What does brother Watchman Nee mean by "Christians who have sinned and fallen away" that "they are the exception"?
I'm quite confused because i know from his writings that he believes that a believer who has eternal life will not forfeit it. Is he talking about the joy being forfeited of those believers who have sinned and fallen away, or really about their eternal life being forfeited? I would be grateful for an answer as i consider him a precious brother in Christ and a mentor. Blessings!

A believer who has eternal life cannot forfeit it, even if he wanted to for some reason or cause.

To me this happens every morning: I wake up desiring God, but by the time I make my coffee and sit down, my flesh takes charge and put the Bible away, grab the laptop and endlessly browse for flowers for my garden, candles for my kitchen or Amazon for various items.
So, less and less I desire God during daytime.
At evening I remember God again, desperately turn to the Bible to get some fellowship with God before going to bed.
But I'm tired and frustrated with myself and feel like I betrayed God all day...again.
My fight is that early morning moments if I manage to hold the Bible in my hands and push away the material world of beautiful objects, then that day I do have closure with Jesus. ❤🎉
Cast your cares upon Him. The Lord will help you. Your heart is longing for Him but your flesh seems to take control. Rest on his strength. Draw from His strength.
The only way to explain it is to just know that you can do nothing without him
See God and enjoy the process. God wants you to have a day not a soldier drill. When ur minds wonder away after the coffee, see God in ur drink, flowers and everything else. The devil tells u u have missed it but it's okay to return in the evening. Try it out again again till you now get it but certainly don't condemn yourself.
