- 5mm diameter cotton cord - Dây cotton đường kính 5mm
- Ruler - Thước
- Scissors - Kéo

- Needle and white thread - Kim, chỉ trắng
- Mannequin
***** Preparation
Prepare the cord as these following lengths:
Neckline: Neck circumference + 60cm x 1 cord - Dây cổ: Số đo vòng cổ + 60cm x 1 dây
Waistline: Waist circumference + 100cm x 2 cords - Dây eo: Số đo vòng eo +100cm x 2 dây
Body-front: 260cm ( My dress desired length is around 130cm)
260 x 10 cords or 260 x 14 cords (If you want a less-skin showing look)
230cm x 20 cords (230 = (My dress desired length x 2) -30cm)
Thân trước: 260 (Chiều dài áo của mình là 130cm)
260cm x10 dây hoặc 260 x 14 dây
230cm x20 dây (230 = (Dài áo của mình x2)- 30cm)
Body-back: 260cm x 6 cords
(Depends on your waist circumference, you can add more or less than 6 to fit in with your waist after all Double haft hitch knots)

Hi CassiAdeleBroussard, With this dress, the type I used was 5mm braided cotton cord. It's soft and just a bit stretch. You can use 3 strand or braided cord with smaller diameter or different materials. But it should be soft for the comfy while wearing. Just leave a comment if anything is unclear. Good luck!:)

Hi Roxy, the cord used in the video is coreless cotton cord with very light and a bit stretchy material. You can consider use other type of cords (Even poly material or smaller diameter cord) as long as it's comfortable to wear. :D

@She's apples Amazing! I have a question: My tailor's dummy is thinner than me, does that pose a problem? Is it enough to add more cords to regulate the width or do I have to use a doll that is the same size as me?
Hi Clarissa! It's nice to have a mannequin as your size, but if not, it's still not a problem at all. The tip is that you should try on the piece to get the right measurement for each step. For example, the doll may need around 34 cords to cover up the chest area, but you may want to add a few couples of cords more to fit your size. So glad that you like it. But with dresses, I need exact measurement to make sure it fits well, a bit mismatch could make a dress seems wrong and odds.
