8:52 NavMesh is used for AI to find out where it can and can’t go (so that it doesn’t go through walls or bump into them) for instance Zombies, Guards etc.
I can't wait for the galleries of the new POIs. I just watched the gameplay trailer and the one that really stood out to me was that kind of Japanese village. The roof pieces look AMAZING and would really help with building a similarly themed mini BR POI since the Lucky Landing pieces aren't making the cut anymore.
So from how i understand it, it seems like the arrows are different paths the ai can use to get up and down from places, and the color of the arrows seem to change depending on what mesh area the path leads to. It looks like the green areas mean flat surfaces that an ai can walk around, and the blue means a slope or under an object, so in the blue areas ai can do things like mantle to what's above them. That's just how I understood it, so I might be wrong. Hope this helps you with understanding the navmesh system a little better
2:05 did anyone else notice how immediately when he started grinding on that rail, the 8-bit rendition of "Escape From the City" started playing? I don't know if that was a coincidence or not but if it was on purpose that's a neat touch.
I do some game development, in game development Nav Mesh is the area in which things can move. if there isnt the gridlike pattern on an object it means it cannot traverse there. its essentially outlines and limitations of where ai like creatures or guards can go!
I am PUMPED abou the reddit channel! Thanks guys to organise that, was really needed! I always have been so frustrated by the restrictions of Fortnite Reddit's channels, especially on self promotions for small creators like me, we don't have the chance to showcase our maps! THANKS!
So those arrows are where the AI could potentially go, the blue one is if they break the builds and the green one is if they keep walking, this can help the AI when it’s navigating. However, Navmesh is extremely complex, because every area has an ID, like “cliff”, “wall”, “stop”, “ramp”, “run”, “walk” and etcetera. I recommend looking at some videos explaining Source’s Nextbots (not the PNGs, the actual AI behind it), they’re very interesting.
if @Directingpete and @richytoons see this CONGRATULATIONS IM SO PROUD OF YOU 3 FOR ALL 3 BEST CREATIVE CHAMPIONS TO COME TOGETHER AND COLLAB IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY TO HAPPEN AND IT FINALLY DID!
A Nav Mesh (short for Navigation Mesh) is a data structure used in video game development and other applications to enable characters or objects to move around in a virtual environment. A Nav Mesh is essentially a simplified 3D model of the game world that contains information about where characters can and cannot move. It consists of a network of interconnected triangles, where each triangle represents an area that is accessible to the characters. These triangles are often called "polygons" or "nodes" and are used to represent the floor of the game world. When a character needs to move, it first checks the Nav Mesh to see which areas are accessible, then it plans a path through the connected triangles to reach its destination. This allows the character to navigate around obstacles, climb stairs, or move across uneven terrain. Nav Meshes are commonly used in a variety of game genres, including platformers, first-person shooters, and role-playing games. They are also used in simulations and robotics to simulate movement in complex environments.
NavMesh is simply just an invisible space that AI is allowed to walk on. The visualization is for making sure you aren’t accidentally blocking your AI from getting where they need to go
Good video love all of your videos man keep up the good work we all appreciate what you do and keep us updated on the creative news and legs thanks so much
@Michael10. I am so sorry dude I’m a TH-cam or with almost 750 subscribers and I don’t wanna change my profile picture for that respectfully decline but you can play with me sometime if you want I just don’t like that profile picture personally
So if you don't understand nav mesh. Try using it in halo infinite. In creative they have a nav mash that can be built automatically. Basically displays where the ai will go and won't go. Places it won't go it will be stuck and can't move or do anything else besides its basic function. (Shoot or avoid being shot.) But with nav mash it allows the ai to "think" on where to go and what to do in the environment you created for it. The mesh is like a map showing you what directions it can take and what paths lead to that direction so you know how to build on or around it.
The AI nav-mash is for places where they can navigate and not bump into walls or destroy wanted stuff like a car or a building or your own building and the arrows are mostly for to not navigate like go through it or just be like a player and either jump over or mantle. Like zombies or guards.(edit I hope you see this)
This will come this season YET in a lager update similar to the Deku Smash, Erens Yeagers Mythic is probably gonna come when he comes out as a Secret Skin, The Extra Parkour will probably come in a update as a ability such as a Double Jump Augments, Anti Gravity Augments to wall run and wall jump. And Flame Thrower as a update aswell
@MustardPlays I have on my game (I play PS4) the ai path node restricter thing and for me when I place it nothin happens so I'm pretty sure it is glitched in or is broken
Mustard plays here's a tip for u: if u wanna get the new device to stop the guards; just go to the devices and select Recently added, and there u have it
The reason the arrows are there in the debug mode is it's showing what direction they are able to go while on the stairs and the green grid is the area that they are allowed to walk around him
Sadly the new katana weapon the damage to builds in creative so if you're trying to make a roleplay map or just a map in general and try to use those they can break all the props and walls
Fun fact:the new bike is the new fastest veichle IN creative probably not in br 8 havent tested it yet, you can use the speed modifier to bump up its speed and with boost it goes up to 238
In unreal engine the Nav Mesh is a volume where any Ai can move. If they step out the nav mesh volume they loose the ability to move. I think that there only a small portion of the nav mesh is being shown. There might be a way to show it on the whole map? I have no idea what those arrows are 😂

