Thank you for reacting to this song!! This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE Home Free song!! I love your reactions! Keep up the good work! I agree with Jeremy that the song is about turning up the radio in the car and having that be your church. That is exactly how I am!
Love the lyric analysis. Spot on for me. When I was younger,I loved to drive in the country to unwind. Just being surrounded by trees and lakes felt like a soul cleansing. Radio on high, singing along. Thanks for the memories,Jillian!
Thoroughly enjoyed the discussion of the lyrics! In my opinion, your interpretations, while a bit different, are substantially the same. We all find peace and redemption in different actions and places. And it's good for Jeremy to concentrate on the lyrics, but it's also good to hear the gears and mastery of the performance. You're a great duo -- always enjoy your reactions and comments!
Thanks for requesting this Ilana! As always, their singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific. When Austin was a kid he sometimes traveled & sang with his father's gospel quartet in Georgia, so if it feels like he took you to church .. . Thanks for playing this & your comments.
There is nothing better than driving down the road in your car listening to great music. Music always lifts my spirits. My husband & I did a lot of road trips in our Mazda Miata with the top down listening to classic rock. Brings back a lot of great memories.
Again a beautiful cover of Home Free, where the already great different voices come together so well with the amazing "twist" in between.. And of course the inhuman incredible freaking good "drum" of Adam Rupp as the complete creator. This will give you a big smile on your face and a good feeling... AMEN!!
Love, love love your reaction!!!! Keep doing it! #HOMEFREE When they sing it at concert, they get the audience to help say amen. Lots of fun in person!
Listening to music as you drive can definitely be as spiritually uplifting as a church sermon. Even more so sometimes because you can be singing at the top of your lungs and you can let the music take you away! I was told this as a child, and I've never forgotten it. "It's better to be fishing on a riverbank thinking about church than to be sitting in church thinking about fishing." And I've found myself to feel closer to God when I'm alone with nature and my thoughts than any other time! Great reaction and analysis! ❤
Oh, that is so true! I lost my dad in 2000, and shortly after I visited my boy in WA State. He took me up on Mt. Erie, in the San Juan Islands to watch the sun go down. The dark clouds made the sky black and gold. I felt like my dad was there. And then...in the darkness...a lone trumpet began to play. I felt like God had joined us on that hill. Better than any church.
I feel that he uses the open road and music to get close to God, because God is everywhere not just in a Church. Great reaction! Idk if you've already reacted to, Snap Back, or to their original song Dive Bar Saints. Both great songs
I love this Home Free cover, it is in my top 5 from them. I believe you need to experience the entire composition (which includes the lyrics), to get the most out of it. That's why I usually have to listen to a song several times before I can truly appreciate it. Each time I listen I will hear something I missed. So I appreciate the "Lyric Rewind". If you're not hearing the lyrics your missing half the song.
I loved the lyric rewind! I agree not every song needs it but some definitely do. I love that Jeremy brings my attention to the subtleties in the music. I hear songs on the whole so it is appreciated. Good on you for trying something new Jillian!!
Loved your lyrics analysis. I'm here for it. And this was a great lyric to analyze. There are plenty of ways to get in touch with your spirituality that doesn't involve a building. Some people need solitude rather than a crowd. What better way than a solo ride on a country road on a sunny day with the radio turned up.
It's a wonderful idea, please keep doing it. As a non-native speaker it's often times pretty hard to understand the lyrics, but that's one more thing I love about the guys: They are so easy to understand when you decide to listen to the words🥰🥰
Great reaction Jeremy & Jillian! I enjoyed this new format. It may not work for every song, but another one where the lyrics often get missed due to the video is their cover of Brother.
I had to watch your reaction twice to make sure that I was hearing it right. Jillian, you did a good job of getting Jeremy to hear the song. I especially enjoyed knowing that y’all came to the same conclusion. And Jeremy, I always appreciate what you hear in the other ear. I hurried and put in my beats to catch what you heard. What a nice way to spend my FrYday!!
