I’m much younger than you are, and still in secondary education, but I had a very similar experience to CAPE in certain programs that were more centered on what I’m pursuing in my life, specifically biology and ecology. One of my biggest takeaways from this video is that I would love to see more education “Camps” for adults once they’ve left college, I unfortunately think if it were to happen it would mostly fall on individuals to set them up ourselves, or experts in respective fields with a lot of connections, but I don’t really know, maybe some big company out there has a vision for something like that already.
how is the youtuber community that were trying to create coming along? im super courious about that cause i seen other youtubers i watch do simular things and it seems really positive and how it could be a good design to be more generally adapted i thought of that because of how u mentioned that you wanna keep learning - and i think the only thing required for learning is the desire to learn and something/one to learn from (and the time to do so i guess as well) but so i thought, well if you gather a group of pationate smart people to live together that could be a path forward because you will definitly have things to learn from each other and if everyone is there because they love learning then i could see that as a really great thing idk the cape thing sounds super cool. i grew up in a more rural place but was extremely lucky to be surrounded by amazing adults trying to fuel my passion for stem at every turn as i grew up. these types of things where kids have a chance to make cool things in a self taught way is so wonderful and i just wish more aspects of the world could be like that - so more people get to be fueled by passion opposed to extrinsic needs
