This is a perfect example of doctors mistreating and gaslighting their chronic pain patients. How awful to go in seeking help for pain, trauma or an injury to just be told you have a mental health issue or an addiction. Prescribed opioids are not even causing the issue with deaths and overdose, that is in large part fentanyl laced street drugs. Even worse, while we out here is patients are trying to get adequate care, these doctors and nurses can go in and have their buddies prescribed them whatever they want
YES ! Research studies show that many USA doctors steal pain relief medication pills and take these even though they are not in pain.💊 They go to work at their hospitals high on medications !
Amen we'll said! Makes it hard for people with legitimate chronic pain to access meds. I believe in pain meds and most people who need it are not junkies!!
As a nurse I'll tell you this is a horrible way to explain someone drug seeking be real pin bec "real pain" is subjective and shouldn't be judged. Stop demonizing the mass for a select group of people. They pull this on so many people and it's insulting. The protocol is loosely interpreted for profit. I'm a chronic pain patient with bones fusing together and can't get pain meds just THC. My arms burn as I type and fingertips feel weird for some reason when I touch things and barely function. When there is a history of depression, people are not believed as much and there is prejudice. I mean would you withhold food from a food addict? This is so insulting and harms patients who are in need but people are punished in mass for a small minority of people. And even addicts need pain managed appropriately. Damn
As a retired registered nurse with lupus and the usual problems of aging, I agree with everything you’ve said here. CBD helps somewhat but I think THC might work better. It’s illegal in my state so it’s not available. In other words even a natural pain reliever is out of reach for chronic pain patients. What is this world coming to? This poor simulated patient breaks my heart. Is he doomed to suffer? And to what purpose? This man is being honest and getting denied help because of it. This is cruelty and unnecessary.
I went to the hospital a few different times with really horrible lower back .. my back was hurting really really bad i was super stiff it went down my leg. As soon as the dr walked in i felt judged.
Perfect example of how to undertreat and gaslight a patient presenting with recurring pain. They call this a teaching video - it is. How to not treat a legitimate pain patient and convince them their pain isn't real or worth treating. This is how medical PTSD starts and trust is destroyed.
@@RyanG12742 Exactly. And in my experience (and everyone I've talked to), anti-d's are useless for primary pain with or without secondary depression. They just disrupt your neurochemistry, and it can take years to clear out your system and re-stabilize. Opioids - the best antidepressant! Pain managed? No depression, just quality of life, ability to sleep, think, function, and engage in life with gratitude. Prohibition is killing us.
I lost my job because I couldn't work after a pharmacist refused to give me OTC codeine. For no reason. Glorified drug dealers not giving something I needed to walk properly with. My boss just said my illness was holding back. He was a potential partner who worked for me before I got sick. 90% of what they sell does nothing . 50% of heart attack sufferers had high cholesterol.!!!!. In other works the biggest selling drug ever........is useless. Not only that but cholesterol is vital for living. You can Google that . Big pharma is evil@@pav688
Well it would be awesome if a practitioner actually spent that much time with you lol. This is crap though. They told me no to pain medications for a week thinking i was seeking drugs and ended up with infection throughout my abdomen because of a severely infected gallbladder. I was rushed in for emergency surgery and it took me 3 months to recover. Thank you though for looking out for my non addiction that caused me to be in severe pain for months.
I had a severe ear pain and was crying. I had a nurse snicker and say that I wouldn't get pain meds anywhere. I was able to get to another doctor at a different clinic. He took one look in my ear and told me what I had and said that it causes severe pain. All I needed was pain killers for 2 days. That nurse left me in excruciating pain because she thought I was drug seeking. The new doc gave me a few days pain killer, some antibiotics and in two days I was fine. I made sure that I made a complaint against this nurse, the VA where she was working and online. This is how people hate the medical community. Leaving someone in pain. If someone comes in a lot is one thing but you see a patient once, decided that they are drug seeking, when they aren't then leave them in horrible pain that's just medical misconduct. This is a terrible video. If you are in medicine, people are in REAL pain. I will never forget that nurse. I will never forget her name and after 5 years I still go on sites and give her terrible reviews because that is how bad it was and how bad I was treated.
