I think every party should have a a room where you can drop off your introvert friend and the room would have like “boxes” for each introvert that they go inside and they can lock it if they want and there’s snacks, a tv a video game console, a blanket, a pillow and, most importantly, good enough acoustic technology so nobody else could hear them from the outside.

There's quite a lot, and apparently ppl these days try to be "introverted", which isn't truly a genuine introversion. Some ppl thought it's cool, and they're like "oh im so introverted" when really, they're not.
There's some awareness ofcourse, quite a lot I could say. But maybe not genuine people awareness. Not everyone cares about it.
But I agree, it's okay to be truly introverted. There's nothing wrong with being quiet if you don't wanna talk.

Yes, agreed! I didn't realize awareness was needed until I had an introverted son. Both my husband and I are extroverts so we've come a long way in understanding our son. But knowing beforehand would have helped a lot in understanding his needs. Our son is wonderful and I wish ppl would look beyond his introvertedness and know that it's normal!
Well, introverted and quiet aren't always the same thing. I'm an ESTJ who's socially awkward and not very talkative but I'm perfectly okay with crowds or being around people for hours if needed, while I have ISFJ and ISFP relatives that are very bubbly and friendly but need some time alone.

But then I got to thinking (not out loud), "I'm quiet everyday and why are you just now noticing?" This rap video is so relatable!! There is nothing wrong with wanting to stay quiet sometimes. I am an introvert, but sometimes I really like talking about my music interests with my friends and young sister. I sometimes talk too much and even find it annoying and tiring. And I need some time to rest and get some peace and quiet. In high school, I try to start conversations with other classmates and try to make friends. For some reason, I was the one always asking them questions and try to keep the conversations going. And, the other person just only like keep the conversations going after asking 1-4 questions. Or there are the ones that just answer with like a few words. And, just do not want to talk to you. Stuff like this sometimes me you anxious. Like I am boring them or just do not like me. But, I refuse to be too stress about it. So, I just stop wasting my energy and time trying to talk to them. And stay quiet.
Just have to find the right ppl to talk to, the ones who are willing to talk to you. I have a few classmates and friends that I have meaningful conversations with.

As an introvert, I was never asked this question. Instead, people simply attempted to engage with me and, when I responded with the absolute minimum answer that is both truthful and respectful, it only seemed to trigger further engagement attempts (or, rather, just the same one over and over again like the dynamic was some kind of running gag they couldn't get enough of).
I went to a camp once, and on the last night, we were all allowed to stay up to whatever time we wanted. Everyone was in this giant room playing a game, and I was sitting in the corner watching them because I had been with these people non-stop for the last three days. My social battery was non-existent, but I got asked this question so many fucking times that I ended up going up to the dorm I was staying in and reading

As an INFJ who's grown up in a family of codependent extroverts I was shamed a lot for being quiet and pulling back. I tried for a long time to show up in a more approachable, sociable manner to appease others. And with my family I came to understand when they were quiet most of the time there was something wrong. I myself am working on allowing myself and othes the quiet needed but I do have insecurieties around it. So I do ask quiet people why they are being quiet because I want to know if its a sign of them being comfortable in the quiet or if they are holding something/themselves back.
I get where this song is coming from. One can definitely ask it or be asked that in a demeaning, condescending way but it can also be a sign of interest and care to ask. I want to encourage other introverts to be open to the question maybe they are actually dealing with a more insecure introvert who might really get them or someone who just cares to understand. You'll never know until you give the other a chance.
