These deaths are more brutal than the first installments of Mortal Kombat, without a doubt, very advanced for their deaths, especially because they are very comical XD
I recall, because some annoying 90`s kids always say " they could get away with anything back then. Not like today." 90`s things are cool. But you all sound imprudent and annoying. It is always "nowadays" and referencing to today. Why can`t I go to one video without these comments? Well, I better prepare for people being ignorant towards my statement.
I'm just wondering why they don't get more creative when they clearly have the option too. Example Death Space. The whole turning into a necromorph thing, why don't they putting something like that in a death animation instead of just cutting his head oof so many times. I mean, they games seems to want to have some cool death scenes, but strangly just focus the most on body parts. And its kinda strange to see some of this possibilities just in a cartoony game. Which don't understand me wrong, I like cartoony games. And believe me. I'm usual not on of this "everything was better back then" types. Cartoons for example, I admit 2000 was a time where a lot of crap or just slighty decent stuff showed up, but nowadays we have a lot of great cartoons again. Personal I think it started with Phineas and Ferb.
i think why this gets a pass is that for all the dismemberment no blood actually spurts out of lance. they are still gruesome, but not as gruesome as they could be.
YES! YOU SEE children. You can do whatever you want, play with knives, guns, matches, on the roof, with dangerous animals, talk to strangers. After death you will quickly respawn, do a gesture and smile.
To be honest, these cutscenes weren't THAT scary to me after all. Pretty gruesome but not enough against "mindless beast Jennifer" from Splatterhouse 3.
If this game's deaths are more violent, more creative, and more brutal than Resident Evil and Silent Hill combined, we have a serious fucking problem on our hands.
Brony Rebellion X It's off-screen, you just filled in the blank not unlike the whole premise of the movie "Duel" where the truck driver was never seen.
I still remember that when I was a kid, I got so disturbed and scared playing this game because of the death scenes. The absence of blood and gore gives an uncanny feeling.
they're still aired in my country, but in tom and jerry, no one actually dies, except that one episode that turned out to be a dream... overdue spoiler
they're still aired here in the US, just edited. some of the more violent episodes or racially sensitive stuff cut out. And true that in the cartoons, when someone dies, it's very glossed over or just implied, but it still happens. I mean more to the antics that take place here: the cartoon chase, the slapstick violence, use of weapons in the chase and fights, the occasional (but not gory) dismemberment, etc.
***** the both of them die at least a few times throughout all the cartoons made. Tom dies more than Jerry tho (of course). Usually it's explosions that do them in. Tho once, it is implied that tom gets beheaded by a guillotine in the "two mouseketeers" episode. And in searching online, there's supposedly a time in which both Tom and Jerry commit suicide.
Oh wow, I only remember the guillotine and when he got smashed by a piano in "heavenly cat" though the latter was just a dream. Children's cartoons can be dark
Thing was, back then most of the stuff wasn't really this violent. You had Mortal Kombat in 1992 (which caused the ESRB rating system) and DOOM in 1993, but nothing really 'mature' until Metal Gear Solid in 1998. Thing is, this game got a K-A rating by the ESRB back in the day, what would be the standard E rating today.
MAN, I never even bother to tell you guys that my old bus driver who takes me to school, her last name is Fritz. No joke. Made friends with her for 3 years.
For some reason when I got about a quarter of the way through this video the songs Airman will not die and welcome to the black parade started playing in my head.
The some funny and/or violent death scenes of BrainDead 13. Just so you know, there are more deaths in this games. What you're watching now, are the guy's favorite death scenes he watched.
I remember this game. Man it's been way too long since I saw this, I always use to watch my uncle play this game it was like watching a cartoon on a game disc.
I think this whole thing would've been alot more entertaining as a cartoon, not as a game. I really like the characters and in my opinion they should've used them for a cartoon movie.
Question: Am I the only guy who thinks that a literal punch-your-skull-out, a metal football thrown in your mouth, a heavy whack in the head, and having your hand chopped off by a vampire lady and die of a heart block is really funny you want to laugh really hard?