My sister was turned away at a hospital in Brooksville Florida because they thought she was drug seeking because she was in so much pain. They actually called a cab and a man insecurity put her in it and drove her home. She couldn’t even get out of the cab, her children had to get a kitchen Chair to bring to the end of the driveway for her to sit on. They called a second ambulance and took her to another hospital in which they found that she had a broken femur and a broken pelvis. The medical community has taken this way too far.
Ok I get that some people drug seek for the wrong reasons. But only you know how your pain actually affects you, and if you take a few extra more pills, especially if the pain is so bad that you can't sleep at night, it sometimes cannot be helped. I really can't stand when doctors assume they know your personal pain. And beating around the bush about weather or not they're going to give medication is annoying. People with legit pain can't get the help they need anymore because of people who abuse it, it's life shaking. Absolutely horrible.
Yeah man it’s terrible for everyone right now! In the early 90’s and before opioids we’re handed out like candy 🍭 now they will only give you ibuprofen
They can't tell if someone has pain or how bad it is! Really she's sending in a mental health person. This is sooooo dumb and a waste because when we're in pain we don't need a shrink 🙄
Depends. Chronic pain usually has mental connections. Either starting in the mind or else over time effecting the mind. Best advice after years and years of going to doctors and only getting worse... Stop going to doctors, stop taking their poison, stop making others rich and yourself broke, weak and hooked.
As a medical professional. There are some things that are great about this video. But with chronic pain paitents & chronic illness paitents. They can mask thier pain very well. As a pain paitent myself & a RN/BSN I have seen alot.
Can confirm. The pain is like an annoying room mate that you have no choice but tolerate to continue to function. They have confirmed it is neuropathic in nature and most meds don't work to do much for it. Some days is in the background, other days feel like I'm being electrocuted or burned alive. The not knowing if tomorrow is gonna be a bad day is the worst part of it. 😢😢😢
Agree. Chronic pain can cause and influence depression. But just Throwing antidepressant at the patient and gaslighting them with “You’re not in pain, you’re depressed” is such garbage. Chronic pain is so complex not treating it makes EVERYTHING else worse that comes with it. The antidepressants they throw at you while not treating the pain is like putting a wet blanket on a tiny ember, patting yourself on the back and ignoring the HUGE house fire happening right behind you.
They should have asked how many he took at a time, and asked how else he coped with it. SSRI have awful and insidious side effects, they make you emotionally numb rather than truly feeling better. Also cbd and thc can stretch the effects of the narcotic meds so you can take a half or quarter of a tablet snd be ok.❤ out to anyone suffering with chronic pain 😢
Yep I fully agree with you SSRIs could cause suicide and severe depression and anxiety and they have done in the past. People who are genuinely suffering get fucked over by bullshit videos like this, it’s outrageous and should be removed.
When my pain management doc kept inquiring how I was able to keep reducing the number of percocet I was taking I finally told him cannabis made the ones I took more effective. He said thats illegal. I said you don't look like a cop to me, thought he would be glad I was reducing, make him look good and maybe give him knowledge he could pass on to other patients. It's still illegal in my backwards state and he dropped me as a patient. If they don't want to prescribe, but you offer up a way to do that and they freak out.
This is the most unrealistic scenario I have ever seen. Number one there’s no way he would be in a gown for that number two there’s no way the doctor would take that much time and ask that many questions to do that mini assessment number three there is absolutely no way that there would be a mental health professional that would just come in and talk to the guy in the same office? That’s a bunch of bowl. Unless this is in Canada. They have national healthcare. That might happen there. Is this in Canada? It’s certainly not in the United States
There's NO doctor that would spend this much time with a patient, especially since most Dr. offices double book or schedule 15 min intervals per patient.
I have 3 chronic pinched nerves in my back and the right side goes from my back, right leg is still hurting to my front, the Percocet has been the only thing that has helped, I’d like to see these doctors go through it and then talk to me
Yes, let's treat pain with anti-depressants and anti-epileptics. Neurontin and SSRI's. NOT! Tolerance is not the same as addiction when it comes to pain meds and pain management. I see this scenario as serving only one purpose: The eventual movement away from opiates to treat pain. That will have serious consequences. As a nurse for 30 years, I've seen this shift in approach and I do not like it. A few bad apples spoil it for the majority. There is a large majority of patients out there with acute and chronic pain and because of the DEA, FDA, and the State, they will not get covered for their pain. The pendulum has swung to the extreme. If it does not balance out, we will see uptick in suicides, and black-market purchases. There will also be a huge shift once again to heroin. Leave it to the government to eff things up royally. People need education and treatment, not education and OTC's. OTC's have very real consequences to as far as toxicity goes.
