  • Thank you for watching The Confectionery Gallery's "Sugar Leaves Tutorial ..." where you will learn how to make realistic Gunni Eucalyptus branches for your cake decorating or general decorating needs using NO CUTTERS. You can also make these sugar branches with or without veiners - also making the pods without the use of molds.
You can us elements in this tutorial to create variations on realistic Gunni Eucalyptus or other eucalyptus varieties - these gumpaste branches make great fillers for sugar arrangments - especially great for cake decorating or if you simply love having no care realistic looking gunni eucalyptus year round :-).
******MAKE SURE TO USE PROPER FOOD SAFE PRACTICES IF INSERTING THESE SUGAR EUCALYPTUS BRANCHES INTO CAKES OR ANY EDIBLE ITEM(S)******
You can also choose to not create the gumpaste buds and simply begin assembling your eucalyptus leave as indicated in this diy tutorial.
You will first learn how to create the eucalyptus pods using NO MOLDS, followed by the creation of the eucalyptus buds.
Then you will see how to prepare your EUCALYPTUS TEMPLATES - pdf link here: app.box.com/s/7y1cy306mbfhcmc...
**Make sure to print out PETALS TEMPLATE on 8 1/2 X 11 paper**
You can of course use your own cutters or similarly shaped cutters if desired, following all other steps.
Roll your appropriately colored gumpaste into the indicated thickness and use your gumpaste eucalyptus templates to cut out the desired shapes. Next you will wire your leaves and shape them.
There are two dusting phases in this sugar leaves eucalyptus tutorial. The reason for two phases is to increase the realism of your sugar eucalyptus by creating leaves with delicately variegated shades of color.
You will add finishing touches to your realistic sugar paste eucalyptus leaves and branches. One of these elements is adding the "sap" which gives real eucalyptus that characteristic "powdery" look if one will.
We hope you enjoy creating this realistic sugar gumpaste leaves branch and may you have a great time using them in your cake decorating.
    Thank you for watching.

Thank you so very much. Glad you found the coloring useful. That can be a bit tricky but this detailing I think is what really brings to life realistic sugar creations. Thank you again and thanks for watching :-)!

Thank you for this great tutorial.
    It looks amazing.
Could you tell me what veiner you used and witch brand of dust. Cause colors vary with different companies.
    Hope to hear from you

Gerrit de Vries Thank you for watching. I used a homemade veiner made from real Gunni Eucalyptus leaves using Alumilite Mold Putty. I use different brands of dust. The browns and the dark green are Petal Crafts brand, the light green and yellows are The Sugar Art brand, and the Eucalyptus is Sunflower Sugar Art brand. I change brands based on various factors such as availability. One can purchase the Alumilite Mold Putty on Amazon or a local craft store. Hope this helps.

Первые два слоя окрашивания просто не получились. 🤭 В целом работа очень кропотливая. Такие работы только для конкурсов, на торт слишком много нюансов, обсосут, обломают и не оценят.