Wow, I'm all for our introducing children to more mature themes and such as they get older, but I would wait until my child is at least in his teens before playing this. I gotta say though, I like the creativity in the death scenes.
It's probably because the art style looks like a Saturday morning cartoon from the 90s, so the deaths, while not as gory as they COULD be, seem uncanny when blended with something we would have grown up with on TV.
Well, she did once, in a fanfic (A sad one) and probably Twilight was crying right there, but I knew Rainbow Dash does everything in style, even at death, in a funeral, etc.
The thing is, kids aren't really bothered by most of this stuff since it's both a bit expected as well as being toony. however there has been this influx of "Oh lordy think of the kids!" and so we end up with stuff so sterile that when something DOES happen that is the least bit over the top/violent, it's so blown out of proportion. Most people aren't even aware that most of the fatalities of mortal Kombat, especially in 9, are meant to be "grisly" when you first see it, but the more you see it, the less it makes sense until it actually becomes funny. Ed Boon is a fan of dark humor. Shame it's under appreciated nowadays.
The deaths in this game are the most vicious things you can get away with in an 'E' rated title.
No blood = rated e for everyone
I'd suggest looking at Heart of Darkness, it's E rated as well and the deaths are very vicious.
GeneralCane and I don’t blame you, that’s how they get kids to play that game back then ya know
'Heart of Darkness' would like a word with you....
So as long as there's no blood, you can get away with A LOT
Yep lol
ThreeEyedPea
Thayer’s quest manages to be more disturbing than this despite also lacking blood.
ThreeEyedPea and that all changed when the ops happened
Well yeah it's a non-violence game.
This guy has the best fking health insurance...
Fuck, this is more disturbing than most of the M-rated games I play nowadays.
If Castlevania ever encountered Scooby Doo in a blender...
These deaths are more brutal than the first installments of Mortal Kombat, without a doubt, very advanced for their deaths, especially because they are very comical XD
Never has a death montage been scary & funny at the same time.
0:51 That's where Scorpion gets it from.
Poor Lance, he has to die so many times... well at least he keeps coming back in a good mood.
Imagine now how freaking scary it would be, to be in this situation in real life.
It's like Disney meets Itchy and Scratchy marinated in Nightmare Fuel.
Agreed, when I was little and saw someone play this, i almost pissed my pants!
giwake I didn't pee myself
Jeez and some people act like Mortal Kombat is so violent.
Yeah, all of these might as well be fatalities.
FINISH HIM!
Michael Vinciguerra well mortal combat is more gruesome than this
Suddenly I don't feel so well.. *hurp*
PhantomStrider ITS YOU
PhantomStrider // You can do a stand alone review of the game on your 'LiveStrider' channel.
These deaths are acid trip-inducing! 🤢
sniffles is awesome
*_Fritz!!!_*
If you think this is bad, check out waxworks!
And Elvira
i love how cartoony they still make it. it's like earthworm jim meets dead space
From now on every time I recover from a fall I'm gonna turn my hat backwards and pose just like that.
5:38 The Science Show
Piano!
*CRASH
Who’s idea was this?
How comes that old kid games have mostly better and more creative dead scenes than todays 18+ games?
"Because the death animations is too funny." So they say. -_-
Dante Bell Nobody says that.
I recall, because some annoying 90`s kids always say " they could get away with anything back then. Not like today." 90`s things are cool. But you all sound imprudent and annoying. toongrowner1 Good point. Except the 2000 thing.
1:15 When you're listening to a mixtape and it has a good beat.
1:23 - 1:30
Okay, I'm not gonna lie...that was f*cking awesome.
BigBrotherMateyka agreed
Does that happen when you're burnt to death?
@@rippetoe38 yes
A guy with hooks for hands... stabbing a kid in the eyeballs, and ripping his skin off his skeleton?
THATS the kind of family fun I expect in a game.
BeepingMetal I don't think Lance is a kid.
@@roshandarucker3417 But still
He isnt a kid. He can drive and holds a job. Probably in his mid 20s.
@@roshandarucker3417Lance doesn't have an official age, I'm guessing he's in his early or mid-20s
I played this SO MUCH as a kid.
