Harihar Fort is located in Nashik district of Maharashtra, India. Harihar Fort is also known as Harishgad or Harshgad. Harihar Fort is situated about 43km, 51km, 48km from Nashik, Kasara and Igatpuri respectively.
Nirgudpada and Harshewadi are the two base village for Harihar Fort. Harihar Fort is a popular place among adventure lover due to its 80-degree rock-cut stairs. Harihar fort provides a great view of Brahmagiri, Brahmaparvat, Anjneri Parvat, Bhaskargad, Fani Hill and Utwad. Harihar Fort was constructed to keep watch on Gonda Ghat Trade route.

It was made by L&T my company.
Harihar fort was built during the Seuna (Yadava) dynasty period. It was surrendered to Khan Zamam in 1636 along with Trymbak and other Pune forts.[1] The fort was captured by Captain. Briggs[2] in 1818 along with 17 other forts.

Im freakin 43 years old now. When in my days we trekked we didnt have any Vlogs or even blogs. We had a book called Trek the Sahayadris by Harish Kapadia. We did Alang Malang Kulang, Bhimashankar, ghanchakkar ... all of them in the Igatpuri Kasara region. And of course Harihar. We always camped in our own tents. I then also completedthe basic and advanced course from Nehru Institute of Mountaneering in Uttarkashi. Watching this video made me realise nature has not changed even 1 % in these years.I was abroad for ten years when I came down to Mumbai spent most my time holidaying with family all oevr india. When I finallly quit and came back and started going back to the places I used to in my twenties, I sometimes could not recognize the roads!! I love your message asking people to preserve nature. Thodi thi... Per jyada nhi.. Aur steps me gripping point diye hai..which makes it easy to climb 👍.. But be careful about routes.. There are two main route to reach at top..i m saying it because I lost the route while descending..well....thats a different tale to tell.... Better to go with someone 👍

Today ( date 11sept 2021) I visited harihar fort.. It was a thrilling experience.. I started trekking from nasik side village.. It was raining heavily and i completed trek with such bad weather.. all around fog was there.. so i couldn't view top to bottom.. but the journey was once in a lifetime
