I would love to see you do some enhancing of this livery design! I loved the 1997 blue livery. I wish they would have kept it, perhaps incorporating the new "billboard" titles into the blue would have been the way to go. But then Southwest had to come along with a near clone of a livery. Let's see what you can do with the "Tide Pod" including the sundial "S"!
From afar this livery looks like a half eaten salmon. The all orange with the reverse color tail was the best option of the 4 presented but alas the pilot group (who preferred the all orange) was heavily outnumbered by the FA’s who thought the all orange was too aggressive.
I liked their old livery it was very classy, though I wish they would bring back the tradtion of naming there airplanes for minnesota lakes, that was a nice touch. The new livery just looks like a genaric budget airline desperate for attention, I guess that what you get when some souless NY investment firm buys out a local MN company.
Personally, if they had also included airbuses into their fleet instead of just all boeings the airbus type would've made their new livery stand out more and seem better suited for it. Just my opinion.. but I think that the airbus is just a better looking and better performing aircraft than the boeing anyway.
I prefer the one before this one. This looks cheap! The solid blue was way better. I work for this company. it doesn’t look nice. It actually worse it has tacky print on the other side.
So let me get this straight. This is a guy who makes TH-cam videos with less than 2,000 views, and sells Photoshop templates online. What gives you the audacity to say an existing aircraft livery isn't "good". I've seen some horrible ones in my day, but Sun Country's is BEAUTIFUL compared to most. The way to speak as if you had some authority in art or livery appreciation is vomit-inducing. Your PS skills are decent, your commentary not so much.
Our logo is perfectly fine
Uh oh lol
agreed
It's iconic to me, I love the logo as it's unique and recognizable

Have eaten salmon lol! Best description I've never heard of it.
Hey Scott, Have you tried illustrating the Cessna 172? If not, it would be amazing if you did. Thanks!
Yeah, that's one of the aircraft that I've always wanted to illustrate but haven't got around to yet. Maybe this is the year haha...

Totally agree - though I had no idea that they dropped the naming scheme. That's a real shame.
The terrain map is a depth chart of Lake Minnetonka which is a nearby local lake
It's amazing how subtle it is. It's an amazing detail that probably 90% of anyone who sees this livery would never even notice
The terrain map is the depth map of Lake Minnetonka tying into Minnesota roots
That's pretty cool - makes sense now that I look at it!
yes shadings can't be really satisfying in Adobe illustrator. very relatable 🤧
So true - hopefully they'll figure out how to do it someday...
@@Norebbo Great
I love your content Scott! Thumbs up from me :)
Glad you enjoy it!
I Think Sun Country Airlines Livery Looks Similar To Southwest Airlines Livery
It's definitely in the same ballpark!
They had several options they gave there employees to vote on and this one is what they chose
i wish the whole thing was just orange
That would be pretty cool actually.
ure the best dude!!!!!