I loved this! Great idea to discuss lyrics! So glad you noticed "When Hank brings a sermon, and Cash leads the choir" -- Hank Williams and Johnny Cash. And it's so cool that they sing the words "ring of fire" (Johnny Cash's song) a second later. Listening to country music on the car radio, and singing along with it, brings redemption and lets us "wash sins away" as the song says. :) I loved hearing you discuss the lyrics! Do more of this please. :) Absolutely delighted by this!!
Thanks so much, Ilana. Glad you enjoyed this, especially since we tried this new format on your sponsorship request!! We'll definitely incorporate more lyric analysis when the song calls for it!
Loved the lyric breakdown!! Music is definitely therapy for me. I wake up with it, listen while I work, and then when I wind down for the day. I wouldn't survive without it... or Home Free! 😂❤
Totally agree!! I always tell Ninja that I wish I had 2 brains…one that could just listen to music 100% of the time, and the other to make me function. Lol. Glad you liked the reaction! Cheers! 🤘🏽😎🤘🏽
This song and your analogy reminds me of an old Ray Steven's song," Turn Your Radio On". The last 2 lines of the chorus says "get in touch with God, turn your radio on!" When the video went to black & white and the audio changed I made me think of the days when all there was was AM radio and most of the programming in rural areas was gospel shows, the video reminded my old family movies that were recorded on 8mm film. I like this further analyzing of the video from a different point of view, great idea Ninja!
I so enjoy you two analyzing these songs. This is in my top 5 of HF songs btw. This one was so fun live when they had the audience split in 3 parts and led a sing along with the audience. So fun. Austin's gospel roots sure came out in this one.
Love the lyric analysis. When performing live, after the line, “I’ve fallen down from grace a few too many times”, Tim used to add “today”. It’s hilarious.
In listening to and watching this video probably 100 times, this is the first time I’ve noticed Tim raising his hand!! I think I was focused on the car during that shot. This means that music is my “church.” Music touches my soul in a very intimate and intense way that nothing else does. Although I’m not a total heathen, my soul is fed with music more than anything else. Tim and Austin both grew up in a southern gospel environment and you can see it surface now and then.
This one is going on my driving playlist, and I have a drive ahead on Sunday, heading home after a week away. In the car with the music playing is certainly one of the places I worship! And it’s great to see Jeremy breaking down some lyrics!! ❤️🎶
If you watch one of Adam’s drum solos, you can hear him talk. He can be funny sometimes. There is even a video of Adam giving a tour of his home. I think that you would enjoy that one.
Yes! This is one of my favorites from HF. I do think some songs lend themselves to more analysis of the lyrics. This is one. Nice job. Funny thing is I started following Jeremy because he breaks down the music. I enjoy the music but I’m listening to the lyrics and miss the cool musical gold nuggets! 😆
This WAS the first video released after Chris' last one - the God Bless the USA at Mt Rushmore, but not the first one with Chance. Yes, there is sooo much in the words of a lot of HF's songs - both covers and originals.
One of my all-time favorite HF songs. I agree, and I have felt the same. I do a lot of my talking to God when I'm driving down some pretty country road in my pick-up, listening to my radio. I am into lyrics a lot, and I make a practice of memorizing almost everything HF does so I can sing it around the house. Good exercise for my mind.😊
I like this, and the talk after about what the song is about ❤ please keep doing it. For me, it's about finding your own way to pray and find joy. I'm not religious though, but I still enjoy the meaning of this song.
I love hearing all the comments on all the different aspects of the video. Everyone reacts to music differently, and that's how we learn to appreciate all aspects by sharing our thoughts.
Love the lyrics analysis. Such a great example of how we can each hear and feel something different. I think music is transcending in the song, and brings the peace and connection other folks get from religion, or church. I feel this song to my soul. One of my very favorites from them. Great reaction!
I really enjoyed the different way y'all were in this video and hope you do this again. Not necessarily on every video but maybe just once in a while when you feel the urge/need. I love watching you two, Jeremy and Jillian. So much fun with you together.
This was a Great idea and I love it. My sister and I disagree on music, I listen to the lyrics first and she listens to the music. To me the lyrics drive a song and come first to a songwriter, I may be wrong about that though. So I was so suprised that Jeremy does not listen to the lyrics, but that is probably because of his music background. Loved that Jillian has joined Jeremy, gives your channel a new excitment. Home Free is my all time favorite group, just love these guys, especially Austin. Would love a reaction to him singing "Bring Him Home" on his channel. Thanks !!