My favorite parts were the revival scenes.
Frankly, Mortal Kombat has NOTHING on this game O_o
***** Fair enough XD
I meant in terms of creative ways to die.
And that's not even all of the death scenes
This one was even quicker
i think why this gets a pass is that for all the dismemberment no blood actually spurts out of lance.
they are still gruesome, but not as gruesome as they could be.
YES! YOU SEE children. You can do whatever you want, play with knives, guns, matches, on the roof, with dangerous animals, talk to strangers. After death you will quickly respawn, do a gesture and smile.
3:19 is my favorite death scene. I can't stop laughing at it.
Holy heck. Some of these are actually pure Nightmate Fuel. Still, amusing. Thanks for the video.
Hey Arnold! Hello, Football Head! Never thought I would see you before the actual show. 3:19
That last death at 5:37 is classic. Old falling piano.
+Brandon Hollingsworth (TinyDemonB) yep, da good ol' falling piano

This ^^^ and chestburster time up on Alien 3 for me
Waxworks is scarier then brain dead 13 deaths
It somehow manages to be more brutal than Mortal Kombat
This is some of the best and most brutal animatin ive ever seen.
I love the somewhat Ed Edd n Eddy random style sound effects...
Jeez, this guy must have it worse than Dirk, Ace and Reiko combined to go through harsh deaths like these. Especially the one at 1:19.
2:48 Sir Daniel Fortesque (without his eye)
If this game's deaths are more violent, more creative, and more brutal than Resident Evil and Silent Hill combined, we have a serious fucking problem on our hands.
It's amazing how they lent so much attention to the detail of the animation but none whatsoever to the gameplay.
I came to this video expecting this to be like Dragon's Lair's death scenes, but instead,I got these grim cutscenes!Dear Lord!
2:55 DUDE!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS A FUCKING KIDS GAME!! I MEAN, HE GOT KILLED BY A FORK........IN A BAD WAY!!!
Hey, i like this game ;3
Please tell me the good way of getting killed by a fork.
Did you just say.....kids game?
Hey, Germany is ok with showing this sort of stuff to kids..... no really. I'm serious.
Never played this game as a kid. Now I see why it probably gave kids nightmares.
Yeah.
If I were there I'd be the psychopathic "hero" to Rainbow Dash, saving her by insanely smiting Pinkie Pie to pieces with thy medieval mace.
shocking as this is, it's equivalent to most of the cartoon violence in tom and jerry cartoons that are now no longer aired.
they're still aired in my country, but in tom and jerry, no one actually dies, except that one episode that turned out to be a dream... overdue spoiler

Yeah good point. Although, I didn't catch anyone else dying aside from tom in two separate episodes, which do you mean?
***** the both of them die at least a few times throughout all the cartoons made. Tom dies more than Jerry tho (of course). Usually it's explosions that do them in. Tho once, it is implied that tom gets beheaded by a guillotine in the "two mouseketeers" episode. And in searching online, there's supposedly a time in which both Tom and Jerry commit suicide.

Children's cartoons can be dark
This feels like the person who made Freakazoid tried to get into snuff cartoons...
3:30
Was that a jingle from the windows 95 start sound?
No
THE FACT THAT THIS WENT ON FOR 5 WHOLE MINUTES.
God, Space Ace and the Dragon's Lair games were never this disturbing.
Remember Thayer’s Quest Had Blood In One Of The Deaths
2:21 The Last of Us Prequel
This is pretty fucking violent for a kid friendly setting.
Pretty sure that back then, there were no limits (minus blood and gore). They could go as far as they could with this stuff.
oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh! how dare you cuss that's it you are grounded for 32145678901345566778888 years go to your room right now

PATRiCKFBi MetalHead I played this game and my mom didn't feel like stopping me
It's like watching a twisted loony toons cartoon. No gore but still hilariously gruesome.
MAN, I never even bother to tell you guys that my old bus driver who takes me to school, her last name is Fritz.
No joke.
Made friends with her for 3 years.