Norco 325/5 is the weakest opioid drug you can possibly have prescribed for you. I doubt it would help with serious back pain. Compare this with a typical bag of heroin bought on the street which contains 100 mg of heroin and which may not always be enough for serious pain. 100 mg of heroin, injected, is equivalent to 900 mg of hydrocodone (the opioid in Norco) taken orally. Norco contains 5 mg of hydrocodone. So it is only 0.006 times as strong. That is, you would have to take 180 of them to get the same effect as 100 mg of intravenous heroin. Don't do that because you would be getting a lethal dose of acetaminophen. Lortap contains 325 mg of acetaminophen along with 5 mg of hydrocodone. The acetaminophen would destroy your liver and you would either need a liver transplant, or die after 2 to 3 weeks.
@@kathleengivant-taylor2277 You are right. My mistake. You would need about 220 mg of oral codeine to get the same effect as 40 mg of oral hydrocodone, the opioid in Norco. So Norco is about 5.5 times as strong. However each Norco tab has only 5 mg of hydrocodone, which is equivalent to about 27.5 mg of codeine. Codeine is typically prescribed in units of 30 mg. So while hydrocodone is stronger than codeine, the way it is being prescribed these days, it is not. So for example tablets of Tylenol with codeine, 300/30, is a little bit stronger than 2 tablets of Norco 325/5. But yes, technically, you are quite correct, milligram for milligram hydrocodone is stronger than codeine, more than 5 times as strong.
This is ridiculous Firstly, why is he in a gown and sitting on an exam table the whole time, especially in front of a female mental health person?? . Then.. Drug seeking? Ridiculous. He was in an accident and got Norco which he used and it helped him heal.. Was fine for a long time but hurt his back the other day and wants to treat it and get the same medicine that helped him a year ago. Was there forever to be be prescribed anti depressants, called crazy, and an addict, in other words. This is the reason people don't seek medical treatment when needed. He wants Norco once more, not regularly, not forever, This is a horrible horrible video and was mistreated and gaslit.
Lol DR’s are so bad right now it’s better to just get something for your pain online bcuz these QUACKS will give you Saline ibuprofen and a pat in the back with a nice bill
Not to mention as a chronic pain person whose been through PT more times than I can count, your going to send someone whose already in a lot of pain to do something that will cause MORE pain for quite awhile before you see any benefit. I'm in pain so make me do something to cause more pain but don't give me any pain meds? I told the doc who tried that with me to fuck off to his face.
@@robboid - I hear you. I’ve had more PT, acupuncture and steroid injections than I can count. It only helped for a little while, if at all. I feel very fortunate to finally have a doctor who believed me and would prescribe me pain medication.
As a former opiate addict, I think this approach is perfection. When it comes to early intervention in a patient with legit pain, this could actually be extremely beneficial. It could mean the difference between a full out drug addict and a patient that has learned to manage a medical issue. It seems like the hypothetical patient here was walking a very fine line. Also cannot underestimate the compassionate, non-judgemental approach. Keeps the patient from becoming defensive and closed off.
Totally agree. As a former addict, I can’t remember how many doctors treated me like shit and just made me leave. And that drove me further into addiction. An addict is still a patient and deserves care.
Agreed. 100% AGREED. But I feel that this would only work as an EARLY intervention. I wish a doctor and a shrink stepped in like this for me at the BEGINNING of my run. It probably would have changed my life.
I agree with you but sadly this scenario is just a FANTASY! in the real hospital setting they will black Label you so every DR in the future knows you’re a drug SEEKER!!
