I haven't played a newer Music Man, I played a couple different ones in the '90s, thought they were absolute garbage compared to the ones that I played from the 70's. The ones I play from the '70s were out of sight just as good as Fenders if not better. The ones from the '90s just sounded like tin cans with strings. They're just not there with the Fenders Jazz Basses.