Interesting
He saw it 😧
@@reggielauderdale7332 about that

That’s the video bro😭😭😭
@@trek7985 I know idiot. He edits the music in. I'm asking if he did that on purpose or not. Otherwise it's a neat coincidence.
Cant wait to see the amazing builds over on Reddit!
SAME!

10:02 lol such a good joke 😂😂😂😂

Oh that's awesome, thank you!
@@MustardPlays I will also add because i forgot to, that the arrows just show direction in which they can walk

Debug mode is basically a game testing thing for a certain area that has enemys or something
I love how the new bike has a red color, and another white one with stickers, both referencing Akira's bike
Great that you are teaming up with directing Pete you and Pete are both my favourite creative TH-camrs
Mustard excited by everthing
Me: your just waiting until it comes to creative 🤣
The new AR is definitely made to work with first person because you can see it on the sight
Lil whip went to spirit form 🤣
The NavMesh in simple terms is the possible paths the AI can take, so you can see if the AI will go into places you don’t want it to.
@Michael bot lol
Good work dude!
Perfect example are Gmod's nextbots.
No idea how it works, but I had the AI navigation blocker.
@superboy Brody ???
How did you get to the BR island I tried and I can't please help me
So glad you started playing escape from the city when you went on the grind rails. Very fitting
R.I.P for that chicken that mustard ran over 3:45 R.I.P Dave the Chicken.

Anybody else realise that the kinetic blade has the same abilities as the HF murasama (Jetstream sam's sword from Mgrr)
I really want the city as an island preset. It would make a great map for a katana game mode.
POV: me at 7:00 am waiting for mustard to post

Rail riding? Must be a sonic collab next
I've been waiting all morning for this video lol
8:23 Debugging Is a term in programming, where You find and remove bugs, or errors, from the program’s code. This is probably for creative 2.0
The AI nav-mash is for places where they can navigate and not bump into walls or destroy wanted stuff like a car or a building or your own building and the arrows are mostly for to not navigate like go through it or just be like a player and either jump over or mantle. Try using a movement modulator on the motor cycle
I love this season because the futuristic theme is giving me flashbacks to the chap1 season 9 vibes
Mustard u need to use the movement modulater on the new motor bike (make sure to use max speed!!!)
9:37 you can’t use the teleport button while flying so u need to be on the ground
OOOOOHHHHH!
The NavMesh is probably for UEFN
Wish they added the grey variant of c4 terrain
True
Oh my God, those cars could be used for back to the future if there could be a collab for it
Omg finally green aspen trees YESSS
Edit: new Japanese castle looks utterly beautiful, I can’t wait to get them in creative.
Can't wait for more people to realize that the Kinetic Blades are definitely a reference to MGR. So hyped about the new stuff!
"Why that's very good! Yes, I like that!"
perfect season for a raiden skin
@@lukeb_594 too bad epic wanted the "300th anime skin", TWICE IN A ROW. something tells me Fortnite is starting the "anime invasion ages".
I can't wait to see the new POI stuff in creative. I bet a lot of maps will be like Tenchu Stealth Assassin. Revenge of the Shinobi...
was that music in the backround when you were looking at the slappy shores galleries called train rush???
you can also boost on the rails and i feel like the debug tab was added accidentally since its usually only used by game developers
It was in the patch notes so I don't think it was accidental
@@MustardPlays ok okay i didnt read them, Thanks for telling me
i don't play fortnite much anymore but I'll watch this to keep up
All the leaks we didn't get this season: wall running, eren Yeager mythic, flameflower, first person, wall kick