I can't believe this game was rated K-A (kids to adults)! There's not blood or gore, man man, those are some brutal and gruesome deaths!
they are funny! as seen in 0:09
Played as kid, never thought this game was violent, now I see it, it's like man... Weird how my perception changed over the years
For some reason when I got about a quarter of the way through this video the songs Airman will not die and welcome to the black parade started playing in my head.
It was first released for the MS-DOS in late December 1995, if I remember correctly.
this is pretty disturbing stuff
Kurowaka-Senpai Only thing disturbing is your profile pic.
Idranoid
Two words.
Thayer’s Quest.

Ahhhhh, good old fashioned cartoon violence. I miss these days...
Hmm,The guy dies by getting cut in half, decapitated,A vampire cutting his hand,Gets burned into acid,Yup,a total good game for kids.
2:05 okay real quick question. Why is it that he fell onto that trap when we can’t even see his body being there when it came to those spiked floors?
I think this whole thing would've been alot more entertaining as a cartoon, not as a game. I really like the characters and in my opinion they should've used them for a cartoon movie.
Savage? Bah, give me a break... This is the 90's!
looking back there is some disturbing shit in this game
5:40 where did that piano come from?
I have no idea but it gave me that impression to asdfmovie4!
Either because it's cartoonish, similar to Dragon's lair,or because most of the deaths are just downright nonbelieveable :P
There are so many ways to die in this game I'd be amazed to see one video that compilates EVERY single one of them.
Me: *dies*
Vivi: Oh, did I do that?
Lucy Caven OH DID I DO DAT?
Question: Am I the only guy who thinks that a literal punch-your-skull-out, a metal football thrown in your mouth, a heavy whack in the head, and having your hand chopped off by a vampire lady and die of a heart block is really funny you want to laugh really hard?
I laughed at some of these.
Yeah got to love the 90s back when no one cared games or tv shows had this stuff lol
0:50 I think someone beat Scorpion to the punch.
0:51 His head was hiding that delicious T-Bone steak.
Wow, I'm all for our introducing children to more mature themes and such as they get older, but I would wait until my child is at least in his teens before playing this. I gotta say though, I like the creativity in the death scenes.
is it me, but does that hook guy resemble the first splicer you meet in bioshock 1?
5 Year old me: This isn't scary, but I die at the first stage.
Now: This is some Effed up shit.
1:11-ish talk about a pounding headache! 🤣
I lold at the part where he taunts and then got acid thrown to his face
These deaths are BRUTAL!
It's probably because the art style looks like a Saturday morning cartoon from the 90s, so the deaths, while not as gory as they COULD be, seem uncanny when blended with something we would have grown up with on TV.
Hey, I thought you were okay with being hilariously and gruesomely killed.
1:10 for the win! Anytime you can knock someone in the back of their head and their skull comes flying out..yeah thats cool.
Him respawning were the coolest scenes.
Well, she did once, in a fanfic (A sad one) and probably Twilight was crying right there, but I knew Rainbow Dash does everything in style, even at death, in a funeral, etc.

You missed the centipede and spider one .-. That's oakay, I forgive you. This was awesome!
Cheese and rice, this is fuzzed up!!
3:19 so this is where they got the idea of Stewie's and Arnold's football heads
I actually find that funny when that vampire lady chomped his hand off and goes like "Aw, did I do that?"
How the hell did we ever get away with all this crap? XD
Man, we sure have become bigger pansies.
The protagonist reminds me a lot of Katie Tiedrich, the girl who draws Awkward Zombie.
Violence like this was okay as long as there wasn't any blood!
It's like watching a Disney movie filled with death scenes.
Very nice compilation, very nice.
2:51 The funniest one. 😂
5:33 I like how a kids game still has enough detail to add the shell casings ejecting out of the guns.
dats purdy kool
Jesus christ! Some of the deaths are way brutal for a kids game. This would never fly today
4:27 Uuuuhhhh..... Yes you did.
Some of these just made me go "Why did I not play this when I was younger..."
... Or just throw the Holy Hand Grenade to her and then counting one, two, five- er, THREE.
If I had played this game as a kid, I would be scarred until today.
