The only thing, in my opinion, that they should of added is the ability to kill Drake before midnight...only to find out that pumpkinhead isn't a killer but just an asshole trying to prank you & had no intentions of killing anyone. It would of made for one hell of an alternate ending.

Got to give the developers some credit, at least the flashlight is functional. So many horror games seem to think that making the screen 98% black is scary.

There is another ending if you have Drake hide in the garage and Mary hides under the bed. It's a bad ending. The killer ends up killing Drake and the MC.

Kind of liking the contrasting art styles. I will say that the babysitter is freaky looking. Lol. Her blank stare and dark pits for eyes makes Mr. PumpkinDude look like a walk in the park. As always, love your videos!! Keep em’ coming, lol.

There's this guy (early 20s) that dresses up as Michael Myers and walks slowly around my aunts neighborhood every Halloween. He'll stand perfectly as still in peoples yards and behind trees. Sometimes he goes up to houses to get candy but he doesn't say anything. People just give him a handful because he makes everyone uneasy 😂 Nobody risks it haha
Aw I wish this game was longer because I kinda fuckin love it, it's so silly. There's something magical about those games honestly, I used to be neutral/skeptical about them, but now I genuinely enjoy them. And the music's always awesome 👍
I do wonder if there's slight replay value, though. The killer came in through the garage a few times during the gunfight, so I have to imagine telling Drake to hide there instead of his room might've changed something.
@@kikibrann6104 it doesn't look like there's a good hiding spot in the garage so I'm guessing the kid would get hurt and the player would probably get a bad ending. Unless those boxes are good enough. I am a little curious about what the devs came up with there
@@Zankaboo So I looked it up. If you have Drake hide in the garage, you tell him you're going to check things out upstairs. An invisible wall keeps you from going to the wardrobe and getting the gun, so you have to go to Drake's room. You then hide under the bed, but the killer finds you. Game over. It also turns out you can indeed pick up the knife and kill Drake before the church bell rings. If you do, the killer watches from across the street while you're arrested. But it's a missed opportunity, because the shrunken dude in the cop costume isn't one of the arresting officers. It's too bad Chris didn't go through for these endings, because I imagine his reactions to them would have been great.

I can be overly critical, so I actually hate most horror games on account of how much I want to love them. But I can watch Chris play games I hate, and somehow he always finds a wholesome way to enjoy them that makes me smile.
I just wish this developer would take a year or two and really build upon one of their ideas to create a game , so of their games work and are enjoyable but some often feel rushed and I often feel that they could of been really really good if given more time

Oh yes! Tradition always come first! It would be very rude to leave open door for treatortrickers and not giving them some joy to actually ring the bell. Such a silly looking game with interesting characters design but it was so much fun to hear being happy after encountering The Toiletman costume :)

616 Games really fall in this strange middle ground. Like they have a foundation that they build all their games off of and there is a decent level of effort in them, but there are many elements that feel so rushed and lazy. I guess it's pretty clear these developers want to be Puppet Combo and hopefully be on the same level of success. So rather than putting a strong focus on each of their games, they pretty much rush through them so they can have as many games on itch as possible in hopes one becomes a massive Puppet Combo hit.
Yeah, it comes off as just really low effort and extremely amateur. The models are all over the place. Some are low poly, and then the pumpkin head is extremely detailed and doesn't match the body at all. It's pretty clear there are probably a lot of free / community assets used but they didn't even take the time to pick assets that match the aesthetic they are going for.
Am I alone in thinking CJU is missing a bit of a trick by not producing Horror Videogame reviews as well? There are a glut of terrible titles on Steam and I'm sure he's endured most of them lmao His seal of approval would carry a fair bit of weight IMO. Drake looks like Mark Zuckerberg lmao
I'm watching these 616 games videos entirely because I enjoy watching your reactions and listening to your commentary. The only thing good about these games is the intro music. The games themselves are absolute F-tier trash. I'm writing this comment before even watching the video, because I highly doubt this game would be any different.