There's a difference between addiction and dependence that's what people do mess up now this is one scenario but you can't use this as an overall picture me myself I was born with the generation in my spinal cord right so I'm 30 something years old now it progressed over 30 years I was on the way to get in oxycodone Percocet everything in the book I made a decision on my own that I didn't want to be on them no more and depending on them not addicted depending on them I switch to Subutex I've been on it for 6 years now my life is been very no pain the pain is completely controlled because it binds to The receptors well side effects are very low and of course there's going to be a thousand or more people on here saying it's just another medication is just another medication well f*** that I ain't cold turkey in this pain I was born with a degeneration in my spinal cord I'm not walking around like that every day matter fact with the pain sometimes you can't walk but being on the buprenorphine HCL 8mg three times daily my whole life is back I'm active I go grocery shopping I walk my dogs geez I even own things you know like I work hard I can earn I'm more enthusiastic about going different places I want to do things so everyone is not an addict some people just depend on it
Andjust come home with a Tylenol which is very detrimental to the liver and kidneys or an ibuprofen is that what you would want for your child I don't think you would you would watch something nice and strong to kill the pain you wouldn't want to hear your child crying out because your pain at night time so why is it okay for someone else's child to cry out in the night time for some strong type of pain control but it's different when it comes to your own child I have no respect for doctors I have no respect for nursesI on the other hand I have for I-10 glitches 2016 against the DEA and won my case and came home with a beautiful lawsuits from hospitalsI came home with millions and I'm the happiest person I myself have had surgery which require dope yours and my parents cried when I was 15 in my fifties and I was only giving Tylenol and they were for my behalf and I got prescribed opioids I wanted was no ceiling effect for the last 4 years and still counting to make my pain manager mobile for a better quality of life non-addictive to any of the opioid I'm also on a benzodiazepine worry-free stress-free and not worrying about if benzos with being cut offI know for a fact that my pencils will never ever be cut off so I live in a world of benzos opioids which is the way people who deserve to use them and need them have them at their disposalbecause my parents would not going to see me cry one more day can you say that about any patient in the hospital as far as I'm concerned you can go all f*** yourself because when I ever on going to the emergency room or hospitalbecause it is so stated in my PMP report and all my doctor's notes that I must be given my opioids I must be giving my benzodiazepine and there's nothing the nurses could have a man mean-looking face at me as they have pDepeche meds at me and the doctors have also lazily injected the opioids at a slow pace for out of disgust as a look on his face is worth a million words and I get a laugh and a Kik just watching that because there's not a damn thing they could do and I am well noted all over the system for opioid and benzodiazepinescame in through the backdoor as as more than one way to skin a cat go you could all go fuc yourself
Here's the thing with being an opiate addict and having legit pain. You know logically opiates are a poor long term solution. Tolerance goes up really quickly, if it's a dual combo medication, as soon as you start taking excess (and you will start taking excess) you are going to feel the damaging effects of overdosing on ibuprofen and paracetamol. The pain will get worse because of the opiates and that's before contending with the social problems of addiction. But if you have a bad back and stressed out, and you know one pill will solve your problem immediately for a week or two, its so hard to be logical.
@@HeadShot319 That is extremely rare, almost unheard of. Everyone knows these drugs are extremely physically addictive which is why they are so controlled. Physical dependence involves having to increase the dose otherwise you will experience withdrawal effects.
@@HeadShot319 agreed. Same here. I would sometimes skip a dose or have ibuprofen instead and then take it later with an empty stomach so that it felt stronger with half a pill. I eventually did increase from 10 mg to 15 mg per day as I also developed pain in other areas of my body as well as weight gain. If my HMO had actually provided real physical therapy, and if life did not demand constant use of my back, neck and hands, the 10 mg per day would have been fine for even longer than 10 years.
@jflsdknf I agree with you I started on Norco then when the max dosage didn't work anymore the swapped me to percocet and they did titration up to 10s and now I have to be titrated up again as it's not as effective anymore. I never abused them or ran out early just have built up a tolerance
@@thegamercat4447 do you think after a certain time they will try to switch back to norco to see if the tolerance has reset even a tiny bit? To me, Percocet versus hydrocodone is a distinctly different type of feeling, but tolerance seems to build more quickly (this was a few years ago) with Percocet and it made me more drowsy. Best wishes to you
So many times I have been in severe kidney stone pain as well as with my back four ruptured discs two herniated discs and I have had to talk to a psych doc everytime in the ER and of course I'm.not.going to say no I will do whatever they need of me but to be pushed like that oh your having a hard time I have a autistic son and I take care of him and I am having to push threw
I NEVER saw any Drug seeking behavior. So to me the title of the video is incorrect. Also I had oral neuropathy which was unbelievably the worst experience. I was on antibiotics twice a day just so I could livle with the pain And this kept the Infection at Bay, however I went to 6 pain management doctors because my teeth were falling out breaking and they all every one of them accused me of beating a Meth addict. And they would not let me talk. They asked me to leave their office. There is no opioid Crisis. It's not pharmaceutical Fentanyl thats getting in all kinds of things.
