- We're joined by MLS Broadcaster, Chris Wittyngham, to discuss the glorious goal Lionel Messi scored for Inter Miami in the Leagues Cup Final and how important it was to Messi to win that game. Plus, should Leo Campana have tried to chip the keeper in stoppage time?
44 titles, 7 Ballon d'Ors, 6 UEFA Golden Boots, Ballon d'Or at the 2014 and 2022 World Cups... Messi Goat
8th Ballon d'or INCOMING😂
@@user-zm9gc1kt8bit's gonna be the Super Bllon d'Or that missi will get 😊
and 2 Laurels to the best athlete of the world
Messi is still the best ever so far. He made a brilliant decision by joining MLS and Inter Miami.
Speaking of Campana's chances in the last minutes, if Di Maria was in that position you know what the result would be. 👼
Di Maria would score from every corner kick 🤪
Di maria would of easily scored that with he's Crazy Composure.
Let's just enjoy the winning stop complaining about that goal.. they win the trophy already❤😊
Messi always Messi 👏 No challenge ✌️✌️
I'm tired of this Messi, Ronaldo conversation. Messi is the best.
There was never a debate.
Mo Salah is 😒
⚡️Remontada = comeback⚡️
Best comeback in history of soccer was when Liverpool lost to Messi Barcelona 3/0 to come back & destroy Messi 4/0 knocking him out of UEFA Champions League 2019💥
It's actually messi vs messi
@@duran9664 Why do you copy and paste this in all comments? Are you r3tard3d?
You guys missing the last piece of this puzzling match and the most captivating act of class showed by Messi handling the captain's arm band to the former captain Yedlin to lift the trophy. That is a pure plain heart of humbleness from Messi.
I been watching soccer since 2002 and I used to think Christiano Ronaldo was the best player in the world but I eventually realized it was Messi the short man is different
Mo Salah is😒

@@duran9664now this is just an insult. I’m not sure if ur joking but this is a terrible take.
Campana still young, in football need an experiance, give him time
Goat is the only one delivering trophies to Miami for 2-3 years❤
Messi doing messi things
As like a dream come true. Many thing's you can dream thats give you happiness but it difficult to come true. But Messi stil gives us his every match.God keep you healthy and happy
Campana would have scored if he didn't have to hop over falling defender, which delayed him by one step. Next time, he'll lean to "dive/trip" over the last defender, forcing a PK. Amazing ending.
He would have scored if he didn't expect the ball to go in. It took him a fraction of a second to realize it wasn't.
Lionel Messi's best goal occurred in the semifinal match vs Philadelphia. the level of difficulty is higher, must have a balance between speed and accuracy and long distances.
because the distance is far, it is likely that the ball can be controlled by the goalkeeper.
Campana took the right de desition chipping the ball. He just failed in the execution. When the goalkeeper is so far ahead of the goal you have very limited angle to do a straight shoot. So a gentle lob is usually far easy.
For examples check Di María goal against Brasil in Copa America. Is almost equal.
Also I remember Dibu Martinez explaining that I. The last shoot of France, in the world cup he didn't wanted to throw head on to the french striker because he would just chipped the ball over him.
Messi always play against the clock and most of the Americans live that moment only when story it’s about to be made and he make you live that sensation every single match
So happy for the MAIMI community and sports fans there trophies are coming sooner and faster
Chipping it over the goalie was the right thing to do....the speed that he was going with and the defender on his heels and the direction the bal went made it some what harder to score
Chipping the ball isn't a flowrish. If the keeper has the angles covered is the best choice. If players don't do it more often is because it's not an easy idea to have.
I'm not sure this Solana guy is correct about Campana's last play. The keeper was off his line and I think the chip was the correct move. You've even seen Messi do it many times (including for his first senior goal at Barcelona). The touch on the chip was a bit hard so it probably went further than he wanted, but that wasn't even what prevented the goal. The finish was flubbed because the defender tripped over his keeper and almost wiped Campana out, which prevented him to directly run for the ball. All those things together contributed to his need to sweep and try to kick it in, which ultimately hit the post. Seems like it's unfair criticism.
Messi has a lot of option in that situation. He can just go around the GK if he decides to do so. He is the master of chip shot though.
The chip was the right play, but he let the keeper get too close. He should've chipped a second earlier.
Campana will be awesome! Time will tell, he will learn from the 3 GOD OF FUTBOL. He will
Subscribed cox of Messi
Chipping the goalkeeper is NOT a showboat move. If French dude in the World Cup Final would've chipped the Argentine goalie instead of shooting straight... We wouldn't be calling Messi the GOAT right now. Well, he'd still be the GOAT, but you know what I mean...
A Classic Movie End😍and another will begin too shortly.
He had enough space to cut the keeper but he went for the chip for Goal meaning he wasn’t expecting to track it down after it should’ve went straight to goal
You see once Argentina 🇦🇷 and Brazil 🇧🇷 takes root in the USA 🇺🇸 that’s it, concacaf will grow exponentially
He put it in the top V
Solana is like an old woman backseat driver on that last attempt. I feel like offering him a Tylenol for his cramps lol
Just have Chris do his own segment
I have seen many players be in that position and many have chosen to dodge the goalkeeper and then score the goal
It’s actually funny to hear guys talking about Football who don’t know shit about Football lmao 🤣
Exactly 😅😂
This guy Solana is ignorant and pedantic at the same time.
Campana CHOKED!!! Let’s keep it REAL folks!!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
you always chip when keepers off the line, its a strikers finish because its unsaveable
I’m not sure the goalie’s foot didn’t catch the ball.
Campana took the right decision in chipping the ball, however after rewatching the play i noticed the goalie got a finger to it and changed the angle slightly which ultimately stopped the goal, plus of course the defender was closing in fast which forced Campana's hand 🤷
If the guys want to learn proper football terminology then please call the goalies 'goal keeper'; definitely not goal tender 🫣😂
the chip is not an easy skill to pull because it could be too high , not high enough or even can easily move off target that why many avoid it. pls this is not play fifa
Easy to say that Campana fumbled the chance to win the game, but remember it was a finals game, last chance, and the pressure is too high. Any normal player will fumble that. Even the best players miss those chances.
for example, Messi in Brazil 2014 final missing a goal by centimeters.
Messi is known for chipping the goal keeper many times
Guys let’s stop with the different sports analogy. It’s cringe. Bring people who know football to talk about it.
Did his 🤡 really compere this game to the man City winning the premier league in last minute
😂
Here is another soccer term:
⚡️Remontada = comeback⚡️
Best comeback in history of soccer was when Liverpool lost to Messi Barcelona 3/0 to come back & destroy Messi 4/0 knocking him out of UEFA Champions League 2019💥
The best one was Barca vs PSG. PSG 4-0 up and they lose 6-5
The best one was the 2005 UEFA UCL final between AC Milan and Liverpool. Best of the best.
goaltender.. lol
13:40 felt his pain 😂
