Great video guys! I couldn't help but chuckle to myself when you were using actual bolts and stuff on the plastics......plastic on my 2008 is basically held together with gravity and zip ties. ;)
This video makes it easy for me to understand how the fuel pump works. My bike magically one day wouldn’t turn on, the battery was good , spark had good spark , checked the fuse seemed good. My last guess is the fuel pump. It still makes the prime noise when you turn the key. Do you think it can be the fuel pump or the injector and that’s why the engine isn’t turning on?
Sorry to hear about your bike. If the prime noise comes on then I don’t think it’s your fuel pump. Not sure what could be causing it. Maybe something with the kill switch?
Off topic, but do you guys also get a pulsating vibration in the handlebars over 50 kph? It's very annoying on my 08 WR250R and seems like it's coming from the back tire/chain.
My issue is that with any acceleration on neutral the wr goes off. I know is a fuel pump issue but it can be maybe some dirty fuel or air bubble on it?
Do you live in Washington st? I'm having a issue with my 2008 wr250x. Seems like a fuel filter issue. But I don't believe there is a filter to replace. I live in Port Angeles, Wa.
I used to live in WA state but recently moved to the east coast. Port Angeles is a nice area. I don’t think there is a fuel filter either. Hopefully you can get your bike running smoothly again!
Sorry to hear you had the same issue. My 08 wr was replaced years ago with zero issues since then and so far so good with the 15 wr that is in the vid. So you should be good 🤘
Great vid-tutorial bro! [I just linked here from a web search] I just did a fuel pump motor swap / rebuild & filled the tank to the brim [IMS 4.7 gal] There's probably going to be a few random gremlins from the bike sitting all winter, buuut.. my main reason for dropping in here: The low-fuel-LED-light has just come on and keeps blinking.. Odd.. There's Never been a single issue w/ the bike [as it is basically brand-new] I've come across mixed and/or stupid "answers", but, nothing solid.. Do you [or does anyone else] have an actual/factual answer to this one? I'm scratching my head.. [It's Definitely NOT a 'Bent-Float-Arm' - as most people say - Our setups don't have those! lol ] Any advise/ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! 🤘😎 Sam -
Wish I had an answer for you but I have not ran into or heard of the fuel light flashing. I prob take it to a Yamaha dealer to troubleshoot. Hope it’s an easy fix for you 🤞
@@joelwallisadv Hey Joel! Thanks a bunch for replying all the same! Yeah, I spoke to a few guys who either went to MMI [or similar schools] as well as a Yama certified tech. So far, nothing solid.. We're going to do a bit more poking and prauding soon, and Hopefully get things all sorted. **Fingers Crossed** on my side of the screen too. Thanks again man!
Good info, my one pet peeve is good instructional videos where the operation is done on a concrete surface. Please put down cardboard, old carpet, shop cloth or use a workbench for us anal retentive folks.

Thank you very much for your videos and sharing maintenance know how! Much appreciated!!

@@joelwallisadv the engine is cranking but dosent want to start

Did you ever resolve this? I'm having the same issue, it makes a priming sound but bike won't start like if it's not getting gas.
Hey, you should check out how to tow a bike using the foot pegs, foot peg to foot peg opposite sides.
I’ll check it out but hope to never tow again lol
Great video, Have you the same for remove Yamaha WR250R Throttle Body ? Best regards

We do not. Not sure what that could be. Hopefully you are able to locate and resolve the issue speedy

Where did you get the new pump ? Any links?
It was purchased from a local Yamaha dealer. I have the part number in the description if that helps
So I have a 2017 WR250R, and they never fixed the fuel pump issue. Just replaced mine, hopefully it doesn't die again.

Is that a Nomad in Garage
The car in the background? If so, it’s a vw bug.