instead of giving him some harmless pain relief tablets they fried his nervous system with antidepressants, he got arachnoiditis from the steroid injections and they tried surgery but it failed and made him a thousand times worse, in the name of medicine they did this to him
What about educating providers and nurses about the realities of chronic pain vs. the kind of short-term acute pain scenario you present here? And I'm really starting to think Healthcare workers are full of propaganda when they present alternatives that suggest people can get their lives back without opioids. You all are just too optimistic about alternatives. I also wonder at how his depression details are very much what pain patients can have, and here you are treating it like it's a primary feature of his "drug seeking." After the fumbling of the last 6 years, most chronic pain patients will only very very reluctantly give up on opioids for these overly optimistic presentations--and will they be labeled drug seeking for that too?
I’ve never seen back pain get so much attention and resources. However this is comprehensive treatment, but not logical in a state run facility that sees over 300-500 patients every few days
This was a great approach. You opened other avenues of treatment. And also continued what worked for the patient, while letting the patient know they may have a problem with their way specifically. All while not embarrassing the patient nor belittling him either. Great job! Just wish this was protocol for more Doctors and Practitioners. Instead of the cold shoulder shutdown, which leads patients who are desperately in need of pain relief to dangerous illicit substances. Which lead to death rather quickly.
Educating the patient is crucial that way they can be in control of what is needed for themself as well as what precautions to take when needing pain medicine. What I don’t like is doctors with a predisposition towards opioid pain management because of a personal reason or whatever the case may be. That is extremely dangerous for the patient because they often times get so desperate for relief they turn to the streets for heroin or fentanyl. Being a therapist for veterans going on 11 years I’ve found that doctors overprescribing is just as dangerous as all the doctors who adamantly oppose opioid management to literally anyone, unless they are Post op. That’s not acceptable. That’s dangerous and irresponsible and even to this day I see veterans in my office or in group meetings who are denied significant relief for their injuries. These are people who fought for our freedom! And I’ve seen way more times than I would like to remember veterans killing themself because they no longer want to live in pain. Doctors should be held accountable for denying legitimate pain patients the medicine they need, just like doctors are held accountable for overprescribing.
You've got to be kidding. He hurt his back, a year after an accident, and got norco, one time. He now wants to heal, get norco to help him, then they call him crazy, and addict, and prescribe anti depressants AND leave him on the exam table, in a gown, even in front of a mental health person, who is a female. This video is an example of gaslighting and the reason people don't seek medical help. Those two women need to have complaints sent in, teaming up to gas light a patient. How dare them.
I’ve been on Doxepin for stomach pain (the medication they give him at the end of the video) and it is a joke for pain. It made me feel very out of it and sleepy. It did help my anxiety though!
What if you had a drug problem but later in life you broke your back and burned yourself horribly, do you get punished now and they say sit and scream better to give aomeone meds and risk they dont need it then let someone w legit serious pain have. A miserable life. These videos are made to help contribute to patient profiling
Hell yeah he was stoked. Someone gonna have a good night . I know that feeling tho. As awful as it is, the pleasure I used to feel when the doctor would tell me they were going to give me pain meds.
@@kyleknapp1985 Move to Canada, free dilaudid and obscene amounts like 30 8mg pills a day(plus in this program you are allowed to use the pills whenever, however) plus MScontin on top(up to 1000mg a day plus max30 8mg D-8's a day), shits a warzone here :( I'm not lying, i am going to make a mini documentary about it, so many homeless and people OD'ing here.
First of all, the idea that "drug seeking" is so frowned upon is abhorrent. When we are in paint, of course we're seeking medication that will help us feel better! But are all looked at with suspicion, like we are criminals because we are in pain and from experience know what medications help us feel even a little bit better
Yes & No. Many countries have BANNED THE PRACTICE... Please do research. The injections don't help us patients walk away better, they make our issues worse. Current full 360 spinal infusion with 2 vertebrae gone, replaced with a full metal cage, back in 2018 (32 at the time) after 3 years of intense pain not knowing for well over 2.5 years that I had a broke disc that was embedded into my spinal cord and was leaking, undergone multiple injections (unaware of how harmful in the beginning) several discograms and experimental devices (not safe either) I ended up in pain management 2018 and still to this day can't work or hardly walk and am looking at additional surgeries to my entire back and my cervical (neck). Please I beg do your research!
