We are now in Week 6 and thus begins the real world of truck driving! I meet my mentor for flatbed, finish up his delivery from yesterday, hang out at the Phoenix terminal, and then I get my first delivery mission.

@@MrGoochos , I can appreciate that and I've been trying. However
1) This isn't the military.
2) This is a serious and dangerous job that requires a high level of professionalism. IMO. If I'm wrong about that, then anyone can feel free to correct me.
3) A mentor should be focused on training; not how much money they can make.
4) Stressing me out, raising my anxiety level, and shooting my blood pressure through the roof is going to put me in a situation where I can't drive safely. Right now, I can't even sleep because of what happened.

@@MrGoochos , the job itself doesn't stress me out. I've enjoyed the driving. The flatbed work is hard, but therapeutic. Right now, I feel like I can take the manual, watch some YT videos, and figure it out myself. I'm a lot smarter than they think, and I would learn more that way than what I am currently.
Also, someone who is trying to rush me, giving me wrong directions, distracting me while I'm driving, and expecting me to make unsafe maneuvers that cuts off traffic on a city street or someone trying to pass on a freeway is unacceptable. If I make a mistake, I'll own up to it. But don't expect me to put my CDL at risk because you (not you personally) is focused more on money rather than training me properly. Just because someone tells me "this is how we do it in the real world" and has 8 years of experience, does not make it right. IMO, that's 8 years of bad habits, and no wonder there are "bonehead truckers" on the road. I don't want to be one of them. It was fun and games with American/Euro Truck Simulator and we had some great laughs, but this is for real now.
I'm just on a rant right now; don't mind me. :-)