With Home Free I feel like it’s more than the music and the lyrics.. it’s the meaning behind it all!I it’s a personal Journey, the music lifts you up while helping you face personal short commings. Lets face it we all feel better when we listen to Home Free!
This one is definitely a Home Fry favorite! Love the song, love the vocals and beatboxing and love the video! Just love these boys! ❤ loved your reaction! Feel free to analyze anytime; I love Jillian’s perspective on the meaning and I love Jeremy’s analysis of the video and sound aspects! Great job you two! ❤ #HomeFree
Love the lyric breakdown - I’d like to see you do more of it! It’s interesting to see if other people interpret them the same way I did, and if not it opens up a whole other perspective to consider. Thanks for your Home Fridays, I really enjoy both of your reactions!
I love this idea of thr lyric analysis it makes you pay attention to more than their outstanding voices. I am a person who really listens to the words. I really like that you went through the song twice cause I love this one. Great job!😊
One of my favorite "ear worms" 😆 Once I hear Adam's percussion on this one it replays in my head for the rest of the day ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ (And I love HF's attention to details--they consistently put forth the effort with creative touches like the old tv look/old radio sound that IMHO put their music and videos on a level above all others. 🥇) #HomeFree
Love the extra analysis, especially when Jeremy explains what he hears that those of us that don’t know much about music production don’t necessarily hear/understand. It’s great that you stop and say ‘when xxx happens…’ just after it happens, then I can hear what you are talking about. When you talk at the end, I don’t always get what you are you referring to. Love you guys!
I liked the added lyric analysis. It's interesting, there's some people who are just naturally more aware of the lyrics, and other people who focus on the music more naturally, and others who have more of a balance. Another reactor made a comment about one of Home Free's songs that mentioned religion, and said that some people could interpret this in a religious way, and other people who aren't religious can take it in whatever direction makes sense for them. That's the great thing about music, is it can take on so many different meanings. Some songs with Home Free you have to listen to multiple times to hear everything anyway, so it's a good idea to break the lyrics up. Also, what if you were just listening to this and there was no corresponding music video, would your takeaway be the same? I think you were right when you said music was the church. In this case they chose the car and driving specifically as a way to get that, but I think sort of an underlying message is music is church regardless. But for them, in the song, driving specifically allows them to feel it and enjoy it.
As my second ever video I'm seeing from this channel, I LOVE the lyric analysis. For me, lyrics are such a HUGE part of most country songs, so to go back and make sure you're understanding what the song is saying is very important. I'd love to see more!
Our bodies run on vibrations and music really affects us physically, brings us joy, memories, it is associated with times in our lives, darker music can stir anger, frustration etc. So i get from the song that when he needs to feel connected to God, the universe, etc. he gets in the car, turns up the dial and lets the music soothe his soul, calm his spirit, change his mindset, it is his church.
I like this lyric processing format! Music is an art and it affects everyone differently. Nice to hear the different perspectives. Thanks for all you do. Go HF!
They sang this song live at the concert I went to a few years back. It was absolutely amazing! A lot of crowd participation with this one. Wish I could share my video of it. They literally went "to church" with this one!
I see it as people use church to refresh and reboot and for him that what the highway does for him. Just him and the music how much more peacefully is that
I think its a lot like me when I get over whelmed i go for a ride and crank the tunes. Depends what my problem is to chose my genre of music. And everytime music gets me through it! Really enjoyed the reaction! 🤙
I do listen to the lyrics, but it takes me a few listens to catch the musical Intricacies because it feels like there's too much to take in all at once. When I listen to songs when the language i don't understand, I do hear the music in a fuller sense.
Really enjoyed this. I usually listen to the lyrics of songs but never really did with this one. I honestly thought this was a gospel song. Thanks so much for opening my eyes to the meaning behind this song. I can't wait for the next one.
I loved this breakdown by you! I think this is what reactions are really about and it is fun to see the take away from someone else, so I am personally really good with this. Thank you!!! ❤
Laughing with you already about your fsces when you saw, not Chris, but Chance. Plus at Jeremy playfully trying to steal Jillian"s thunder on the introduction. I am feeling better already!
