get back into the dance, don't you want to prove that you deserve your spot back?! Agh, I really hope Fernando healed up and can dance for the show because I just...Matt doesn't deserve it, imo.

Loved the episode---so much dancing. The drama over the ballet piece was a bit much---but I really loved seeing the contemporary piece with Harrison, Niamh and Maddie. They were awesome. Good luck at the competition!!
My favorite dancer on this show is Niamh. She's a gorgeous dancer and such a humble soul. but why -oh why- must she only wear LIP LINER with no lipstick :(

rose Proust joffrey has two types if programs, contemporary jazz and ballet. I'm sure Anna is from ballet. She said she's not very good at contemporary. I think some of these dancers are from the non ballet program like Madison and Niamh. Only a idiot would make them go on point and put them in a point routine. Why not show Anna doing ballet and Madison doing contemporary? They can all dance amazing but in there own styles.
They want to be professionals so at their age they should be way better... Harrison said he didn't went tp college to be a dancer, this is very bad technique even for their age.

competition is also a valid form of performance and many good dancers have emerged from a competitive background. Joffrey also has students who study contemporary and jazz seriously . Some of the best dancing in America is not strictly ballet.

Last episode people were crying for Matt saying he must be depressed... that’s not what he meant when he said he couldn’t get out of bed... he meant physically lol he was the weakest one and his body couldn’t take it. But not knowing the dance and his whole attitude is really frustrating to see... I’m so bummed for Fernando... that kid friggin deserves it. And if Matt can’t get it together then they need to bring in another alt... that ain’t right

They are just technically not very good dancers, any of them... they don't have the basics down. unpointed feet, unsickled feet, floppy, unplaced arms, legs not straightened, overall not enough strength. What's up with this? I thought the Joffrey was better than this.
excuses matt gives is weak he missed loads of time but gets stay even though they said one warning then your out he had 4 and still there why i never got fernando he always learnt every dance part no matter he is a great dancer and partner

depends on the dance also, sometimes the steps and counting is quite different between different parts
