  • Pilot Charles Tilghman had the honor of being the first to pilot the B-29 "Doc" after it made its return to flight after a 16-year restoration process in Wichita. (Video by Travis Heying and Jaime Green/The Wichita Eagle)

    Good interview. My dad was a WB-29 mechanic in Alaska during the Korea war.

      My dad was a KB-29 mechanic in England at Sculthorpe RAF in 54-57

    Is Charles Tilghman any relation to Old West marshal Bill Tilghman? Great to see "Doc" flying again!
