How can people here not love a shovelhead? They sound great, look great, and run great. My respect for the japanese has definitely gone up a few notches.
This looks 100 times better then what Sturgis or Daytona has turned into, no huge RV's and trailer queens plus they have not let themselves be commercialised to death.

I see a lot of big bike meetings on bike magazines at my local rental store and amazed at the boom. as soon as I get my harley Davidson I'm coming to this meeting spot! fun looking folks.

i enjoy the spirit of Harley and Davidson having no bounds. there is no color, no ethnicity, no sex and no economics when people with the spirit get together. when you get it you just get it with everyone else who gets it. take any two battling armies, have enough motorcycles for both sides, make them ride together for six months and you'll find its only the politicians who want to fight.
I am out here in Lake Elsinore California and I see bikes all day and allot on the weekends these guys would love it out here allot of open road and away from the big city.
I was stationed in Japan in the 70's, harleys look so out of place there, not to mention the speed limit is 40 klicks, 25mph, get a ticket for doing 60k, 36mph, hiways 80k, 48mph, they must get hot riding so slow. I rode a TS250 Suzuki, brought it back with me, it was easy to get around on and still get busted for speeding. When it comes to sidewalk riding a smaller bike is the rite tool over there. Came back to the states and rode my HD for 32 years until I got hit and bike totaled in 2015. Maybe the rules have changed, when I was there, only the police were allowed to have bikes larger than 750cc, I remember the Kawasaki Z2 750 was a beauty, smaller brother of the Z1 900, that model did not come to the states but has always been on my list of wanted bikes :( 2017 HRC Africa Twinn DCT currently

I had a '75 FLH and only had to change a push rod and rebuild the carb a couple times. Other than not having any chrome they were not that bad; still a Harley, so to speak.
I would greatly enjoy coming to Japan and riding with this group of people , anytime . As well , they are welcome to come ride with me and some fun loving good people also . Safe , good natured fun people . No gangs , or bad people . And we would even feed and house you folks for a week . I would take you folks touring all over Arkansas , Louisiana , Mississippi , all the way to the Florida keys if you want to . My wife is part Japanese , part Filipino . So yes , you are welcome and bring your pretty Japanese women with you . All are welcome .

This is American culture infused with Japan and it is a beautiful thing.
These are good down to earth folks,not afraid to laugh,even at themselves.
