yes sister i agree with you it is haram to keep dogs as pets in islam , i have commented to mr balooch and his wife but he got offeneded and gave me a negative reply to which i have since replied back to him you can read my comment under his comment.

aslekum sister my advice to you is that in islam you are not allowed to have dogs in the house as in the hadith it clearly states that a muslim cannot keep dogs inside the home cats are allowed and parrots and fish in a aquarian are allowed as pets having dogs in house and holding them is against islam teachings , having dogs in the house stops the angels of blessings to enter the house if you have a garden or some land you can keep the dogs outside . but not in the house. My duty as a muslim was to advise you regarding this matter .
fulfill your duties for your family and advise them.. you wont be questioned about someone else but your family only.