the grind rails would be cool for sonic maps like city escape
With the new sword, a metal gear rising colab would be cool
BROTHERS YALL KNOW WHAT GRINDING MEANS.
SONIC ADVENTURE 2 BABYYYYYY
Wait the ai navigation is in creative you need to go on device and press add recent and is right there
@MustardPlays I have on my game (I play PS4) the ai path node restricter thing and for me when I place it nothin happens so I'm pretty sure it is glitched in or is broken
Mustard Plays Predicted Being Able To Drive The Cyber City Cars In A Different Video
The arrows show how the structure is rotated like in most other games we have a red, a green and a blue circle to rotate an object with
Those house pieces would look amazing for the back rooms
FINALLY, I've been needing some good nature pieces
You can use the swords dash ability after dashing and you are in the air
THIS IS A W UPDATE. 👇 IF YOU AGREE
A nav mesh is basically an invisible bounds area for ai. The bots, henchman, and zombies all use navmeshes to travel and pathfind
Hey Mustard love your content but I cant get discord or reddit, what should i do?
I think you have to hold down the teleport button 👍
Mustard plays here's a tip for u: if u wanna get the new device to stop the guards; just go to the devices and select Recently added, and there u have it

Dear Master plays can you please show us how to make the rift gate
Sadly the new katana weapon the damage to builds in creative so if you're trying to make a roleplay map or just a map in general and try to use those they can break all the props and walls
This is an amazing update! Maybe top 5 of all time.
2:46 Is it just me or does this look like akshia island from warzone 2 rebirth
If those props are their I'll build entire rebirth map
Same man!
The nav mesh is basically the areas that AI can go, the arrows are where the ai can jump or fall.
i thought you would upload video earlier lol. Looks like new season is cool
Well season only came out a few hours ago
Yo, that looks exactly like sonic grinding rails maybe 😮
Mustard plays you are the best TH-camr aren't there I have ever seen that that always works out for people 🥰
I have a question can console use UEFN?
Cool!
Why don’t you want epic Looking over your shoulder… DON’T WE WANT TO GET NOTICED!?
I had the guard device this morning when i was checking out creative, so maybe they disabled it
It looks like debug navigation kinda tells what surfaces do judging my arrows
3:30 hit the metal plate it does something cool
You should make a back room to level with that squared
Did he not know we could drift when cars first came out💀💀
And also the AI navigator is there for me anyone else?
To teleport you gotta hold, the outline indicates that
How do you get rid of the barrier
0:46 tell me this doesn’t remind you of the rail grinding from Sonic Adventure 2. To any OGs out there
The new sword is nasty.
It can take you up to max 8 blocks away from testing it.
Fun fact:the new bike is the new fastest veichle IN creative probably not in br 8 havent tested it yet, you can use the speed modifier to bump up its speed and with boost it goes up to 238
Everone hyped about the new map mustard plays creative!!!!!!!!!
Are slap juice barrels in the game?
It's basically kind of like area and perimeter you have it's like the angles is going for the things you were confused about
maybe instead of specifically marking where you go it makes it to the point where the guard moves in that whole area
love your channel, pls keep uploading
How did you get out of barrier and fly
I have a question can you at least the planet map without the game mode on it because I want to try something to customize it
I’m sad they didn’t add prefabs for the new Japanese style Areas cause the sliding doors are sick
How did you get to the map in creative mode
In unreal engine the Nav Mesh is a volume where any Ai can move. If they step out the nav mesh volume they loose the ability to move. I think that there only a small portion of the nav mesh is being shown. There might be a way to show it on the whole map? I have no idea what those arrows are 😂
Every thing for tomorow 😅
Im going to finish my build and spoiler it’s doors, y’all love it
Wat is the debug?
Love your videos! Keep it up
Kinetic blade is the best part of the update
So good!
