I live in Las Vegas and will soon relocate to Philippines; Nanay Gloria's is one of the best buffet; LV is a melting pot for many cultural food from around the world. My family will surely miss it; once we leave this August...😂😂😂
Most of these foods have short lists of ingredients. The method of cooking is older than this country's history. And there story in every dish. Egg rolls and pancit noodles were Chinese influence. Kare Kare(Curry Curry) is from Indians, the use of tomato sauce is Spanish, and the rest are from Indonesian and Malaysian influence. Sour Fish broth is similar to Chammoros. Adobo is the ancient way of preserving precious meat.
when i ate here the food was luke warm. whole time i was debating on eating palabok when its that temperature lol. not a lot of choices. the tables were left with dirty dishes . we actually had to ask for more dishes there was none. lol then the busser started bussin. they ran out of certain foods.i guess some of the pricier to make dishes has certain amount per day like kare kare. it was like 2-3pm . it wasnt bz. maybe if u eat here like the 1st 2 hours of opening u can enjoy. but if u go there near the afternoon its pretty much just leftovers lol
Looks good. Didn’t know they have Filipino buffet in Las Vegas. My favorite would have to be Kare-kare, and Lechon paksiw ( meat from the whole roast, re cooxked with vinegar , soy sauce & sugar. So good !

I going back to my vacation home over thee. I have an appointment with my cardiologist on 07-26. I will get myself fish oil, geta prescription Atorvastatin (cholesterol control) by next month. I will try to get my driver's license in NV. I hate paying CA taxes but I love the pagkain

Mechado, Tapa, Sisig, Lechon Paksiw, The milkfish / bangus is good with the Monggo and Chicken Curry! yummers!!!
Allergic to pork, so probably can only consume the beef dishes, chicken adobo, chicken curry, chicken skin, fish, rice n the bananas for dessert.🥰Truly wish they’d ADD chicken skewers, pandesal n flan. it's similar, not simular. 😂 everything looked good (except the bittermelon....hate ampalaya). we go to vegas quite often being only 2 hrs away so we'll need to hit that up next time we're there.
Man, if you're going to eat Filipino food, at least do it some justice by eating it right. Put some lemon juice on the palabok, eat the kare kare with some bagoong (fermented shrimp paste), etc. Otherwise, people who are unfamiliar with Filipino will follow your lead and not have the best experience possible trying our cuisine.
As someone that spent some time there I think Filipino food is underrated

the sauce is shrimp stock based. w pork, cchicharon. the yellow is from anato seed

Pancit Palabok is flavored by shrimp sauce/gravy... They use shrimp broth to make the sauce.