It is crazy hard to get medication from doctors nowadays. They all tightened down. Its a joke usa needs better health care. Even getting a 3 day suply is hard to get
Yeah but that’s not what was going on here. They didn’t do any imaging, any REAL diagnostics, they labeled him an addict and sent in Psych to gaslight a patient in pain and make him think his pain wasn’t pain. This whole training video was a big fat fail.
If I was suffering from severe pain (like the kidney stone stuck in my ureter for 3 weeks now) and the doctor sent in a mental health worker, I'd surely fly off the handle.
Yeah I call BS. on this whole thing. You are reading from a script I got hurt at work totaled my back Lyrica and Cembolta left me in a Zombie State the Surgeon says no to surgery because I am high risk lets just say my new norm is pain all day and night and only have Tylenol. I can't even walk to the bathroom without wanting to scream you are not solving the problem you are adding to it and I have learned this over the last 10 months of seeing a surgeon, seeing a joke of a psin management doctor and nothing done. So stop trading pills for pills i took myself off all the pills because I refused to be poisoned after learning what thry actually do. Do not blow sunshine and rainbows up people asses. This really pissed me off.
I trained to be a pharmacist and was going to work for a company making chemical compounds, because ik the lingo, i guess i shouldn't be "allowed to" to have any medicine, even though ik more then they may even know, that's why canada is great, they don't act like dickheads about pain medicine.
Why is it that drs are so quick to hand out anti depressants when someone has physical pain from injury ? I am a strong believer in physical therapy and massage and physical exercise such as walking, cycling on stationary bike , stretching, ect use of topical skin treatments for pain, ice or heat. Sometimes however when nothing else relieves patients pain narcotic pain mds become nessary too relieve pain to a point where patient can lead a more normal life
And give a proper dose! 5mg vicodin isn't going to touch certain pain. No wonder he took a few extra. So whst? Anti opioid zealots. One size don't fit all. Some can be on 300mme and hold down a managerial hands on position working 70 hrs a week. And advocate for both cpps & animal.welfare on off time, Living alone, paying own way. Stop judging everyone. If someone is an addict they can let you know. Be accountable and responsible for yourselves. You don't limit alcohol cuz some might be an alcoholic! Just as many die ea yr from alcohol related injuries & many are judt innocent bystanders turned victim due to someone's irresponsible actions of drinking. How many cpps are victims of drunk drivers? There's a study you might want to do? Stop selling alcohol on every street corner starting at 6a to 3a, geez why not just sell.jn 24 hrs a day? Are lives being saved by no sales forv3 hrs a day, lol. What a joke!! Stop Illicitly manufactured Fentanyl!! Stop pushing abandoned pain patients to buy street drugs! Pain is pain, suicides are up. RX is 20 yr low yet overdoses climbed 600+%!!!
And tens of thousands of pain patients have been on a steady dose for 5, 10, 20 yrs. Is it tolerance or just improper dosage?? Titration is normal during first few mths to a year of medication. No one tells diabetic they take too much insulin. Are all blood pressure patients on same dose?? Of course not.
That’s exactly why they didn’t show it in the video lol 😂 😂😂😂😂😂, instead of giving him the medicine he asked for, for a legitimate back pain issue they pumped him full of SSRIs, other medications I can’t recall the name of and gave him the medicine he wanted ffs. He’ll need to be an accountant to workout how many years he’ll be in debt for!!!!!!
The records really got messed up with the electronic health records. They have things in my record with no dates prior to the EHRs. One DID manage to get in from 2009, but I'm certain it's not from MY record.
OMG Seriously. Wait till you Doctors are in pain . But I'll bet you Doc's will have your doctor buddies take care of that for you Wink Wink. For those in pain consider moving to Mexico they will take care of you. They're not crazy down there like they are in states.

"I feel more hopeful, positive and energetic when I can take pain medicine. " That's called being high my brother. And that is a perfect description lol.