Anything that gives us more of you two and more Home Free, I'm here for. I appreciated the assessment of the lyrics. Also, their videos often go along with the lyrics. So if you're not listening to the lyrics you won't understand what is happening in the video. So maybe with those music videos, having the lyric assessment would be helpful. But I wouldn't mind if you did it with all of them. 😉✌️💗🎵
Both of you are hearing what I'm hearing.....the "wind therapy" along with the music brings them closer to God!
Love when Ninja takes charge and you automatically still on the same page!
We make a good team. Thank you, Judy!! ❤️🥷🏻
HF is so awesome. Love this song. I feel you can praise God anywhere. Redemption is possible anywhere. 🎼🦋🎵🎶🔥
This song smooths the soul. 🦋
Thanks for requesting this Ilana! As always, their singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific. When Austin was a kid he sometimes traveled & sang with his father's gospel quartet in Georgia, so if it feels like he took you to church .. . Thanks for playing this & your comments.

2 thumbs up on the lyric breakdown. I love hearing Jeremy's breakdown of the sound engineering that I wouldn't notice. But I love the lyric analysis.
This is one of THOSE songs that you can't get out of your mind once you've heard it ... Home Free nailed it !
I feel that he uses the open road and music to get close to God, because God is everywhere not just in a Church. Great reaction! Idk if you've already reacted to, Snap Back, or to their original song Dive Bar Saints. Both great songs
Ohhh, I will second Dive Bar Saints. Love that original

Such a fun song 😊
My hubby and I take epic road trips, it's our 'church' too. Our last one was 5500 miles, 17 states!
And, I like your idea Jillian ❤
I loved the lyric rewind! I agree not every song needs it but some definitely do. I love that Jeremy brings my attention to the subtleties in the music. I hear songs on the whole so it is appreciated. Good on you for trying something new Jillian!!

Great reaction Jeremy & Jillian! I enjoyed this new format. It may not work for every song, but another one where the lyrics often get missed due to the video is their cover of Brother.
LOVED GOING BACK TO THE LYRICS
I think it would be cool if Jeremy picked his favorite songs he solo reacted to and have Jillian react to them
ooohhhh...great idea!!! and vice versa!! Thanks for the suggestions, @Pudge!!
Gotta agree w/Jeremy. Music can lift the spirit just as much, or more so, than anything you can hear in church.
Jeremy & Jillian, i love the idea of you guys discussing the music...really fascinating discussion of ideas. More if you want to do it....
My #1 traveling song, my dogs know we're serious traveling when this song starts.
Yes, i like you going back and doing a lyric analysis 👍 👏 y'all are toooo adorable ❤🥰
This song and your analogy reminds me of an old Ray Steven's song," Turn Your Radio On". The last 2 lines of the chorus says "get in touch with God, turn your radio on!" Love this song and version.
This one really shows off each voice in exactly the perfect sounds for each member, in my opinion.
Love the richness too.
Love the lyric analysis. When performing live, after the line, “I’ve fallen down from grace a few too many times”, Tim used to add “today”. It’s hilarious.
One of my favorites. Live they would do audiance sing along. It was great!.
I love these guys.. Congrats to PAULINA VILLARREAL aka Pau ..Best Rock drummer of the year 2023 at the 2023 Drumeo Awards. She Won...🥰🤟🎶☮️
CONGRATS PAU!!!!!! ⚠️❤️🥷🏻

I am into lyrics a lot, and I make a practice of memorizing almost everything HF does so I can sing it around the house. Good exercise for my mind.😊
I listen to you so often. Thx for all of your reactions
I appreciate that, thank you tweety!!
The first thing reactors comment on is the car. I grew up with cars like this. You could actually identify them by how they looked. Love this song.
My church is out on top of a mountain by myself and just reflecting! I so agree

❤🤠#HomeFree. I really appreciate your analysis of the lirics . Great reaction. The guys took us to Church and we enjoyed it.❤ 🏠🍟
With Home Free I feel like it’s more than the music and the lyrics.. it’s the meaning behind it all!I it’s a personal Journey, the music lifts you up while helping you face personal short commings.