Well thats also the same way you feel when chronic never ending pain finally eases up, which is why its hard to “catch” the “addict”. But not like it matters the doctor said these feelings came from low seratonin💀which, obviously it doesnt, hes feeling these ways because hes INCREASING the seratonin from the high💀

These "medical professionals" are confused. There is a huge difference between seeking drugs and seeking pain relief. Give the meds trather than punishing pain patients. Shame on you all. Btw, ROM isn't necessarily a sign he's not in pain. People do what they're told even when it hurts. He should have stopped when it started hurting, but like me, he keeps going even when he's in excruciating pain. Mental health hogwash. No such thing. He's in emotional distress due to pain.
You’re NOT a doctor, stay in your own lane. There, how do you feel being judged??? We won’t listen to you because we think we are smarter?? How does that feel?? How about get off your judgmental high horse and start TRYING to help people. There’s professionals that truly want to help and then there’s professionals that let their title get to their head and end up being eagle testicle judgmental asses that help no one. Just because you go to college or school for something doesn’t mean it’s for you.
So you’re a fake doctor not smart enough to go to medical school and actually do practical practice for experience so instead you settled as a pharmacist who gives her customers grief and big notes herself and act like you’re some knowledgeable general practitioner
1 seed of doubt from 1 Dr can and will follow that patient and red flag them for the rest of their lives! Absolutely disgusting!!
They actually can’t. No one is immune to the prohibition.
These Doctors will be the very first people to beg for pain pills when they are in severe pain.
So true .
YES ! Research studies show that many USA doctors steal pain relief medication pills and take these even though they are not in pain.💊 They go to work at their hospitals high on medications !
They don't have to beg. They can get them.
@@milascave2research shows that the USA doctors steal the strong pain relief pills !
Damn
Have you tried a pain management clinic? I go to one and they help me. It might take you awhile to get an appointment but...just a thought.
@@hopespringseternal2624that was so kind of you to take the time to suggest this.
I wish u were my nurse u understand

Pain ? straight to antidepressants. Yet the pain is making you depressed to begin with. Prime example of gaslighting

Exactly.

Wow. No wonder doctors think all patients are liars and drug seekers. This is awful for educational purposes!
Yes, a terrible drug seeker.
I will never forget her name and after 5 years I still go on sites and give her terrible reviews because that is how bad it was and how bad I was treated.
brings back when I also suffered ear pain and was treated like a drug seeker. As it turns out, my left eardrum had ruptured. Idiot, heartless doc...
Just give the man some pain medicine!! Jeez you don't have to give him tons of pills but just enough for HIM to feel better, stupid Dr's

💯🎯
I liked the part where she ordered any type of imaging... At all...
Agree. Not USA . This is not realistic at all
It’s the USA
There are doctors that have mental health people come into your appt and talk to you. I know, because I’ve been to one. He’s a cancer doctor.
There's NO doctor that would spend this much time with a patient, especially since most Dr. offices double book or schedule 15 min intervals per patient.
This video makes me sad there is no “dislike” button here anymore.

Oxycodone and morphine are the best for back pain
No it’s not. The weakest opiate would be codiene or tramadol which is opioid
Lol! and WTF?? Talking to this man like he is a child.
Plz use a semi realistic scenario next time!!
Lol. They put him on antidepressants. What a joke.
That’s absolutely insane. He’s going to have a hell of a time trying to get off those and could feel off for months afterwards.

This might happen in an ideal world but I doubt this happens very often and how in the hell will he be able to get PT with no insurance?
Not to mention as a chronic pain person whose been through PT more times than I can count, your going to send someone whose already in a lot of pain to do something that will cause MORE pain for quite awhile before you see any benefit. I'm in pain so make me do something to cause more pain but don't give me any pain meds? I told the doc who tried that with me to fuck off to his face.
@@robboid - I hear you. I’ve had more PT, acupuncture and steroid injections than I can count. It only helped for a little while, if at all. I feel very fortunate to finally have a doctor who believed me and would prescribe me pain medication.
Then the doctor and the mental health professional get their kick backs from the pharmaceutical company for pushing their drugs.
Bingo, then the pharmacy wants to judge what the doctor ordered and treat patient like shit. It’s always the patient in the wrong.
Let's give him some crazy medicine lol.

Not true. I was on the same amount for almost 10 year and didn’t need an increase.

Ok i typed in symptoms of Parkinson's and got this junk? WTF for real!!
instead of giving him some harmless pain relief tablets they fried his nervous system with antidepressants, he got arachnoiditis from the steroid injections and they tried surgery but it failed and made him a thousand times worse, in the name of medicine they did this to him
What about educating providers and nurses about the realities of chronic pain vs. the kind of short-term acute pain scenario you present here?