❤ #HomeFree
Thanks so much, Patricia!! So good to hear the lyric analysis wasn't a flop!
Love this reaction
What a fun reaction .. Jillian taking charge and taking us someplace new!!
Great job!😊
I like the lyric discussion between you two. Thanks guys! ❤🍟
Glad you enjoyed it, Denise. Thank you!!
Fantastic reaction yes I love that!!! Can’t wait for more 😊
The bass "handoff" was spot on in this one.
This is so awesome. Lyric rewind it was awesome! Love your reactions! ♥
One of my favorite "ear worms" 😆 Once I hear Adam's percussion on this one it replays in my head for the rest of the day ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
(And I love HF's attention to details--they consistently put forth the effort with creative touches like the old tv look/old radio sound that IMHO put their music and videos on a level above all others. 🥇)
#HomeFree
Loved your review tonight and listening twice. More please.
I looooove this one! ❤ y'all would really enjoy seeing a live version of them doing this one. 😉🥰🥰
Super helpful comment, thank you. We are listening!! ❤️🥷
I liked the added lyric analysis. That was a cool reaction, I'd love to see you do that again!!
This is a GREAT breakdown and discussion of the song. PLEASE keep doing this. It sets you apart from the other reaction videographers.
WOW, thank you for that nice compliment!!!
As my second ever video I'm seeing from this channel, I LOVE the lyric analysis. For me, lyrics are such a HUGE part of most country songs, so to go back and make sure you're understanding what the song is saying is very important. I'd love to see more!
First, welcome @kb_bm_24 !!! So glad you are here with us, Home Fry! Thanks for the positive feedback. Glad we didn't scare you away too soon!!
I like the lyrical analysis to this song, keep it up in the future please!
Go HF!
Thanks so much, Kathy!! Although we won't do lyric breakdowns ALL the time, seems like folks like once in a while?! Appreciate you!
You two are so adorable! Love this song in concert as well ❤
#HOMEFREE!!!!
This is one of my favorite Home Free songs.
My feelings on the song are pretty much the same as Jeremy's.
They sang this song live at the concert I went to a few years back. It was absolutely amazing! A lot of crowd participation with this one. Wish I could share my video of it. They literally went "to church" with this one!
HA!! So true!!
Great reaction. As a country music fan I always listen to the words first. As we know, that means we are different. I still love y’all.
Thank you very much, Bobby!
I cant wait for Home Friday too!! Love you guys!!
Thank you, Vicki!!! Lots of love back!!
I like your analysis. Definitely want to see more of this. I would love your interpretation of Brother.
Thank you! Will do!
I see it as people use church to refresh and reboot and for him that what the highway does for him. Just him and the music how much more peacefully is that
Great job. Loved when you went back & process the whole song(HF, words & tune). You both do a amazing job. Keep up the good word.
Thanks so much!!
Thnx for this unique reaction!
Absolutely love this song from them. I think you guys are spot on. Love your channel. I don't mind you guys going back for an analysis. I love it.
Thanks so much, Bryan!!
My Church" is the first single by American country music singer Maren Morris. It was released in January 2016.
Love life be live this song!!!! Your reaction was priceless!!!
Thank you, Teri!!!
Loved the after song breakdowns of the lyrics.
This was my very first home free song I ever heard.
Love the analysis!
Great reaction from you two! I recently came across a video from a couple of years ago with Chris Rupp and Tim. Long Black Train! It’s awesome!!
Ooops, I a forgot that you did this already😊
Loved the lyric breakdown!
My favorite Home Free
Austin & Adam Rupp KILLED this!
peace
I loved this breakdown by you! I think this is what reactions are really about and it is fun to see the take away from someone else, so I am personally really good with this. Thank you!!! ❤
Thanks so much!! We won't do this all the time, but once in a while seems good, right?! Happy FrYday!!
@@musikbyjh Absolutely! And Happy FrYday, right back atcha!!! ☺
Laughing with you already about your fsces when you saw, not Chris, but Chance. Plus at Jeremy playfully trying to steal Jillian"s thunder on the introduction. I am feeling better already!
We love making you smile, Tina!! Happy FRYDAY!!!
I really like the lyric analysis. Great idea, Jillian!
Glad you liked it!