First of all, the idea that "drug seeking" is so frowned upon is abhorrent. When we are in paint, of course we're seeking medication that will help us feel better!
OMG and you still have him a narc script?! Hahaha what reality is this
So much for the experts! Pure BS!
"Good plan of care" ....not CURE. LOL😆 !
No pain relief pills for you ! 🚫
In the end they told him he'd have his life back now he looks like this🧟♂️🛌💨🌄🧟♂️🛌
Drs have a God complex I had a kidney stone and er dr called me a lier id love to see him have one with no pain meds
Don’t smoke!!!!!! Unless it’s marijuana,then it’s all ok.
Any time a non medical person that's a patient uses the word "intermittent", they've been googling. Don't give them any lol
Only a doctor would know the word intermittent
Some may do this, but Honestly, this is an insult
And how in the world can this man afford to go down the prescribed treatment plan😢😢
Intereogarion a little bit? Total b s
Always read/keep a copy of your medical records, especially in the A.I. world, as all docs will take as gospel the records. Geez!
They prescribe Opiods and then they tell us, OOOOPS. sorry you can't have anymore! For people who have CHRONIC PAIN it is miserable ! I suffer from Chronic Pain Rheumatoid Arthritis, Scoliosis, Hip Dysplasia, degenerative hip disease and the list goes on, and on! I have been fighting for the right to not be in pain for years! My doctors don't care that I am in constant pain. I am also a retired Long Hauler ... I drove a 15 - Speed Peterbilt for 12 years and yes, I unloaded my own Trucks for years. I am a 5'7" female. Who weighed 140 lbs. Soaking wet. To say the least I was a tough little gal! Now I suffer on a daily basis. I am 60 years old and can no longer work at all! No disability, no retirement. No way to get any, and then to make matters worse, my doctors make me feel like I'm faking it! Sometimes I wonder why I am still here? Please ask your Doctors to listen and treat you as a human! We are human! We are not drug seekers!!! We are in pain!
Doc muh back hurts, hers your pills, thanks doc!
Wow I'm a pain management patient, severe Spondylitis, 4 back operations " on the job injuries " Severe Neuropathy and I only take 5 MG of oxycodone " when the pharmacy " has them, drug companies have cut supplies due to tight, very tight DEA. Regulations. I haven't had my pain medication in a week I'm doing my best to bear the pain that is a 6. These opiates are needed by legitimate pain Patient's. Stop just giving these medications to people under 40. This man just wanted to be high so it seems, he's masking his mental illness with opiates.
Glad I didn’t go to this nursing school lol! 😂 oh come on this is a joke. Everyone is a drug seeker these days. Bullshit….. I’ve been on pain pills for a while and have managed to reduce my own dose, yet I still get looked at every time I go to the dr I’m
On a very low dose and just about to take the plunge and get off the last little bit. We are not criminals we are in pain.
Sounds like a lot of labs are coming up.. serotonin...depression...drug testing...🤣...I hope they did labs...sounds to me like premature DX...🙄...I hate dr.s!!!
The womens voice would annoy me
@leederbazoid THAT IS NOT TRUE. Think before you make such a public assumption
Why the psych consult?!? I already see where this is headed...claiming hes "pill seeking" or depressed which causes aches & pains that are in his mind
All excuses to not use opiates…😳
This is infuriating. You have got to be kidding me. Complete bulls**t.
😮 20:29 😅 bull shit he needs a psychiatrist and at his job he is just sitting down. He needs herbal remedies not more pills that's going to lead to more side effects.if he had real back pain he would not be able to sit on that table for so long.he wont get workers compensation for being lazy.
In absolutely disgusted at this video and everyone listed in the credits is participating in being biased and teaching others how to stereotype. This is criminal to even pose this as an "educational" video. I am disgusted and outraged. Let me see those credits, names and name of institution again. You then get reported for "teaching" this quack mentality.
Bs
The need for the psych consult is outrageous for a simple pain injury. U guys are everything wrong w healthcare.
This is crap.
This guy was a horrible drug seeker!
As a pharmacist , with all symptoms you’re showing, you’re not qualified for narcs medication. You just developed dependency.
Dependency is NOT addiction
What a joke
What a joke
